Genuinely Rubbish.
Sanity is so overpriced, plain and simple, and their range is pretty bad. I understand if they can't compete with bigger shops like JBHIFI but honestly, Pet Sounds (normal, plain old CD form with no extras or anything) by The Beach Boys is $39.95, who are you kidding.

Sanity Stuff Up Yet Again
I went into sanity store in Whyalla to pick up my pre-order of Batman v Superman after I got the phone call telling me it was in. When I arrived they handed me the Blu-ray, I paid for it and walked out. Got home and found out it was the normal 2D copy and not the 3D one I had pre-ordered. I went back to the shop and said "I think there has been a mistake" explained what had happened and then was rudely told "oh yeah we don't have the 3D ones yet". Why was I called and told it was in if it wasn't. Now being told it might arrive at the store this...Read more
week. The movie (all versions) was meant to be released today. Mostly not happy with the attitude the lady at sanity had, she wouldn't even ring head office to find out what had happened. Put your head in Sanity. I for one am going for online shopping else where.

Worst Service possible
Wow, just walked into Sanity Capalaba Park and ask a young girl if they had a particular DVD. She said rather abruptly, "I don't know" and proceeded to look annoyed and then put down what she was doing walked over to the desk to check - She obviously didn't want to make a sale or stop what she was doing (Maybe the boss needs to remind her what the idea of a shop is). Throughout the whole conversation she was rude, wasn't listening and obviously didn't want the business - I guess she doesn't own that shop or give a frig who does - If I was the...Read more
boss and saw that, she'd be instantly sacked - Tired of lazy, rude and useless people in this world. Oh well, I have black-listed another rude Shop - Bring on Internet shopping. Goodbye loser Sanity, I will never darken your doors again. Anyone want service then DO NOT GO TO SANITY CAPALABA PARK. Not too mention they have stupid expensive prices on about 95% of their wares.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great Service
in the middle of June, the lady in the Armadale gave me an exact price of a CD which I purchased and the estimated time it would take. a week later, it has already arrived and I'm very pleased. when looking for other CD's, they told me all the details about what I am going to be ordering, label and catalog number, and they helped me make my decision. a CD at JB Hi-Fi costing around 29 dollars was only 15 dollars in Sanity. the CD wasn't even in stock at JB Hi-Fi, and they told me if I ordered it from them, it could take a year. in Sanity, it was quicker and cheaper. Thanks.

Because media is stored behind the counters, service is painfully slow.
I've just come from Sanity store in Burwood Sydney, and left my proposed purchases back on the shelf, they were that slow. Perhaps their other customers are happy to stand around for ages, I can't, and I won't. Even with 3-4 waiting customers, and two serving staff, with the staff manually shuffling CDs and DVDs around, as well as going back to the selves, it took way too long.

Online Prices Not To Good
I go online 2.11.15 to look for season 8 of Smallville blu-ray. JB Hi-Fi had it listed in blu-ray for $33.95 brand new. I thought not a bad price.; Then I looked at Sanity online, they have the same item listed for $79.95, what are they smoking? That price listing is beyond a joke. Sanity should be ashamed of themselves because if someone paid $79.95 for the item sanity should refund them $46 bucks.

Check sanity online before shopping in store
Always usually buy from sanity online and have had a no problems.
Recently thought why I was at shops might as well buy my next series set in the store asked the girls for it and they were pleasant. when I queried why it was more expensive in store than online their mood changed, I said I would wait and buy online as that's what I usually do.
They rang head office to ask if the could match online price and after speaking on phone for awhile they could, that was great but the attitude of the two sales girls when I refused to pay higher price ...Read more

Rude customer service - Cannington
Called Sanity today to ask if they had a particular DVD in stock. Female employee said they could order it in and cost would be $20.00. To explain my surprised, "oh" response, i said JB Hi Fi could order it in for $7.98.
Sanity employee curtly replied, " well get it from them then" and hung up in my ear.
I wasn't price comparing, i was hoping to buy the dvd today without a waiting time. Won't be buying anything from Sanity until they give their staff some training in courtesy.

Terrible
I recently purchased the Limited Edition Pokemon Heritage Collection for nostalgia purposes through their online site. I live in the US but shipping wasn't really an extra cost or anything. When I received the package it had all this bright orange "Fragile" tape on it sealing it. I thought since the tape wasn't broken the product would be in good condition. I could not be more wrong. The first sign was that the tape on the actual product box was broken. That's when the disaster started. I opened it up and the box literally fell apart as I took ...Read more
it out of the shipping package. The plastic surrounding it was shattered creating a huge mess and there were cracks and dents throughout the ceramic ball. The only thing protecting it was 2 flimsy pieces of styrofoam that were already broken. I immediately attempted to call the help only to find that the number to call the support line was disconnected. (and yes I used the correct extensions for calling internationally). So I'm stuck with a 250$ collectible that is now worthless. The only good thing was that all the discs were still in their packaging. I will definitely never be buying from sanity again and I hope people look at this review and do the same. If I could give a negative star rating I would in a heartbeat. -Edit They just contacted me by email and gave me a full reimbursement for the item. I'd still be wary about ordering from them but at least I know they have integrity. Changing it to a 3 star review instead due to the quick reply and how they handled the problem.Similar opinion? High prices, poor strategy... no wonder they lose market share
In comparison with JB Hi-Fi, Sanity items are way overpriced. Ok, sometimes paying a higher price to get a rare and hard-to-find item is alright, but Sanity stores have an extremely stupid/brainless display strategy. For example, selling an expensive $200+ limited edition boxset by opening up the item and leaving the box casing on the display shelf to be touched and handled by shoppers... easily damaging, dirtying and creasing the box casing as a result. Where is the logic in this strategy?
As a collector buying limited editions, I'll be pu...Read more
rchasing them for collection purpose and would want to pay $200+ for an item that is mint and still sealed in its original shrinkwrap. At least JB Hi-Fi understands and gets this right. Question: If I can buy a perfect/mint condition item online (and even at a cheaper price), why would I want to buy it from a Sanity store??? Fact: Even my 20 years old collection looks newer than some of the 'new' items displayed at Sanity. All these $100-$200 boxsets with damaged cases on sale at Sanity... simply an abomination!!! Expensive, high-priced items carelessly displayed and damagedSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Shopping on sanity was easy simple and fast, although the prices are a little higher I would rather pay more and actually recieve my parcel. This shipping method was very fast and arrived before estimated time of arrival. If
You wait for sales it is a lot cheaper, they also seem to be in stock of dvds etc... That other stores aren't! all I can say is thank you sanity.

Great customer service for Lismore store
I am writing this review for my Lismore Sanity store. The staff are always friendly and willing to tell you what music is popular, and what music they'd personally recommend. On my last visit there I was delighted to find that some of the CDs that were on my wish list had been reduced to two CDs for $25 (new releases). It seems that if you are prepared to wait, some of the CDs that you are thinking of buying will eventually go on sale.
My only complaint of the Sanity stores is having to stand up to listen to music on their listening sta...Read more

Good for popular cd's and dvd's
i ordered some cd's and dvd's online and was happy with the service. The prices are alot higher than most placed but they have good deals like 2 cds for $40 or 3 dvd's for $40 and so on. My order arrived within the week aswell which was good. Plus you can earn points which then transfer into vouchers.
Good specials
Retail prices are very high

Expensive yet great customer service.
I always find Sanitys prices high. I dont understand why they do not compare prices with other retailers and drop the prices to something reasonable. They variety of stock is also smaller than other stores, and if there is something I want i must order it in. Other than that they have great services and very clean stores
Clean stores, Friendly staff
high prices! no variety of stock
