Went onto a Sunglass Hut shop site offering huge discount on Mauri Jim sunglasses. Looked like a genuine site so ordered 2 pairs at the end of November. They have arrived today and are both very cheap glasses worth $10 each, and nothing like I ordered but in Mauri Jim boxes. Be warned this site is a SCAM......

Terrible customer service. No product.
Been waiting 2 months for sunglasses. Was told they would arrive 10th of Dec. When questioned where they were on the 5th of Jan they said they would contact us back.
Emails and phone calls have been made with no reply.
Christmas present never recieved.

Looks and feels like fake glasses
I ordered on sale 50%off Prada sunglasses. The delivery took a bit long because it was going from China . When it arrived the box and sunglasses had strong smell of cheap plastic. I was very disappointed because it doesn’t look like authentic. Prada logo on the box was scratched and red colour looks different then in Parada store . I don’t recommend to buy here. I was able to do return in store . But I would never buy again in Sunglasses hut!

Just know when you buy.. it is not made in italy..its made in China
Typical Chinese con artist.. sunglasses hut have a licence to manufacture Prada or whatever product they have.. and they make it in China.. not saying they are doing something illegal.. but the product quality is not the same as an original which is made in Italy for real..

Don’t buy from here
Like others on here I got no confirmation email purchasing online. No one answers emails or calls. They have taken the money from my account in November and I still have no glasses and can’t get in contact with anyone. They are supposed to be a Christmas present. This place has no customer service values and have basically taken my money and disappeared.

Do not buy from here - have not received order & no customer support online.
I purchased 2 pairs of sunglasses 6 weeks ago (in store). I collected 1 pair (Rayban's) in store successfully, but had to order the 2nd pair through their in-store online portal (Oakley's). The staff in store were actually really great, no issues there!
The issue is when they send me a notification (about a week after) that the online order has been processed & is shipping, providing me with shipping details from UPS which are INCORRECT (I cannot track properly).
I patiently wait a few days / weeks for the package to arrive, but it never does. ...

Terrible after service care and rude staff
Bought two different styles of Oakley sunglasses at the same time. Just after a year, one sets lenses started to deteriorate really badly. Now, I am super fussy and pedantic with how I look after my glasses. Staff member basically accused me of miss treating them. (Over a year of owning them, no marks, on scratches of any kind for both sets but still she says I neglected them). Plus completely refused to warrant them even though when I bought them I was clearly told how amazing sunglasse hut’s “24 month” warranty was. Never shopping there again.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE
They sold me sunglasses that were on 50% sale with 30% discount and when I returned them, they charged me again instead of refunding! I have been leaving the store manager request to call me back but got nothing, called the general customer service with no response, no response to my emails! and they have basically stolen $585 from me. the in store service was horrific too. just take your money elsewhere not to their shops

Pitiful after service customer care
Out of all the online and in store purchasing I have done in my life the Sunglass Hut would have to have the worst after customer care I have ever come across. I have never done a review in my life but the service is so bad that I feel compelled. I will be telling ever single person I know about what happened to me and advising them to avoid going to the Sunglass Hut at all costs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Worst online and store experience
I ordered a sunglasses online which I got 20% discount to picked up in store (Bourke Street). It says on the website notified that store pickup is ready in 3 hours that I should receive an email. I didn't get an email until 3 hours. They also said I will be notified when the item is ready..I didn't get one so I called to confirm and they ask if I received a text ..I said no..they said it's probably technical issue. Fine! I've asked for replacement and the lady said she will sort it out for me and ask me if I still want to order the correct item...I said yes thinking she will replace it. I was happy that she assisted me to get the right order and I'm happy to come back for it but to my surprise, she ask for payment in full price not discounted...It's only then that she explained that they can't replace or exhange the item from online purchase and that I will received the refund in 7 days. I was to close to buying the correct glasses but I realised no...first it was full price and second, I already wasted my time purchasing online, going to the store and having this terrible experience. I showed them the correct item I selected online and it was there. The item they gave me is not even listed on the website and the marshall 2 tortoiseshell/green was there. But in my order slip it wasn't clear if it describe as tortoiseshell. Anyway...my first buying experience with Sunglass Hut gone bad. I was so frustrated and I know the staff was only doing their job but they lady I talk to was defensive and saying they didn't know that they were given the wrong one. She was willing to take my money for another sunglasses before she explain to me that I am not getting the replacement. As a customer I walk out there empty handed, embarrassed for being frustrated and I have to wait 7 days to get my money back. I can see that problem was the listing on the website. When I bought tortoiseshell...the order slip..it generated the wrong item/colour which causes to staffs to give me the wrong one. Over a month to get a refund
Purchased a pair of sunglasses online. Used the online camera to ensure they fit. Arrived quickly but we're so small they fit my 3 year old (They were for my husband). Returned to store at Woodgrove. I had to chase up my refund for weeks. Head office kept advising it would be paid but they never processed it. Thankfully the manager Julia at Woodgrove chased everything up and had the refund paid. She went above and beyond to resolve the matter. She followed up as she said she would. I didn't need to chase her at all. Her service is second to none. I'll return and only purchase from her in future. I've only rated this highly because of her otherwise I would want to give a 0.

Disgraceful customer care
Absolute worst customer care! Rang 5 times. Each time was on hold for 30 mins and then phone would cut out. Then went through this another 4 times. Sent an email also but nobody responds to this also. Think twice before you buy because if you have an issues they are impossible to speak to.

Prada glasses - asked me to contact Prada through another store
I purchased my Prada sunglasses from Bondi Junction and the glasses come with two years warranty.
A screw went missing in the glasses but glasses are in perfect shape as I haven't been able to wear them since I need to replace the screw.
The store confirmed that my glasses are under warranty but said they couldn't do anything to assist me.
Instead they asked me to contact Prada directly, through another store like OPSM. I purchased my glasses from Sunglass Hut and expect them to resolve it themselves.

Worst service ever
Northland store inside Myer's spent about 1/2 an hour trying on sunglasses 3 team members standing around talking. After picking a pair I liked, couldn't buy them because they had a scratch. So angry and disappointed. Instead of the team talking why are they not checking and taking the damage stock off show. So customers are not wasting time finding something they really like and then can't buy it. So disappointed.

Beware: I hope this doesn’t happen to you.
I purchased a pair of on sale glasses on the website. It stated same day click and collect. I paid in full and went in two days later on a Friday as I needed them for the weekend.
When I got to the high point store I was met with an extremely rude assistant, who told me I didn’t read the email and they were in transit from China. I said I only wanted them if I could get them this weekend.
I asked if I could get them from in store, he explained they didn’t have that style. (Which I saw they in fact did)

Worst customer service
I've bought so many times from SGH in the past and I've never had problem with the orders. I did once exchange a piece in store and although it took some time, at the end it wasnt a hassle. A month ago I returned a Persol I bought online for refund because of the size. I haven't received any form of communication from the then apart from the return label. Tried reaching them by email no replies in over two weeks. Calls, dont even bother. I waited 10 mins on three separate occassions only to be sent to voicemail which I obliged and recorded a message. No replies yet. Its really disappointing to see such a lack of professional demeanor from such a good company otherwise.

Poor customer service no response regarding onlinereturns
I bought sunglasses in September and returned the sunglasses on oct 5th as they have sent wrong colour. The return status online is showing as IN PROGRESS for 5 weeks. Tried calling customer service almost a week, left voice message and sent email no response. Don’t know how to get my refund back.

Ordered a pair of oakleys yesterday didnt recieve a order confirmation email. Seen another pair i like this morning purchased them aswell but recieved a order confirmation email and order number. Absolutely no support - Not possible to reach them
Bought sunglasses, DHL shipping says they are delivered but I haven't received them. Tried to reach the customer service over a week on phone and emails. They don't even bother to respond to emails and voice messages.

Shipped from overseas and no response from customer service
You do not really need to read this review. A rating of 2.1 should be enough to inform you that this will not be a good experience.
When you order these sunglasses you think you are on an Australian site and that they will come from stock in Australia. I only found out when DHL sent me tracking from overseas. I received no reply from customercare@sunglasshut and the 1800 number operates 4 hours a day.

Not impressed.
Well, experience was pretty goodn't: I've ordered delivery, got tracking number, parcel was shipped via DHL from china and after 8 days of waiting it landed apparently in Sunglass Hut Melton store.
I'm not against fine people in Melton store, it's just Melton with its store is about 80km from me and that's like extra 3h and 50$ in fuel. At the very best due to some semi-possible miracle I'll get my stuff exactly 11 days after. Somehow I feel there won't be any miracle.

Absolutely ripped off..
Purchased a pair of Oakley sunglasses and assumed they would of been shipped from Australia. To my surprise they were sent from China. Shocking quality totally ripped off. Sunglass hut sell fakes. Absolutely disgusted.

Zero Customer Service and delivery time over a month
Luxottica Retail Australia (Sunglass Hut/Oakley) use Toll for their logistics. Toll currently rank last in Customer Service and Delivery expectations.
Thats a good match for Luxottica, as their Customer Service was almost non existent.

One item arrived from OS in a couple of days via DHL, yet I had to lodge a missing parcel for the item shipped with Toll. One Toll parcel disappeared for 6 weeks, assumed lost before turning up unexpectedly. Knowing this, I gave it two weeks before attempting to contact Sunglass Hut. No one answered the phone, and the voicemail was full. I contacted Toll and they advised the item was coming from OS and not Melbourne as per their tracking. Toll did keep me updated but their updates were "we still dont know where it is, so we will update you in 48hrs when we still have no idea". Thats still more than Sunglass Hut. After 4 weeks, I reached out to Sunglass Hut via Facebook messenger. There was no response for two days so I advised them I will lodge a paypal dispute. Hey presto, some action.
