My EM7100 is 4 years old. I now find that water is bypassing the thermo block and filling up the external water tray. (this is my forth Sunbeam machine so am fairly familiar with them)

When using Lavazza pods with this machine I get a good flow then a gush of water that blows critty coffee from the pod into the cup. I go through a number of pods before I get a good cup of coffee. Any suggestions? Please note that I am placing the holder in correctly and pushing the pod into the attachment correctly. Machine Is less than 2 months old

Hello Steve S,
Can I ask are you using the capsule button like the manual recommends on page 13: https://www.sunbeam.com.au/Root/Specifications/InstructionBooklet/EM7100_16EM1%20web%20file.pdf
Yes. I am using Lavazza capsules and make sure that it is properly inserted into the lavazza holder and tightened securely into the machine before pressing the capsule button. I have already swapped machines under warranty and the second machine does the same thing. I am now using the ground coffee side of this machine but really disappointed in the pod operation of this unit.

We have had our machine for nearly 2 years and have never had a problem until today. We put coffee in single basket, pressed the button and coffee came out as normal then it started to splatter everywhere with granules of coffee everywhere..can anyone shed any light on this??

I have a brand new Sunbeam Café Series EM7100 espresso machine (bought yesterday 17-11-18) 'fill tank' is flashing even though the tank is full. Before I take it back, does anybody know a simple solution?

sorry to hear youre having an issue with it Grenfell Tiger. If the tank is located on the machine correctly and you have tried restoring the factory settings without any success then I would call the customer hotline and see what they advise you to try. Don't let this put you off the EM7100, once you get this sorted youll love it.

Can you adjust the amount of coffee from the pod handle like you can with the settings on a Nespresso machine?

Purchased the EM7100 & EM0700 about 6 weeks ago from Myer and has been quite impressed by the duo. I've been using the double shot filter basket with 16g of ground with good results. However, 9 out 10 times the puck is stuck to the group head and I had to do a flush to dislodge it. Anyone had similar issues?
I have less of this problem if I use 18g of ground coffee.

Hi there, I have found the puck does get stuck occasionally but maybe 1 in 10 times. I just use a spoon to dislodge the puck to drop it into our knockout bin.
I haven't thought about it too much but perhaps it's either the level of coffee in the basket, how tight you pull the handle or grind size perhaps?
occasionally this happens to me as well. I think its because the coffee is sitting too high in the basket, tamp harder, a little less dose. It maybe something else all together! :)
