After baking a loaf of bread or making dough how long before you can use the machine again? I am wanting to make two batches of pizza dough and have been waiting for over an hour to be able to make the second batch.
It should be ready to use straight away. It doesn’t need to cool as it’s only mixed and proved so you should be ready to go again within 5 minutes. I normally press the menu button briefly to make sure the settings haven’t changed and then start
Thanks Beekay I think I need to contact Sunbeam
Not sure what is happening with yours. I can usually bake a second loaf after leaving it cool down for 15 minutes. Just a tip though - are you leaving the lid up or down after you take out the first...
Read more batch ? Obviously if you leave it down it will take longer to cool down. The paddle in the bottom of our Bakehouse doesn't always stay upright and drops before mixing is complete resulting in a loaf that isn't a loaf at all, just an unmixed lump of ingredients. Any suggestions?
Hi John V. Thanks for your question. It's hard to determine the exact issue with baking process from the above info. It's not necessarily an issue with the paddle, as this is programmed to drop at a c...

Is my BM4500 faulty? Whenever I follow the recipes saying to add ingredients to the fruit and nut dispenser (e.g. honey and oat bread p30) those ingredients are just thrown over the bread on one side and they don’t even stick to the top. I thought they were meant to be released earlier so that they would be inside the bread?
Never got that far Lance, I took mine back for a refund 3 loaves and three fails.
Hi Lance, great to see you are getting maximum use from your breadmaker. Prior to putting the fruit in the dispenser rub it through about a tablespoon of flour in a plastic bag to lightly coat the fr...

I'd like to know warming period, knead time, rise time, & bake time and can't find all of that in the manual.
Jenn
Hi Jenn P, the instruction booklet does not list the actual times for all the functions.
All the times vary according to the actual type of bread you are making and therefore listing may not be entirely accurate.
Sorry Jenn P I tried mine three times and took it back for a refund. I now have the Panasonic and success everytime
Can you pause the bread maker during a cycle?
Don’t know Lorraine, I sent mine back for refund after three fails
I have been very happy with my bread maker & make 2 or 3 loaves a week. It is just that I read somewhere you can remove the paddle after the ‘knock down’ before the final rise so you don’t get a big t...

I took mine back for a refund Luisa, out of three loaves I managed to make one that was sort of edible. Flat and heavy but we managed to eat it with soup. By itself I probably wouldn’t have. Getting b...

Is it when the fruit dispenser is emptying is that a good indication?
There’s one of the programs that gives you a chime when it’s time to manually add ingredients. Otherwise use the automatic shute

Read moreidnt here any beeps only the dispenser dispensering.I love my bake house, I tend to use the dough recipe though because the blade doesn’t collapse (not a problem) my problem is that occasionally the blade comes off during the cycle and leaves a horrible grey mark in the dough which if I don’t get it all out looks bad in the loaf. Any suggestions on how to avoid this would be appreciated.
Thanks
Helen
The paddle in mine seems to have a ceramic type of coating so I haven’t experienced any discolouration in my loaves. Maybe consult the manufacturer
Thanks Beekay, I think I will do that, I am getting frustrated with the problem, I tend to go through phases where the blade doesn’t come off during the kneading process so no problem..
Hi Helen, please contact our customer care team on 1300 881 861 and we can supply you with a new blade.
The "Time Delay: instruction on page 7 refer to page 12 but these make no sense at all as steps 7-10 do not appear on page 12. Is there a publication that corrects this error?

I've just used the wheat function (menu selection no. 3) & it doesn't start... just some strange clicking sounds as though it wants to but can't. Is there normally a delay with the wheat function # 3? I've changed it to French setting & it starts right away. All other setting I've used so far also seem to start straight away. No delay to the timing was programmed in so can't be that....

Read moref varying size in the bottom, as the blade ALWAYS sticks laid down in the bread. Sometimes it comes out with the bread, but I believe that's if the dough was too wet. Then it has to be hooked out. If it cooks correctly, the blade stays in the pan. Frankly, I turn the pan over as soon as it's done and shake it as carefully as I can. I also use a flexible spatula around the sides to ease it a few times. If the bread is the right consistency, the blade does stay laid down in the pan and in fact I find it needs to be soaked in water before you can get it out to clean it. I use a bought ready made multi grain bread mix with 600 gm mix and 350 mls water, but it obviously depends what you are using. I am in Queensland, Aus and buy a 5kg bag from Coles. Not much more I can tell you, but like you I am irritated by the blade and the damage to the loaf in that area. People tell me this doesn't happen with the Panasonic, but how that is avoided I have no idea.
