Its a complete Con!!
We purchased a Canvass print for a family portrait. The wrong order was sent. Anyway the company wont send the correct order after 3 weeks of emails. Spreets are useless. They just keep sending me "issue resolved" emails.
Nothing, its a con. You get what you pay for!
They have ZERO customer service

I purchased a beauty salon deal through Spreets which included 2 x waxing appointments. I booked these in and then realised I would be out of Perth for my second appointment. I told the salon owner I would need to reschedule my appointment which was three weeks away. She said I couldn't as she had 400 plus people purchase her deal through Spreets. She did offer me some availability in the week that I'll be back from holidays but they were during office hours when I work. I thought that would be cheeky to return from leave and then say I ne...Read more
ed time off to go and get waxed! My voucher doesn't expire until November but she can't do anything else for me. I contacted Spreets and they sent me an email which I think they must just copy and paste from other people that have complained to them. All I can say is be very careful when buying these kinds of vouchers. I'm sure I won't be the only person out of 400 plus people that needs to reschedule and gets told no. The beautician did do a top job and the salon was to a high standard Crap with honouring the voucher. You shouldn't sell 400 plus vouchers if you're unable to honour them allSimilar opinion? Good value, perfect deals!
So surprised with all the bad reviews here. It seems lots of people are complaining about the service of the vendor with whom Spreets is only the middleman providing deals/vouchers on their behalf. Before buying some unknown place's voucher e.g. hairsalon or restaurant, why don't you look up reviews on that business and then buy the spreets voucher.
I have seen Spreets advertise some crappy restaurants but I know they're crappy in the first place as I'll read up on their reviews.
I've bought heaps of spreets vouchers this year for massages, facials, ordered canvas prints, and have been extremely satisfied.
Cheap deals, value for money

Deal not honored, Spreets Customer Service no help
The deal I paid for and went to receive was not honored as advertised, and we (there were multiple people with vouchers there) were treated horribly by the company. Literally, the worse customer service of my life.
The "deal" we did receive, was actually no deal at all because the value was less than what we would have paid to buy it outright. We were told to speak with Spreets if we wanted resolution.
I have emailed them with the story and details, and all they did was forward the email to the company the deal was with... who responded ...Read more
to Spreets and attacked me and my character, made up lies/gross exaggerations about things I said, and never even addressed the very obvious issue that the deal advertised and that I paid for, was not the deal I received. I responded back to Spreets in my own defense... (though why a nice, normal customer should have to defend that they are not a crazy-person to a customer service rep who should be helping them is beyond my understanding of rational business practices)... and now have not heard from Spreets for 10 days. I filed complaint on their forum and also continued to follow up with them by email, but after reading other accounts here on this site, I am very discouraged.Similar opinion? Not really bargains, just a way to get money up front
Be careful as these so called bargains, are not really bargains at all, we bought a deal from a cafe @ 63% off eg paid $29 for a claimed $78 value. The meals were actually smaller than people at the table next to ours. They are basically taking advantage of people looking for a bargain.
Its a good way to get you in the door of the shop, and money up front.
felt a little tricked, no real saving

Don't get these- unless you know it's from a reputable business.
These are pretty bad. Bought a hair and beauty deal with Fusion at North Sydney, service was bad, and they are no longer in business. Bought another one at CocoSpa in Parramatta, which was Ok, but not very professional. Fishing one was Ok once we finally got the booking made, though still waiting for our free rods. The Diamond Cleaning one was a complete dud, trying to get a refund from Spreets now as the company has just disappeared.
I'm avoiding these from now as I think dodgey dealers realise they can get a lot of cash upfront, and then do a rotten job or just close their business. From what I hear Spreets themselves are no help either :(
Generally bad service, trouble making bookings, company disappears...

Misleading advertisement.
I bought a coupon for a drycleaning service in January 2011, tried numerous times to get through to the company to book a time with no success, and the company's number is now no longer active. Contacted Spreets to obtain a refund at May 2011, didn't get a response. Noticed in June that they've closed off my enquiry/request without a response.
I resent my enquiry/request at 24 June, and received a response that it'll take 5-7 days for the enquiry to be attended to. It is now 20 July 2011 and still no response.
This is a good lesson and I will not buy anymore coupons from Spreets again.
Spreets do not check the reliability of the company that they're advertising for, and Spreets response rate is extremely slow.

Total ripoff! They lie!!
Every time they have a special up, go and check the actual place they say you are 'saving' from.
For example - 17th July in Adelaide they state you save 59% for staying at Comfort Inn Haven Marina for $145 instead of $356... but go to the webite for the Comfort Inn, and their HIGHEST room price is $145!
Of course on top of the Spreets price you then have to pay a surcharge..
So, if you are stupid - go with Spreets!
Nothing at all
Prices saving are lies

Spreets is a ripoff
I bought a voucher for a 1 hour Thai massage, but only got 45 minutes. The massage wasn't even very professional. Might as well pay the full price which is usually about $60 per hour.
Also bought a dinner for 2 advertised with a floorshow (Friday night only). When I rang I found that all Friday nights were booked out for Spreets customers. I got the impression that there were still spots for customers who paid the full price. Very embarrasing given that I gave this as a birthday present & promised that there would be a floorshow included.
Same decision as the Thai massage - next time I'll pay full price & get what I'm promised.

Dont trust spreets and the misleading deals this company advertises!
Instead of going into the whole, see email I sent to spreets regarding the $18 for two adult tickets to watch 3d movies at IMAX deal, watch movies such as Kung Fu panda 2 in 3d, harry potter in 3D, transformers in 3d and lots more! I got sucked in and stupidly purchased 3 of them.
Spreets
Hi,
I am very disappointed with spreets after this movie voucher experience.
At first, spreets send promotional emails saying $18 for 2 movie tickets, can be used at IMAX to watch movies such as Kung Fu panda 2 in 3d, harry potter in 3D, transformers i...Read more
n 3d. One would assume that those vouchers can be used for watching these movies at IMAX without additional surcharge, as there was no mention of an additional $8.50 surcharge in the promo email. It is only after I have purchase 3 of these $18 vouchers that spreets send out an email to say that oh, by the way, all those 3D movies that was mentioned in the promo email, there is a surcharge of $8.50 per ticket to watch those movies as per the terms of these cineSaver voucher. I didn't even know I was getting these cinesavers in the first place, I thought spreets had an arrangement with IMAX directly, let alone check the terms and conditions of the cinisavers. Spreets should have mentioned about the surcharge in the promo email when you were making the pitch to customers about the vouchers. I see this as misleading conduct and in breach of trade practices act, I am sure out of the >1000 purchasers of this deal, many would be contacting the department of fair trading and lodging formal complaints, and rightly so. I was eager to receive the tickets, I went and redeemed the vouchers online as soon as i received the spreets electronic voucher. Before I received the 'by the way there is a $8.50 surcharge' email from spreets. I redeemed those tickets from the website alwaysonsale on the 24/6/2011 with order no# CC-52208. Then CC-54169 and CC-54173 on the 28/6/2011. They say you should wait 10 business days (which is way too long anyway considering they're in Australia), it has been now over 10 business days and I am still waiting. Again very disappointing. I tried to contact alwaysonsale by replying to their confirmation of order email, I copied in spreets on the email ( as I see it, it is also spreets problem as long as I have not received what i paid spreets for). I do not receive any confirmation of receipt email from the alwaysonsale website. I went to the website in an attempt to find an email address customers can use for contacting them, there is none. The only way for customers to contact them is a 1300 number, I called that 1300 number on Friday night, was told by a recorded msg to call again between the hours of 9am to 5pm mon to fri, then it hang up, no option of leaving a message for someone to return your call during those hours. Again, I am sure the >1000 spreeters who bought the vouchers did not expect such poor service. So far the only email I have received from spreets is an semi-automatic email to say that if I don't receive the electronic voucher from spreets, these are the steps to take. At the end of the email, spreets deemed my issue to be resolved.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Complete rip off
Spreets will sell a voucher writing in huge letters in the title "Free Delivery!!" then when you try to redeem the voucher from the company they will charge delivery and refer you back to Spreets for any issues. When I contact Spreets they respond with patronizing comments about "reading the fine print". I would never buy a Spreets voucher again. There are better deals out there, don't waste your money.
Blatantly misguides buyers and terrible customer service

Nothing. Only buy something that gets sent out as although slow service, usually less problems

Spreets need to check the business who advertise deals more closely
I will admit that there are some great deals to be found, however I've had a horrible experience with a particular Salon in Harris Park, NSW which I have noticed have a new deal with Spreets. This same Salon in the last month has also had deals with Cudo, Coupons Direct and Our Deal. I feel very sorry for any one who buys todays spreets deal for this salaon as they have no chance of ever getting an appointment and claiming their voucher as the salaon will be booked out for the next 6 months.
As consumers we rely on the agent (Spreets) to chec...Read more

Deals good but customer support is average
The deals on Spreets seem good, but I am hesitant to buy from them again after my purchase. I "bought" a hair cut/style/colour package and was charged for something totally different which wasn't even in my city! I got my money back after several e-mails but they were unable to provide me with the product I had purchased as "the deal has closed".
I am very wary of them now and have not purchased again, preferring to use some of the other daily deals sites.

DONT BE SUCKED IN BY SPREETS "DEALS"
The deals might look good but the old saying of you get what you pay for doesn't even help - I can't even get what I paid for, purchased $49 deal for house clean by Diamond Dry Cleaning, have made MANY attempts to contact them tried to make booking, no luck am now seeking refund. Emailed Spreets no luck there either so have gone through my banks Visa Dispute a Transaction form to obtain a refund for services not provided but paid for to Spreets.
Seems like good deals
Not good deals when you can't get anything you pay for!

Buyer be aware
I have viewed a number of web sites all complaining about the same issues - really bad customer support, no phone number to talk problems over, emails ignored or takes weeks for a reply and when vouchers are sent companies go out of business then refer back to customer support issues!!
Some good bargains to be had
Customer support the worst I have had to deal with - businesses going out of business
