My tv keeps turning on by it self no picture on screen red light still on but sound only all hours of the night
sorry to say but soniq was the worst thing i ever bought. there cheap, dont last long and parts are impossible to find. buy a second hand name branded tv like i did. cheaper than looking at repairs

My TV has just joined the others with the 'stuck in standby...not starting up' issue. Rather than send to landfill, I'd like to fix myself if possible. I believe there is a firmware fix that is available to download?

Remote turns on the tv it makes the start up sound and flashes soniq then goes black- no audio or picture. Standby by button remains red. Any ideas on how to get a picture?
How do I get the TV going. The standby light is on but turning on by remote or standby key on tv, it still does not turn on tv. All I could hear is the sound of the dvd on the side of tv.
Even that I cant stop the DVD on remote pr keys at back of the tv. Screen still black. Please help. This tv is for the autistic boy who needs it for his games thanks.
Sorry to say its probaly worth more to fix a soniq than its worth just buy a good secondhand name branded tv . You will be way better of in the long run.
Turns on ok but push the green button and will not go to full screen
Will be sending this tv to the Philippines where the system in use is American NTSC. Want to know if it will work over there.
How to turn on soniq tv from television without remote
When trying to watch movies off a usb hard drive can't get the picture to full size. It stays on the folders page and shows a small picture box with info i.e. picture size, data size etc.
Does the same on one other tv but works on our smaller tv.
I can't guarantee this applies or is correct answer, but as a general rule you cannot always transfer media recorded on one model TV to play on another if it is copyright and protected by DRM (digital rights media).
Also (off topic) never ever plug in a usb device that draws more than 100ma power into a soniq e48w13 tv, as it can blow internal power regulator. (See soniq stuck on standby).

Hi i have that tv, remote is ok as tried it on other soniq. But 90%, of the time remote will not start tv. Then 1/2 hr or more tv turns itself on. I think the reciever sensor is faulty
I change remote battery and nothing happened. The red light for sensor is not but doesn't looks like it communicate with remote. Reading many comments here, makes me wondered if this brand tv is still in the market.
At the time soniq quoted $38, and to bring to them. Then they wanted $127. Said it was a main board switch. We said no, we will buy a new tv. Then they were telling us to leave tv that they would dispose for us. We said no. We now have a smart tv hisense. Very happy. We had 3 soniq about 2mth out of warranty they die
