Hi all,
In general we are quite happy with our Saxon Walnut fireplace although we did have to replace the fan switch straight away under warranty as it never worked. it looks good and fits closer to the wall than most heaters due to its 8mm thick walls.
But it seems to burn out quickly and doesn't really maintain as much heat as it possibly should. Because of the 8mm thickness of the walls no firebricks are required but i wonder if it would hold and radiate the heat better if it did have bricks. Any thoughts? any tried this? Thanks!

I followed the instructions user instructions and cured my Saxon walnut heater. My wife and I sat in from of out for the long burn. The heater was loud and blew out cold air and then suddenly died. That's literally on day 1 off usage. the was a huge investment and after reading other reviews im starting to think that I've made a bad decision in buying this product. How do in get the fan fixed or can BBQ Galore swap it out with a superior product and cove installation costs?

Jamie, What is a "red ligjtvm"? The fan is only necessary if you need to distribute the heat generated by the firebox. The firebox works just fine without it.
