Awesome!! Very happy!
Can't fault this unit! It's quiet and maintains temperature. Does everything it is described to do and for me it's nice to have a nice sized metal handle to open the doors with. If I had to pick on one thing, it would be that the freezer drawers don't open very wide, thus making a frozen loaf of bread hard to get out of the bottom drawer. But overall no regrets with this purchase.

Good Stuff
Our old Samsung gave up the ghost after about 6 years. For the original price I was pretty satisfied. We replaced it with the 457MW and it's just as good as I expected for the price range. Happy to have bought Samsung again to be honest, also matches the TV ;)

Excellent features, excellent price
Love this fridge. Economical 5 star rating using digital inverter technology, keeping power usage low, saving electricity. Even cooling throughout due to multiple cooling outlets, so you don't get 'warm spots' . Very quiet, no stop/start noise like previous fridges I've had. Had LED lights which allows great vision and handy LED panel showing temperature of fridge and freezer. Highly recommend!

Great Fridge!
We bought this as our second fridge and it has done everything we expected. It is quiet, keeps the perfect temperature and, as well as that, we like the shelf setup (the bottom shelf folds to half-size to allow for taller items). With the bottom mount, the refrigerator section is at a good height. Shelves are glass so they are easy to clean.
I would like the crisper drawer to be slightly deeper, a personal preference.
The freezer drawers roll out nicely and close softly. The ice-cube maker is ok - not quite as practical as our previous fridge...Read more
, but we get ice cubes! The unit runs very quietly, which is great, and the outside is cool to touch. It is 4.5* and lower cost to run. So far we are really happy, and we trust our good experience continues.

Wonderful fridge - love the versatility
The fridge is great, I love the wine rack, in fact it was the overwhelming reason to buy this model LOL. This fridge was a replacement for another Samsung but a bigger one, when we moved interstate into a unit the larger fridge wouldn't fit, so it found a good home within the extended family, and we bought a new Samsung as we have had very positive experiences with them.
The fridge keeps things nicely chilled without freezing in the fridge, our first Summer in QLD has been no problems to this fridge!

e freezer drawers do get a bit iced up, but that could be our using it to quick chill things (usually wine haha) Which is not what it was designed for, so we'll call that user error!! Overall I love it, I just wish it had a black option, totally over Stainless Steel, so we got white, which is fine, but black or matte black would have been awesome!Similar opinion? Very versatile fridge
Very functional and hard to beat for the price. Fits a tonne of food and I love the bottom mount design. White led lighting is great too. The split shelving is useful when you have too many bottles of juice, drink, water etc and want to keep them all cool.

Very Good Fridge
I was tempted to give this fridge 5 stars but it is not perfect for me because the door opens the opposite way to what I would prefer (and cannot be changed), I liked the design and it fitted my space perfectly. I find things in the freezer drawers get a bit icy, but maybe it is because of the hot Qld climate and it is working a bit harder. I love the bottle rack and there is enough room to put flat items underneath, also has the option of lifting up half a shelf to fit tall items but I have not needed to do that. The door storage is adjustable and roomy, and it has a very quiet motor.

Quiet well made fridge
This is a well designed fridge: good layout, plenty of door storage space and the horizontal wine/bottle rack is a great idea. It's also very quiet and maintains its temperature well. The ice cube maker is a little fiddly to get right so the cubes actually fall out but no big deal. The bricks and mortar shops don't seem too keen to sell you a Samsung fridge, they prefer to push other brands & models that have far worse product review ratings, maybe their profit margin is less on a Samsung. We got a great deal on this one online as an end of model runout.

Great performance, quiet and cheap to run - so much better than our old fridge.
We bought this fridge nearly a year ago. It replaced a 1990 520L cyclic defrost Kelvinator, which was good in its day but whose cabinet gradually fell apart, wheels mounts (in plastic for godsake!) fractured and fell off, formed huge ice balls on the fridge-section cooling element and used nearly 700 KWH/yr average. It had uneven, seasonally variable cooling and the freezer iced up badly. The new fridge is much quieter, more even in its cooling, no frost in the freezer and it has used only 270 KWH over 11 months set on 4 & -18 degrees (I have...Read more
had it on a useage meter). The lighting and layout is excellent. The larger vegetable crisper can take a whole celery and we get far less rotting vegetables. That's the only bit we regularly have to clean, though the rest (easy maintenance glass shelving) is pretty easy to wipe down and keep clean. We love the manual ice maker shelves. Negatives? The plastic surrounding one of the glass shelves along a back edge seems to have spontaneously cracked. Nothing fell on it and it make me worry about whether more will crack. The low wurrr from the fridge (like distant freeway noise and very easy to live with) is puctuated very occasionally (many days can go by between hearing it) by a sound like a knocking like falling small iceblock. Disconcerting at first, it hasn't affected the performance so we ignore it now. I would recommend this fridge so far. It does live up to its energy rating. FOUR YEARS ON: The fridge is going strong like new almost, having used 1180Kw in 4 years (295Kw/yr compared to 670Kw/yr for the previous fridge). I say "almost", becuase like a lot of Fridge-makers, Samsung uses sub-standard brittle plastic. The plastic at the back edge of the two lower glass shelves cracked for no reason within months of getting the fridge (though it only has ramafications for cleaning, not shelf support. More seriously, the milk tray in the door, sized to take 2 and 3 litre plastic milk containers, has developed stress fractures in the base over the years because of inadequate materials and/or design. The ice-maker doesn't release the ice easily when you flip the release lever and sometimes you can only get all the ice out by running it under the tap like for a normal ice cube tray. The LED tempreature desplay has lost one of its illuminated bars that make up the numbers. These are minor quibbles. On the whole, the fridge does the job very well and economically.1 comment

Samsung Excellence
Excellent constant temperature due to multiple air outlets in both fridge and freezer. Energy efficient 4 star rating with bright LED lights inside. Run by Digital Inverter Compressor technology which increases or decreases power as needed, rather than completely turning off then on full blast!. This compressor comes with a TEN year warranty! Excellent piece of engineering and excellent value. Shop around and you'll be pleasantly surprised with fantastic price.

Fridge died less than a year purchase. Poor customer service
The fridge died just less than a year purchase. The same technician from Samsumg came twice but still didn't fix even he claimed that it fixed. Called customer service and was told a manager will call me next day but no call received. Called the customer service for the next two days and was told the same that the manager will call me the next day, but still no call from the manager. Poor product and extremely poor customer service.

I Just love this fridge!
This has made everything so much easier in the kitchen. No stooping to get things out of the veggie crisper, everything at eye level and arms reach. We use fresh food more often than frozen so it is fantastic. I have a back problem and it has made cooking a delight once again.
Temperatures are great, easy clean, not too loud as we have it in a kitchen/ family room.
We looked at lots of upside downs but this one out as it has a 4 star energy rating and we liked the shelf configuration and what could be removed. We looked at lots of stores but pushy sales people telling us what "we needed" instead of listening to our needs sent us to Appliances online. Where they also took away our old fridge free.

Freezer drawer problems.
OK, the good bits.
It is very quiet, it is easy to clean and it maintains a good temperature.
The disappointing part is the freezer section. I was concerned about how much I could fit in the freezer due to an ice making section which takes up valuable space leaving only a very small drawer on the top row. My old fridge had much more usable freezer space. The WORST part with the freezer is the middle drawer, on many occasions when pulling out the middle drawer it falls off the rails. We had a service person come out to look at it and he ...Read more

Quiet Fridge
Had this fridge about a month. This is the quietest fridge I have ever come across. You can't hear it at all. With frost free fridges, you often hear noises when it goes thru its cycles, but this unit is silent as a mouse. Maybe it's just new, hopefully it stays that way. The other bonus is the inverter technology which supposedly makes it very economical. I have heard some say that this technology makes the fridge noisy but as I have said it is church-like silent.
I didn't give it five stars as the shelves are not super adjustable. In fact the top shelf is not adjustable at all.
The door bins are a bit cheapish compared to say F&P but only paid $880 on applianceonline post Xmas sale so am rapt. F&P is twice the price.

Love it. Sexy looking too.
Everyday our new fridge grows on us (we loved it even before we plugged it in). We bought it just before Christmas as we a lot of family staying for a week and it stood up to the task. We have never owned a brand new fridge so it was quite a luxury for us to have one working so well and doing what a fridge should do. It was the only fridge that fit our cavity in our kitchen perfectly so that was a very big tick for us.
My partner loooooves the square tray in the freezer for his frozen pizzas, something he pretty much lives off. I love ...Read more
the wine rack and the build in ice cube tray, and also the roomy shelves on the door for milk. We can fit heaps on it. Another great addition is a folding shelf which can be used to fit more taller items in if needed. It's great it has digital temp so makes it so much easier to view and adjust (not that we have needed to yet as the default setting has been perfect). The light inside the fridge is very bright which i love. Also the energy star rating is really good too. As we have only recently purchased we are yet to have any problems but so far so good. Yes it is occasionally noisy, but it doesn't bother us all that much, and I would have loved to have seen a double fresh produce crisper rather than a combined one so i could separate the fruit and veggies from each other, and a meat tray type thing - I am overally very pleased with our purchase.Similar opinion? No dramas, pretty happy so far
After reading reviews for other Samsung fridges I was nervous about buying this one, but budget and criteria won out and I lept. I bought it six months ago and haven't had any problems. I was replacing a 20yo Fisher and Paykel and was surprised that the Samsung was a little louder. But other than that it's pretty good. Glass shelves make me a little nervous but no dramas yet. Love the bottle rack, temperature indicator, door shelves are good, pretty roomy given it's the same dimensions as the old one. Freezer does freeze icecream pretty hard so...Read more
still to find the sweet spot there. Love the ice trays in the freezer. I've ended up using little baskets to house condiment jars in the shelves for efficient space. Door handle has always been a little loose but only discovered after delivery so haven't bothered to chase that up. Working out the temperature controls is not intuitive but once you know they're fine. I paid about $1200 so pretty happy with bang for buck. I have two friends who bought Samsung fridges around the same time as me: one hasn't had any dramas, the other had a dreadful time with Samsung service within a week when her fridge stopped working. So, who knows. I don't have any major issues with this fridge, but I will be back if anything crops up.1 comment
It's now 12 months since I bought this fridge and I'm still happy with it. The noise doesn't seem to be an issue, most of the time don't hear it. Freezer's still hard on ice-cream etc. But, no dramas.... Read more
I like the flexibility of the shelving too - has a bottom shelf that can be slid to half: handy for tall birthday cakes!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
