What k’s can a Suzuki swift 2007 can get up to before it stops running?
3 answers
I’ve only done 67 thousand k’s in mine. It still goes like a dream. I’ve not had any problems with it over the last 10 years.
Over 300k, I've seen at 250k and still fine
My hubby just surprised me with a 2018 navigator but I still have my 2006 Z Series, which just turned over 300,000kms. These cars go and go, if they’re maintained well.

My 2012 Suzuki swifts fuel range is suddenly displaying dashed lines rather than the how many km is left for fuel...
How can this be fixed???
2 answers
I personally think it could be fixed, try looking up this problem in your user manual. If there is no answer in the manual I would go to the dealership and talk to them about it. They would know about these problems.
Turn on the ignition and press the trip button a few times to select the fuel information that you need. Directions are in the handbook for the various functions.

I have had my 2013 basic Swift since 2014, totally love it except for the small boot space. My question is, can I run it on 91 unleaded petrol I stead of 95? I am a pensioner watching my pennies.......
1 answer
I would and do. Just make sure you just get 91 unleaded without ethanol added. I do 3 tanks 91 then 4th tank 95.

I have a 2014 Suzuki Swift Gl Navigator. The right and left mounted steering stereo controls will not work to go to your next or go back to your previous radio preset station rendering it almost useless. Does anyone know how to fix that? Suzuki dealership tells me Suzuki Australia knows and that's why they stopped using garmin in newer swifts right after mine. Is there a way to fix the stereo mounted control to work properly like it was advertised to/like the book says it should. Or can I have the garmin unit pulled out and replaced with a different system? Is that a possibility to rip the entire system out so i never have to deal with garmin and just have a better system installed.

I got a replacement from a salvage yard and replaced it myself. Let me know how you went/go.

You may need the electronic fuel injection system or the engine management computer looked at. Take it to Suzuki or a reputable mechanic where they can hook it up to an OBD reader and analyse what is going on.
thanks for your valuable feedback,
one more query is if i run my car same condition, is there any problem.

Hi, i got a suzuki swift 2015 and the check engine stay on for one day and then disappear. What should i do in this case?
1 answer
Give these suggestions a go, courtesy of Kate Daily from AxelAddict. If it hasn't come back on after it went off I wouldn't be too worried. If it continues to come on intermittently it could be an electrical or mechanical problem which would probably need an OBD reader to check for problems. A mechanic could help you there.
1. Drive Your Car and Let the Light Go Off by Itself
The first and easiest method for clearing the check engine light is driving and time. Most onboard computers will recheck whatever problem caused the check engine light to activate multiple times. Drive your car as you normally would. If the check engine light is still on after three days, your problem may not have been fixed or you may need to try some of the methods below to reset it.
2. Turn Car On and Off Three Times
Some vehicles will automatically reset the trouble codes that caused the initial error after the vehicle is turned on and off three times in succession. To do this, insert your key into the ignition, turn the vehicle on for about a second, and then off for about a second. Repeat this two more times then drive the car as normal. Check to see if the check engine light reset.
3. Disconnect and Reconnect the Battery
You will need a wrench. Prop open the hood and use the wrench to disconnect the positive power cable to the vehicle battery. Leave the battery disconnected for at least 15 minutes. Then put your key into the ignition and turn it three times to the “ON” position. This will clear the emissions data from the vehicle memory as well as the readiness flag data.
Reconnect the positive battery cable and turn the key in the vehicle ignition. Wait one minute and the check engine light error should be gone.

I have a 2008 Suzuki swift and the back of the car would drag when someone is seating in the back. The back of the car would drag over speed bumps or anywhere I drive. Plz help
2 answers
It's a small car with only a certain amount of suspension travel. When you have people in the back the weight makes the back of the car run closer to the ground. There's a good chance that what you are hearing as you go over speed bumps is your mud flaps should you have them. If you don't have mud flaps have a quick look under the rear of the car to see if there may be a handbrake wire or something that may be scraping. Cars are designed so that body panels shouldn't hit the ground unless the suspension has been lowered and I can't see that being an issue in your case.
Oh, one other thing, check that the muffler isn't scraping the ground. If it is hanging in place by thick rubber bands, sometimes they break or fall off and the exhaust pipe/ muffler can drop low enough to scrape under certain conditions

Hi, I've got a suzuki swift sports 2012, just got the battery changed and now my fuel range reading is way way off, usually reads 550 when I got my car fueled up, But now it's reading 370, what should I do to fix it?
1 answer
Hi.I haven't replaced my battery yet so I don't know how to get the fuel range working correctly.Replacing the battery on any car is a normal thing to do.I would check the Owners Manual to see if there is some kind of way of resetting the fuel range to work correctly again. If not,I would only take it to any Suzuki dealership where they will know exactly what to do and I doubt very much they will charge you.I'm sorry I could not be of more assistance as like I said I haven't replaced my battery.
