Great machine
Cleans clothes perfectly and very easy to use. Never had a problem with this machine. Clothes come out perfectly clean, does not leave too much moisture behind. This is also a quiet machine and not noisy at all even with large heavy loads in it. Would highly recommend this machine.

Will go back to front loader
We have always had a front loader washing machine. But with what seemed to be improved or better technology featured in a lot of the top loader machines we decided to give it a go. The Samsung 8 kilo machine seemed like a good top loader to start with. It works fine but we believe front loaders wash better just takes a bit longer.

absolutely love it!!!!!!!
i had a front loader, but the door fell off, so i thought i would try a top loader,
i am so glad that i did!!!! i absolutely love it. easy to use, hardly ever needs cleaning, just a wipe over with a damp cloth, as opposed to a front loader, always getting dirty in nooks and crannies.
smooth operating, cleans clothes to perfection, and i am fussy!!!!
great selection of cycles, and water heights etc. all together a fab buy and worth every cent.

Adequate quality given the brand and price.
Works reliably and consistently without issues. Quick wash cycle is also effective, but other wash cycles take quite a long time to complete. Drying is not very effective, but works adequately. Water use is quite economical. Overall, this product is recommended given the price compared to other brands – very satisfied.

Great top loading washing machine
Cleans clothes very well, does not wear-out clothes. I think it cleans clothes very evenly and thoroughly.
I like its ability to self-diagnose problems with Smart Check.
Using the dial and led display I can select one of ten different wash programs and easily adjust each cycle's options to suit my laundry load.
It has even got separate washing cycle for bedding. I like that a lot.

Originally I purchased a different machine from the Good Guys along with their additional 3 year warranty. 2.5 years after I purchased the other machine a Samsung repair guy broke my original machine. There was lots of rust in the machine and he put a new case on it but it was too small and he broke the machine. He also flooded my laundry. After being given a much smaller loan machine Samsung finally replaced this machine with the WA80F5G4DJW in January 2015.
This machine is rubbish. Rust started to appear around the sides very early on. Cr...Read more
acks also started to appear around the top of the machine. Then the lid cracked in the top left corner. This crack revealed rust on the hinges. Eventually the lid broke completely and the lid was difficult to close. The rusted hinge was broken and stood upright. I had to put the lid back on it to get it to close. Rust kept running into the washing machine which is not good for clothes. The right hand corner of the lid also had rust oozing out of a small crack. It's appalling that rust develops in fairly new washing machines. What are they making them out of? The machine was also making loud grinding noises and was stopping mid load. Plus the lint collector didn't work. Despite the fact I was told by Good Guys that my extended warranty covered my replacement machine until August 2017 I got rid of it. Samsung are difficult to deal with. It took them 6 weeks to replace the machine that was broken by their repair guy. Plus the Good Guys extended warranties are rubbish and a waste of money. I could not be without a washing machine so bought a better brand and got this piece of rubbish taken away. I didn't want the headache of dealing with Samsung or the Good Guys ever again.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent machine
Cleans clothes well, is reasonably quite. Clothes come out well rinsed. I like the tune it plays at the end when finished rinsing. Has auto water level or manual. You can open when washing and picks up from where it left off. Overall I am very happy with the Washing machine.

No frills (by today's standard) but very user friendly
Took delivery of the Samsung washer and it has been working like a charm for the past 9 months.
Very silent and easy to install and it washes clean.
My wife is very happy with the washer that is top loading and has a view of the wash (as it happens)
Setting are easy to understand and the biggest plus is it is easy to set up-no fuss at all.
The last machine we had was a like LG washer but the parts fell off easily with a couple of years but this one is sturdy.

Quite good, working as it should
It is overall quite quiet. I put in all the beddings and it keeps running smoothly.
Heavy load or light load makes no differences. However, for heavily dirt, it is not as effective. Stains remain if after water saving mode run.
I like it overall and would recommend others to buy.

Must own one!!!
It has been a year that this product does the wonder, Still in love with its performance -cleans and rinses beautifully without wearing out and left over soap on clothes. It does all around the job, can leave alone and work by itself by timer. Safe and quite big thing! Child lock, Timer/Delay, Extra rinse are my favs features!!

not a problem, quite impressed so far
purchased from harvey norman early january 17.After our old hoover finally died we found this washer to tick all the boxes we wanted,it washes well,is very quiet, has many wash cycles and options. It does not tangle washing any more or less then other washers,it has a musical chime at end of cycle which we find helpfull but it can be turned off if required, having paid less for this washer than our 18yr old hoover is seems great value for money although we dont expect it to last as long.the manual could be a lot clearer but you can also download a full manual online.we find the wash is good and the 720 spin speed dries to our expectations.all in all if the washer continues to trouble free i can recommend this washer.time will tell.

Clothes left very clean
Pros - cleans the clothes very well
- doesn't seem to wear out the clothes at all
- plenty of Cycles to choose from
Cons - if you do your washing late at night, it has a very annoying tune when it finishes
all in all, a very good machine and well worth the price

No reason so far to give less than 5 stars
It was easy to be cautiously impressed by this machine as its predecessor was a thirteen year old bottom of the range Hoover that had been utterly reliable but very basic. This Samsung is an immediate descendant of the ones which caught fire (hence the caution) with copious bells and whistles, much of which are redundant for us but a massive range of features is there if needed. Its performance has been faultless and is more pleasing when you turn off the warning chirps, but that’s just me. Cloths never tangle, and there is noticeable improv...Read more
ement in the rate of wear and tear on T-Shirts and the like. Unless you have a “down” on Samsung because of recent events than we would say, “Go for it”. One last thing, this was bought from Harvey Norman using their deceptive "interest free offer". Forget it, find another way1 comment

pretty good for a family of 4
the machine is pretty good for a family of 4. Doesn't make too much of noise and really liked some of the pre set freatures for washing. Also liked the self cleaning tub feature which keeps the machine nice and clean. only trouble is setting the wash time which would help to shorten some washes.

Re lint filter
I have noticed a few people post about there lint filter braking within 12 months. Now there is one thing i would like to point out I have ( as a replacement to the washer that was caching fire the WA80F5G4DJW ) And this washer has a clear lid. Now this is significant because if your washer is placed next to a window direct or maybe indirect sunlight comes straight in the top of that clear lid ! sunlight can and does affects the molecules of some plastic and makes them brittle. bit like the clear water coolant tank on cars they get brittl...Read more
e and break from sunlight. because these washer never had clear lids befor this was never a problem I always put a tea towel over mine when not is use. it covers the lid to 1 protect the lid from scratches and 2 from light getting in there to effect that filter.Similar opinion? Filter is broken by itself after 1year
I bought this machine nov of 2014.
Filter is broken today only because of quality of the Plastic. It was shockingly weak and very cheap toy plastic quality.
I should buy LG or any other brand but Samsung. Just rubbish, The small plastic filter gonna cost me another $35. No, Don't buy this.

Probably would not purchase again
We had the samsung model that was catching on fire... got the all clear and then it died. We decided to purchase this model. It has been good- clothes are washed, rinsed and spun really well and it has good options. But, within 3 months of purchase we had to have a sensor and panel replaced as it had an error and would not work. Samsung were OK about it- they organised repair, but in 3 weeks. It was a 30 min job. A week, week and a half ok, but 3 was a little too long to go without washing clothes. Since it has been fixed, it has been great. I have only noticed it is not draining all of the fabric softener or washing liquid out of the drawer... and yes I put the right amount in.

Harsh and linty
Bought this as I thought it would be easier on clothes than a standard agitator top loader. It's has wrecked most of our towels (they're all frayed and ripped!?!). Everything is constantly covered in lint, despite cleaning the filter before EVERY load. And it doesn't clean especially well either.
Only positives is its relatively quiet and it looks ok. Not really the main features I need in a washing machine.

Samsung Comes Good.... At last!
This washing machine is the replacement model from Samsung to replace the Samsung washing machine that I bought which is involved in the major recall due to potential self-combustion issues.
I've only had this machine for a month but it's proving to be a vast improvement over the recalled model.
Besides, to what I hope will not lead to the machine catching on fire, the machine has a few improvements:
- Improved software for determining correct water level for the wash load
- Fabric softener dispenser is now conveniently located next to the detergent box
- Filter seems to work better\
- Power Wash option

Questions & Answers
Antonyasked
Bought this model 3 years ago and for the last year dirt, residue and lint has been seeping onto clothes after every wash. We have cleaned magic filter after every use, completed multiple tub clean cycles and scrubbed internally to no avail. Are there any other ways to clean the machine?

Hi my machine is about 3 years old now and seems to do its own thing during the rinse and spin cycle. It literally seems to reset and start the spin cycle as often as it likes. I noticed that the washing was taking longer and took special notice and it just keeps stopping and spinning and resetting the time each time. What is going on?! Help!

Update after exactly One Year: No additional comment, the machine is still great with no down sides, for us at least.
