Completely ineffective
Caught a small mouse in a box. Emptied an entire sachet of this poison into the box. 3 days later, mouse has eaten its weight's worth of poison pellets. The mouse is still alive. Can only imagine what it would be like to be trapped in a cell eating nothing but ineffective poison for 3 days straight. This has been quite an upsetting experience for me. Also, the box leaks poison powder every time you put it down (but at least we know it doesn't work so that's not too worrying).

Rats love it - shame it doesn't kill them.
Thanks to the selfish backyard poultry breeder next door, my shed and car engine has been overrun with a huge number of rats. There are rat droppings everywhere and so far they've made three nests under the car bonnet. For over a week I've been buying Talon pellet trays and I expected that by now there would be less rats eating the stuff. However they are eating more of it than ever. Last night they munched through seven trays of it. This is getting ridiculously expensive. From reading other reviews, it's clear that this product doesn't work very well, if at all. Unfortunately the rats won't even touch Ratsak pellets, so I'll have to find a product which is effective.

Great if you want well-fed rats. One (good) Feed indeed!
Wish I could give a negative score. Have exclusively used Ratsak brand wax blocks to date (which worked every time), but couldn't find any in the store so in desperation bought these.
I only have a very small home, so went through the attic laying these (couldn't see the rats but they were so loud gnawing they sounded like jackhammers! Ultrasonic pest deterrant was useless). After two weeks, could still hear the rats. Went back up - all four baits were gone.
Don't waste your money
Rats still running around and staring me in the face 7 days after havimg taken the bait not recommended at all and a waste of money. Still looking for better option.

I opened fresh box and laid it where pack of 3 rats come every evening. Watched it all through the window. Not the sniff. Not very happy with it. Clean sweep by criminals from Talon, Yates, whoever makes an sells it.

But nothing happened, i waited for days, a week and finally gave up hope.

Wish it worked
Unfortunately for some reason mice didn't eat this product, I moved most food products that mice could eat thru but still didn't eat mice bait, really can't understand why.
Oh well damn!

Can rats become immune to Talon poison?
As I own horses, rats turn up periodically in my feed shed. When I first used these pellets that has splashed across the front of the box "one feed" and sure enough the rats died. However, now they have a great feed and keep coming back for more. I see they are eating it as the scat is blue. If I forget to put it out, they raid the box and chew a hole through the box to access the pellets. I don't think it is doing a very good job anymore.

Mischief of Mice
Upon returning from a 5 week holiday I discovered a mischief of mice had made their nest in my garage, among cardboard storage boxes, and I could hear them scurrying around in the ceiling. This infestation was due to a food source they found in the garage; a box of pasta was left out. (Perhaps the mice were auditioning for a sequel Ratatouille movie?)
I used Selleys TALON Rat & Mouse Killer as directed, placed the 25gm boxes in the roof and garage, forewarned those neighbours who had pets and within a few days they were found DEAD, away from...
Read more the nest! Even when the food supply was removed these mice still had an appetite to eat this bait. ALL cautionary information regarding this bait is printed on each individual box for your reading. There is also a note to Physicians and Vets on the package. For those with a food source of bulk dog or chook food stored in their sheds as my good neighbours have, I recommend this product to reduce your mice problem. Taking too long
I have used one box of pellets. Every morning there is more eaten. I thought that if I put mouse poison out, the mouse would be gone within a day or two. It's now almost a week and it's still around.
Not great
I have brought the pallets, 3 packets....... i put them around the house, around 9 boxes i open them up and left pellets at the entrance... when i went to check on them the next day most of those 9 boxes were gone. I put more out to replace them. those went i used the rest up as it seems these guys were hungry for them. all 18 packets went within the week. However, i noticed there are more mice droppings around (after i cleaning the house). i went to buy some more used them still seeing this 1 mice and droppings.

Slack attack by me not a good idea.
Have noticed rats on evening time running along top of fence again. On checking my bait stations 4 out of 5 were empty, so have recharged them again and I am sure if I have the same results as before with Talon the rats will soon be gone again. Vic L

Proven rat killer
We've been using this product for many years and have found it to be the most effective rat/mouse baits on the market. I would recommend you using containers to put the pellets in which are then nailed to floor joints etc so the rats cannot knock the pellets down where domestic pets can eat them. We prefer the pellets but have used talons other products. Quick, effective and always reliable. Watch out for smelly dead rats though - they like to hide in difficult to reach places. Better a dead rat than a live one!
It really works.
Bit expensive but does the job.
