Can’t download apps, software is poo
First off you can only use the pre installed apps, for a new smart TV thats ridiculous
The software is crap, you have to exit any apps back to love tv to do things like turn on the sleep timer.
Wish I could get my money back, the whole system is poo and I have to use my PS4 with it, might as well have not brought a smart TV
Purchased in July 2021 at Big W for $899.00.

youtube software need to be upgraded
brought this TV from costco last year. Great smart TV, good build quality as you can expect from any other Sony product.
The only problem and the biggest problem of it is, I am no long able to use my smart phone to connect the TV and play youtube in the TV.
I have reset the TV but it just doesn't work. this is my second Sony smart TV by the way,
Other than that, when it comes to purchasing TV, Sony is always my number choice.

Ok TV
TV is ok. Picked Sony due to brand loyalty however I find the TV average with performance slower than expected. Was expecting the youtube button but remote that came with the TV had the google play button instead, which differed from the shops. Find operating system slow with direct wifi connection with laptop slow beyond comprehension. Other functionality works fine.

Good image and functions
The TV has a really good image and connect you directly to youtube, netflix, internet etc.
The tv is pretty user-friendly that my 6yo and 46yo can use it easily without asking for help all the time.

I am still getting used to all the smart functions but so far we are really happy with all the functions and ease of use. Even has a Netflix button on the remote. Great picture and the screen doesn't get hot! We love the picture quality. Images are so smooth. Sound quality is great too. Definitely rate the sony TVs.

Stay away from this TV
In general the TV fail by quality of picture, connection, streaming or app connection, Usb connection
The quality of picture on screen is always dim. I try to convince myselft that the TV is actualy not bad. But it fail me everytime.
Second- there is no app on smart phone which you can controle your TV. Ofcourse some one can argue that there is a remote control. Yea there is but not enough. Why because we are buying smart tv not a digital tv. We should expect some thing more like an app which u can use to tupe text and send to tv, an app ...Read more
which you can not only turn off but also turn on the tv, an app wich you can share your picture on your smart phone to TV. And sony failed me but my TV panasonic did. Thirdly YouTube streaming from phone to TV. Can never get it work And I hate using the remote control to serch from video I want to see. Lastly, the subtitle - if you have usb connect to sony and watching movies. If younlike an substitle sony fail in doing that. Nomatte how I try. Stay away from Sony. They are so behind when talking about smart TVSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great TV
Picture is good, sound is OK, I like its minimal lines. ample HDMI ports, Youtube is a very good feature.
Paid $1200 on sale from JbHiFi. Looking for a Sony hard disk recorder but can't find one to match, I guess everyone just streams now. I like SONY products. This is no exception.

Great value!!
The picture quality is awesome! Couldn't be happier with this television. The speakers are average though, so I would suggest buying a sound bar for it at the same time. The operating system is awesome, it's the first smart TV I've owned and I found it so easy to set up!

Really good for the price.
I've recently bought this TV when The Good Guys did a clearance for just under $1k. Couldn't be more pleased with what I got. It integrates seamlessly with a PS4 and upscales 1080 pretty well. Used a wired connection instead of WiFi so Netflix and YouTube doesn't buffer. Surprised that you can cast YouTube videos from your android phone straight to it, but won't do for other apps such as Optus Sport.
The only major downside is that it is not an Android TV, I was budget conscious when I made this purchase so decide to not spend the extra $300...Read more
for the next model up the X8000e(?), but either way, I have everything else I need that hooked up and there was a Plex app accessible via Opera. It does take some time to find the perfect setting. Day 3 of owning it and I think I've finally found something I'm happy with.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

great tv
Great tv, high definition works well. Looks good, sits flush against the wall. Excellent interface with netflix, stan and even some of the lesser known apps such as nba tv. Got in on special at bing lee which included free delivery and wall mount. Only regret is not going the 65 incher!

Not so smart tv
The picture quality is excellent, although keep in mind to watch Ultra HD you have to have Netflix (and the 4k option), as you don't get it on free to air.
The problem is that you cannot add apps, only use the supplied ones, that means no Foxtel Now, no Spotify no Amazon music. The only browser is opera which does not work with foxtel now either.
On the sony website when you look at the page for this model tv there is a link for How to videos which takes you to a page with information, including how to add apps, nowhere does it say that this...Read more

Nice TV
We bought it on the Boxing Day sale from Bing Lee. It was a good deal. User-friendly smart TV however sometimes it has issues with YouTube video casting and has to factory reset to make it work. Other than that it’s good. Nice picture quality and clear screen. Overall a good purchase

Excellent color and sound
Sony TV is above other brand in term of quality and duration. We always buy Sony TVs and this particular one is excellent. The price is must cheaper now as people want the new OLED TV. However, you dont have to compare them side by side at home and I happy with the quality.

Good size good TV
Bought one of this to watch at the living room at home. Picture quality is as you could expect for a UHDTV. Within the options, there was a setting you could enable to have a surround-sound option to replicate the experience in a cinema. I tried it out and was unexpectedly surprised that it does give out quite a bit of the surround-sound effect.
A couple of things I'd like to point out. USB capabilities are a bit of a trouble. Media-playback from USB won't be possible unless you format your USB (on a Mac) to be a FAT volume. Took me hours t...Read more
o figure out what was the problem. Also, occasionally the screen would have lines and blacks out a bit. After switching to a different socket, the problem appears a lot less. Other than these, it's a pretty commendable TV for the picture quality, sound and pure size.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent Colour
Bought this TV from Harvey Norman. The sales person was extremely helpful and showed me different brands in the same width. After having looked at a few, decided to go with the Sony Bravia 55". So far, we are very happy with this unit. The connectivity was super easy to set up and the colour is a lot more true than other named brands.

Great large TV
My family is very happy with this television. It has great picture quality for games and movies and its audio system is quite good. My dad uses this TV for karaoke so it has more than enough ports and being a smart television it has easy access to Youtube and Netflix, etc. Overall very impressive!

Well, I stream via my laptop, my laptop has a HDMI output, so I watch anything I want, if it's on the webb. I mainly stream youtube as an app or stream via my laptop.
