I can’t find the cleaning instructions - how do I clean inside the lid where the steam might collect ?

The cleaning instructions are in the manual. You remove the entire seal and floating aluminium section from the lid and that gives access to the steam vent out of the lid that can also be removed and cleaned.
Look at page 3, it is full of diagrams. If you look at step 3 it will provide you with the guidance you need.
If you need the manual it can be downloaded from the Tefal web site.

Does anyone have the same issues as me with the slow cooker mode?

There seems to be no control of the heat in this function, it seems to be stuck on High.

If you attempt to slow cook anything on high for 4 hours you will burn everything you attempt to cook.

I think this product should be called a 9 in 1 as the slow cooker is a waste of time (or am I missing something).

it says its automatic, must admit i have not tried it yet but watch this space as i i am planning next to cook Basmati - long grain rice in it and will update.

I generally use it to cook any leafy vegetables, Vegetables / meat with curry that require browning of onions and dry frying Masala's using browning facility and the thing i like most is non Sticking and easy washing.

A great steamer, I use for my yum cha dumplings, pork buns etc, don’t eat congee so haven’t tried.i I don’t see why not. Water boils very quickly.
For rice I give 10/10, always perfect, the best rice cooker I have ever used.

This unit steams anything. I use it for veg most days. As for congee, I’ve never tried but it works for soups, stews, casseroles and of corse porridge so I reckon congee would be a breeze.

Yes I used it to cook congee but on the soup button
