Sunbeam Mixmaster Series II MX7700
Fantastic easy to use mixer- great value
Did lots of research and found one of these discontinued mixers after seeing reviews online. Use it 3-4 times a week for baking, so easy to use and clean, hardly any scraping needed as the beaters mix bottom and sizes of bowl well. Great value mixer that does the job well. Can also move the mixer around the bench as it is not very heavy. Aerates egg white and batter amazingly.

runs perfectly until base let it down
under the base where bowl rotates, up until yesterday whole mixmaster was running perfectly, now sadly something drastic has occurred in the base as its got black charged like bits coming out of it, the main part is still perfect, It hasnt been used very often which makes it quite worrying,

Wonderful Mixmaster
Solid dough hooks good for effectively mixing bread dough, a most refined, high quality product from Sunbeam. I have now bought two of these, one for me and one for my daughter, both pre-loved and in great condition. I have just found someone with some brand new stock of these. Sunbeam discontinued this model which is sad. Good for making cakes and I haven't tried anything else yet, but I am pleased with it.

Low price but expensive repair
I bought the MX7700 2 years ago at arround $165 and most use is to make dough for asian noodle but not very often. One of the dough hooks not running any more. it could be something a plastic holder worn out. I called Sunbeam service for the cost range of repair or replacement. They will charge me $59 first as Quote Fee and $$$ for replacement or repair. I suppose that will exceed $100 while I can buy a brand new at $119 free shipping from getprice!!!!!!!!!! What's the point?????
machine is Ok just cheap and easy worn-out material
after-sales make more rubbish

Must have kitchen gadget
I placed this mixer on our wedding gift registry a couple of years ago, previously only having a hand held mixer. This gadget is brilliant and I am so glad to have it. It is a kitchen essential and makes baking and general cooking so much easier, being able to put your mix in, turn on the speed you need and continue on with other tasks without having to worry. It mixes well, is easy to clean and has a great sized deep bowl.
Ease of use, reliable, convenient

Great value for money..!
Before buying a stand mixer I actually did lot of homework, I compared a lot of brands and models and read reviews and end up buying this one, I didn’t want to go for a extremely expensive mixer coz Im not a very heavy user. I bought this about 6 months before and I have made cakes and buns with this, It all works fine for me, The problem lot of mixes has is that they does not mix evenly. actually iIdo not have this porblem with this, it mixes evenly specially when making a cake, but i would say if you are making a hard dough then you have to...Read more
give a little support. But still it works fine. Specially with kids it’s had spending lot of time holding the hand mixer, so this is a great product if you need something helpful for your day today baking stuff. Value for money. Good product, So far happy. Made my baking easy. Little noisy, my kid got scared at the beginning :). And bit heavy, but I think if its too light it won’t be steady and will move around.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent
Great mix master. I really want to get the matching one to my Kitchen Aid food processor but I can't justify it when this one works so well. I previously had the old version of this one and got this as a replacement under warranty. I've had it now for about 4 years and it has never let me down. Some others have said they can't do egg whites in it but I don't have a problem with this at all. I make pavlova quite frequently due to many requests and it always works well. Cleans easily in the dishwasher. Has a large range of speeds which makes it very versatile. Would recommend this one - I think it is excellent value for money.
Works really well, I use mine extensively and love it!
Only one I can think of is it doesn't come in other colours!!

Power house of a mixer
Bowl rotates by itself, so you don't have to turn it manually. Makes the best pavlovas (and so it should because its an australian brand). Kneads dough effortlessly. Bought this mixer about 6-7 years ago the exact one and gets used every week for my childrens recess treats. I it gets used weekly also for our pizza night every friday night, were we invite my collegues around and they have crowned me 'pizza queen' because of my delicious pizza dough the machine does and exelent job doing. Thumbs up to sunbeam :)
Inexpensive, powerful
No handle on bowl, but i guess you can't when the bowl rotates, it doesn't realy bother me though :)

Perfect for my baking industry - going strong for 5 years getting used 3-4 times a day everyday.
Ive had this mixmaster for about 5 years getting used evry day. We have three of these and all going strong being used 3-4 times a day, no problems. Then I decided to try a planetary mixer which broke in 3 months so i went for a refund and bought another one of the MX7700's. I have also used it to churn through doubled amounts of bread dough to the equivalent of 12 pizza. These mixing action really aerates the mixture with Hi or Lo bowl speeds. It has litte rubber pad on the bottom of the beater to scrape the bottom. The beaters are also very c...Read more
lose to the side to i rarly need to scrape the bowl. The only problem i had with one of them, well human error, was an aprentice accidently left the metal spoon in there and turned it on and bent the beater. I rang sunbeam and the gladly sent me a new beater FREE even after the warranty expired. Great customer service from sunbeam and an awesome mixer/s Inexpensive, going strong for 5 years getting used 3-4 times a day everyday.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good mixer, poor customer service
Having used this mixer for both mixing cake batter and bread dough I have to say it is excellent at both. One of the whisks did break prematurely, but it wasn't too expensive to replace. My main gripe with Sunbeam was that, in a seperate incident to the broken whisk, the spatular that you get with it became damaged so I wrote to their customer service to ask about getting a replacement, as it was the perfect shape for the mixer bowl. Alas I never received a response to my email which annoyed me lots - I've always understood if companies don'...Read more
t give you the response that you're necessarily after, but to not reply at all is unforgivable in my opinion. This rudeness would probably stop my buying Sunbeam again, despite this product being pretty good. Great at what it says it does. Specifically the dough hooks - take all of the pain out of making bread! Whisk broke relatively quickly, although easy to replace. Customer service dept didn't respond to my query.1 comment

Hand mixer be gone
I have always just used a hand mixer if I needed to do any baking. However, since having children, my baking requirements have increased 1000% fold (birthday cakes, snacks, etc.) - and the hand mixer just wasn't cutting it anymore. Mum was replacing her Sunbeam Series II (as she needed something larger and more commercial), so she kindly handed down the Sunbeam. Now I even use it for packet cakes, it is just so quick and easy.
Makes baking for and with kids a breeze
Nothing that I have discovered so far, except that I haven't found a good storage space...but that is more a fault with my kitchen.

Good
So far so good. I like the fact that I can walk away while it is mixing - something I can't do with my hand-held. Variety of speeds for different jobs.
Heavy machine means that it won't jump around on the bench while in use.
Heavy to lift.

Good
I like this mixer, it is my first bench top style mixer and I wouldn't go back to a hand held variety. I received it as a gift, at first thinking I'd get no use from it, but every time I use it now I think 'how easy'. It gets used maybe 4-5 times a month and have had no major hiccups so far, except that mentioned above. Dough hooks work well too.
Looks good on the bench, does what it's supposed to most of the time. Bowl goes in the dishwasher.
One time I noticed after cooking cupcakes that it had not mixed the ingredients together properly, whereas the previous time, following the exact same method, it mixed perfectly.

Excellent
I really like the bowl reverse action - beaters go one way, bowl spins opposite direction @ same time. The utensils & bowl are all really useful & easy to clean. I was given it as a gift and it is my first mixmaster (i previously used a sunbeam handheld - now the hand held is gathering dust!). I like the quick cupcakes recipe, simple, easy and yummy :)
looks good, works well
It is heavy to move in and out of cupboard every time i use it but i guess that keeps it stable when cooking

Great looking machine, not heaps loud, spinning bowl has high or low bowl speeds, and a very good sized bowl
Haven't found anything i don't like about it yet.

Hello Lanajj08,
You're correct they are not available from us anymore. The Beater model number is MX77101, you can try re-sellers. Sometimes you can fine the part, I can't guarantee you will though.
Sorry I couldn't help anymore then that.
