Stihl MS 362 C-M
Luving it very strong, powerful and makes quick and easy work of decent size Piece of log.
I’ve been using this saw for the past 8 months and been fantastic, it has plenty of power and cuts through logs quick and easy. Compared to my smaller saw it’s a awesome. Highly recommend it.

A rugged pro saw that I have flogged for two years. Reliable, durable and easy to start. Gets the job done with plenty of guts for bigger jobs. Being a tree arborist this saw goes to every job.
Purchased in for $1,800.
Purchased this saw 3 years ago. Cut about 6 cords of wood with it. About a week about it wouldn't run. The dealer said it was the fuel cell. That didn't fix the problem so now it needs a new computer. Already the bill is over $250 and who knows if it will be fixed. I always buy Stihl products but no more. Stay away from this saw.
Purchased at Dubay tractor in Conn. for $750.
Stihl once produced dependable quality but sadly that is not the case any longer.
I needed a second saw to run with my old trusty and still cutting fine Stihl MS380. Bought a Stihl MS391 and the muffler just fell off about the 3rd time it was used. It was repaired and then just seized up a couple of weeks later.
Had to argue with the Dealer to honour the warranty as he was trying to find an excuse and pin the blame on my misuse or incorrect fuel mixture. I run Stihl Ultra and have been mixing 2 stroke for well over thirty years with no issues. ...
Purchased for $1,800.

Know better, choose better.
Bought three of the stihl ms 362c I have been using stihl products for a long time professionally. And six months and two are down. Never seen this before. Very unhappy. With this product. Is has cost me time and money.
Purchased in for $650.
Have brought 2 in the past two and a half years. I have been using chainsaws for 17+ years professionally and have never blown any motors until I brought these two - 362-c and 362-cm. I have rebuilt the engines a total of 5 times with the two saws ( and it's not the fuel mixture). Just stuffed the crank on one today. so disappointed sthil your 361 was a good saw but have definantly gone backwards with the new models.

Had the saw for about 2 weeks. Have put 3 tanks of fuel through it so far. It came with a 20" bar with a full chisel chain. So far its a beast. Easy to start, comfortable to use & not too heavy. Supplements my older Stihl 026c which has done very well for the last 10 years+.

If you are cutting dead Australian hardwood you just can't do better than a pro Stihl. The 362C-M (M-Tronic version) is, in my opinion, the sweet spot. Any smaller and you get the lighter gauge .325 chain, and you may want a larger saw down the track. Any bigger and you're talking more weight and power than you really need for most firewood and property maintenance tasks, and you'll soon be eyeing up a smaller saw.
The 362 is the perfect all-rounder if you just want one really decent saw for firewood and the odd fallen tree etc. The air filt...
Read moreer and auto tuning are superb, the weight is comfortable enough to swing around for a couple of hours at a time and there's plenty of grunt for even quite big tasks. My advice would be at the time of purchase, get the dealer to do you a good deal on a 16" bar and chain as well and use that as your main setup. 20" is longer than you need for most tasks, and the shorter bar and reduced weight makes the saw even more comfortable to use. Keep the original bar for bigger wood or as a spare to rescue your main bar if you get it stuck. Personally I love the Stihl flippy caps, they are quick and reliable. I can only assume that the person who broke one must have forgotten it was a bayonet type cap and used a lot of force to try and unscrew it, or perhaps they were really unlucky and got a faulty moulding. I've never heard of them breaking, and there are a lot of Stihl users around here.Questions & Answers
