Disappointed

We purchased our Smeg range hood 5 years ago. Spent a bit more believing it was better quality and would last longer. Disappointed that it has stopped working and now have the added expense of repairing it. Noticed a lot of others have had problems with this model and it has been discontinued.

Disappointed from day 1

We trusted the Smeg name but are totally disappointed. The first 18 mths we had to call twice for repairs. One year later another problem and now the rangehood is 4 yrs old and not working at all. Unfortunately I'm weary to buy the same brand again.
Dishwasher also has had problems.

I'm pleased to say we have a resolution. Our rangehood was replaced with the compliments of SMEG. Really appreciate their prompt service.

Bought this rangehood and it was the most wxpensive between all the others feom bing lee after one year suddenly stopped working only light still working i called smeg and they will charge me for call out fee replacing+ faulty unit++ this rangehood was a mistake to choose ery disappointed my sister had a chinese ole brand still working and it is 70% cheaper i believe this model has a factory problem as i can see from previous reviews i have to check with consumer fair trading regarding this issue.

Found out that ours was a faulty one. Technician had never seen the problem before. Ended up getting a brand new one free.

How do I replace a light globe??

To remove the globe first you remove lamp cover by turning it anti clockwise then just pull out button globe

The range hood suddenly stopped working. Lights still operable. Bought new November 2011.
Misplaced manual for trouble shooting.
What best to be done?

Hi Susan try turning the power off to the hood for about 15 minutes then back on if this fails please call service on 02 8667 4833. Thanks Chris
