Wish I had this years ago!
I have a KitchenAid stand mixer for about 15 years and it's still going strong but I moved in with my boyfriend and he has a Sunbeam Mixmaster, similar to the one pictured here, I absolutely love it!!! Mine cost several hundred dollars and he said he got his for under $100 maybe even under $50. It's so much lighter, the bowls are easy to clean the sides while it's mixing and the speeds are awesome. My KA throws the ingredients all over the kitchen :( The Sunbeam is stored in our hardest to reach cabinet but easy to lift in and out. I can hardly move my KA. I love to cook and bake and this has made it so much easier. Wish I had found this awesome little secret years ago!

30 Years on......
I know its not this current model, but it still looks the same! Mine is almost 30 years old and still going strong. I even smashed the large bowl recently and picked up a 'new' one from the op-shop :)
I'd like to think one built these days would last just as well, but I hope I don't need to buy a new one for a long time to find out
Reliable

An Extra Hand In The Kitchen
The Sunbeam Mixmaster has made my life easier. I especially like the user friendly features. The locations for which right/left beaters and dough hooks are clearly marked, as is the correct placing for the small or large bowl. No need to wonder which setting to use for biscuits versus meringue, Eleven settings are clearly identified on the side of the stand. I am able to put in the ingredients, turn to the correct setting, and let the Sunbeam Mixmaster do all the work for me, allowing me to multi-task and take care of other household chores.
Reliable, User-Friendly, Easy to Clean, Light, Portable, Time-Saver, Efficient

Excellent
This has been my favourite mixer for years. I love baking and this is all I need for my kitchen to make life a bit easier. It has a really strong motor with an incredible 12 speed settings. With beaters and dough hooks you can make almost anything. It is easy to use and a simple press of the release button enables the mixer to stand up so you can get to the bowl. It is a real time saver and really serves it's function.
Well priced, much loved favourite product for years. Good strong durable motor, mixes even the heaviest dough with ease and has 12 speed settings. It is light and easy to move around, and has a nice large mixing bowl included.
It can be a bit noisy.

Better out there
One beater falls out only when you have it on the fastest setting even though they have been correctly inserted following the picture displayed on the mixer. Doesn't happen on the slower settings - weird. Causes bent beaters - I have had to replaced twice and now its just stopped working so not spending anymore money on it. Bin it goes.
Very loud.
Saving up for a kitchen aid and have gone back to using my trusty 15+ year old hand held one.
Inexpensive, basic to use
Bad warranty service

I live in Brisbane, Australia, and am looking for the turnstile for the base of my MX001 Sunbeam Mixmaster. Would anyone know where I could find this part in Brisbane?

Hi Phill D.,
Thank you for contacting Sunbeam. The only way you may be able to find this is with a vintage spare parts dealer. Try Gumtree or E-Bay. Good luck, Kind Regards Sunbeam.

You should be able to find a replacement bowl at Vinnies or Salvos....they have them all the time

Hi Joy,
Thank you for contacting Sunbeam. This part is no longer available however as Jacqui suggests above - you may be able to find one in a second hand/opportunity shop. Kind Regards Sunbeam
