Current overload condition. Meaning one or more capacitors are bad (High ESR) or one of the led display lights has shorted (led driver fault - than one resistor to ignore the error may be possible). Resolution in 2022 is it is a non economic repair, and better ones can be had free or not much from Gumtree.com or the curb!.

I have seen people - with the power off, completely disassemble TV's to see how cheaply made they are. The front screen if not broken, is about 2 mm thick. It can be repurposed to block out windows to darken the room with strong durable gaffer tape. There are some high quality plastic sheets, that make good car oil leak catchers in your garage, or for when you next paint your house and need good dropsheets, say under doors. Youtube has videos how to make lighting with the used led strips.

In the days before remotes, we had to get up and press the buttons on the TV manually. All the 'manual' controls are still there, look along the bottom of the screen. The one you want is called 'Standby', you press it much the same as the button(s) on the remote.

To test the remote function, point the remote to your mobile in camera mode. press remote button. you should see the led blinking. if not then change the battery and test. still not work, problem with remote.
