Not great if you have a furry dog
I was looking at this or the Wertheim Evolution or Dyson Animal.
I picked this as it is self propelled and I did not have to hold the power button like on the Dyson and it was cheaper than the Wertheim and Dyson.
However I hate how the canister empties.
I have a furry dog that his hair makes a mess and the way you take the canister off to clean it is very messy compared to my other Hoover stick (which the canister is like the Dyson)
I would not recommend this if you have animals.
I am now looking for a new stick and not sure which one to get. I like the stick as I can keep it out to vacuum up his hair, which is everyday.
Purchased in November 2021 at Godfreys for $499.00.

Great suction, absolutely terrible battery life
I bought this from Godfreys Hornsby Westfield in June 2022. It has excellent suction on the boost but the battery life is incredibly bad. I charged it all night last night and got about 3 minutes vacuuming on boost. I charged it for another 5 hours and maybe got 4 minutes on boost. For $599, this is incredibly bad value. In reading other reviews, it seems this is a common challenge. Don't buy unless you are planning to vacuum a 3 metre by 3 metre section of carpet every month or so (and if you are, buy something cheaper)

t think its worth my while taking it back into the store. Additionally, we are all under a fair degree of COVID lock down and I am almost certain the store is not open at the moment. Two other things: 1) Its an utter nonsense that $600 gets you three minutes of battery life. If this is a "convenience machines only, designed for quick pick ups between using your main vacuum" then it should cost $50 not $600. Even then I would expect a longer battery life. In no way was my expectation that for $600 I would also need to purchase another vacuum cleaner. $600 is more than enough money for a primary vacuum cleaner. I'm not unreasonable, I don't expect this vacuum should have a battery life of 2 hours for example. But it should be well in excess of 3 minutes.Godfrey G.Hoover

Buyer Beware!!
This was a replacement vacuum from Hoover. Condition of replacement was there is no warranty on vacuum. I thought I would get longer use than one month. When it work it was good. Easy to use and clean. Battery lasted 20 minutes approx. Good on carpet and hard floors. Now it is useless. I do not recommend this at all. Completely disappointed and I will not recommend any Hoover stick vacuum cleaners. Very disappointed that I had to give this review. Buyer beware!!

Would give it zero if that was an option
I purchased because I liked the self propelling feature/fact that its cord free/how light the vaccum was, but the reality is that the suction is terrible and it picks nothing up. I could pull the whole vaccum apart, empty and clean each compartment and the rollers each time I vaccumed and it would still make little difference. The battery time was not great either. In turbo mode it would often cut out after 2-3 minutes (sometimes less) after being fully charged. I returned it to Godfreys because I was having this issue - also complaining about ...Read more
the lousy suction. They gave it back to me a few weeks later saying there was nothing wrong with it. I continued to have the same issues so have just purchased a new vaccum less than a year later. It cost less than half the price and does 100x better job. Would never buy this brand again or shop at Godfreys. The funny thing is that I had a Kmart $29 stick vac before this one, and the suction was on par. Battery life was better in the Kmart vaccum. Crazy when you think that this one was 18x the price!Purchased in March 2021 at Godfreys Physical Stores for $600.00.

Great suction for price
I honestly think this has great bang for buck. The runtime has been realistically portrayed and not misleading . 25 mins to 30 mins on low power is all I need and that boost mode is amazing for 10 minutes . Great box of accessories too !

Hover vortex pro... Crap vacuum
Doesn't work as described with anything or even pet hair
Battery life is not good got told we could do whole house..
Doesn't suck up anything
Crap design as you empty filter stuff goes everywere.
Has had this for not even a year. Really bad battery time can't even do a 3 bedroom house with hardfloors. Rang up Godfrey's got it in for inspection they said nothing wrong. Have changed filters it's always cleaned out each use and it's still crap. Won't suck anything up not even a bit of dog fur. Kmart $29 vacuums are better. We will never buy one like this again. We will never buy from Godfrey's again. It's just all round a crap vacuum for how much they charge for it. Don't bother.Paid $700
Purchased in March 2021 at Godfreys for $700.00.

Bring back the broom!
Blocks up constantly where the narrow tube joins the canister. Blocks up in other places also: the power head; where the power head joins the narrow tube; in the first canister; in the second canister. Is this a joke design?
To unblock it you need: at least half a hour, a screwdriver, a change of clothes, somewhere to wash your hands, a bent coathanger and a dustpan and brush.
To empty it you need: most of the above, plus an ability to do 3D jigsaw puzzles.
Battery doesn’t last very long.
Cannot run it with power head off, so on hard floors items get pushed away..
Has poor suction.
Very light and easy to manoeuvre.
Purchased in August 2021 at Godfreys for $599.00.

Waste of money, should have brought a Dyson.
Constantly clogging, the hose has spit in two areas, it's a year old! Flicks dirt out everywhere making a bigger mess. Wiring is coming loose, so only charges when you get it on the charging dock in the right spot. Irritating to empty both the collection bins! The main one ends up just spilling dust and dirt all over my had and the head of the vaccum. Complete waste of money. For 600 dollars I could have brought a Dyson like I intended to but the sales rep conned me into this one. Liar and a shark!

Frustrating, messy and not worth the $599
I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing the vortex pro, I was showed it sucking up all sorts in the shop and was sold. Fast forward 6 months and its been back to have a new foot and currently back at the shop to sort out the battery.... 7 mins run time on low is ridiculous to vacuum a 4 bedroom house with 2 kids, 2 dogs and 2 cats!!....and dont even get me started on the blocked tubes, i am over un clogging the dam thing every few minutes, its frustrating, messy and not worth the $599 I paid.

The worst Vacuum Cleaner I have purchased
We purchased this Vacuum cleaner off a retailer who is a very prominent retailer in the vacuum space that does not sell Dyson... mmmm I wonder who that is.
We were told that it rivals the Dyson at half the cost!
How wrong they were....it doesn't even come close!
Continually clogs up and half the time you spend pulling the crap out of the multiple pipes and filters.
Really bad design....think twice about buying one, and don't get sucked into buying one like we did.
Apart from never buying anything else but a Dyson, we will never step foot into one of those stores again and we will tell all our friends and family to do the same.
No one likes being lied to, and in particular doesn't like being ripped off.

Poorly designed with no power.
First time purchasing a Hoover. I was advised this product rivals Dyson products however, I was extremely disappointed. The suction has no power and the pipes (tubes) are too narrow to suck up reasonable amounts of dust. I've had to constantly unclog and clear the vacuum frequently to be able to use it. I do not recommend people spending +$500 for a product like this. I've emailed Hoover for assistance however, I haven't received a response yet.

DON'T BUY
I purchased the Hoover Vortex Pro about 6 months ago, initially it was fantastic, great suction but very soon I realised that after every time I vaccummed I would have to pull the whole thing apart and unblock dust from it, now a few months down the track it has lost suction completely - I have cleaned it thoroughly, done everything I can and it just doesn't work, blocks every time I unblock it...worst purchase and expensive. I had a Dyson for at least 15 years without a problem until I broke a part and couldn't replace it. I decided on a cordless upright - my advice - don't buy one of these get a Dyson :(

My up grade from the FreeJet 3in1
Well my freejet is on it's last legs so we went looking for a replacement and found this vortex pro at Godfreys. Before deciding on this unit we were given demos on other stick vacs that we didn't really like, and this unit was a little expensive for what it did, so we said no we'll leave it for now. Well that kicked the salesman into gear and started to haggle into buying one just as that was getting a little overpowering, into the store walks a Hoover Rep who of course pushed the sales even more, then he walks out the back and comes back with...Read more
a slightly used one that was in a plastic bag with all the attachments ever and said $399 and its' yours $200 less than the one on the floor so yep took it. This unit as stated by others has 2 usable battery times which is fine as you don't use turbo much, no need to as the normal does a magnificent job on it's own, and talk about picking up what ever is in its' wake is incredible to say the least. The ease of using this unit is very comfortable as most of the weight is in the lower part, not like some others that has the power unit at the top of the handle. Cleaning it after uses is a must, which is fine because it picks so much up, just that you have to be careful and be close to the bin as it is a little awkward, but you get use to doing it. The attachments are more than ample and some will probably not get used. One thing that this unit has is all its' detachable and replaceable parts, which to me is a plus, so if the battery decides to pack it in ( which I doubt will be for quite some time) it to can be replaced thereby one doesn't have to go out and by a replacement vac. So all in all very pleased with this Hoover unit so far, in the time that I have had it (4 mths) hence the 4 star rating.Purchased in April 2021 at Godfreys for $399.00.

Short battery life spoils great little cleaner
Update: having owned this cleaner for 6 months I have found the battery to be shortening in its vac time. Today I vacuumed 4 carpeted rooms on turbo and 2 tiled rooms on normal power. Disappointed as otherwise still a great little cleaner but now I vacuum over two days. Hoover really should sell it with a spare battery as part of the price. I have not had any issues with hose blockages but being so effective in its clean means the dirt receptacle does fill quickly. Long hair is easy to cut from the rollers as they have gaps to cut along. Still...Read more
very effective with dog hair, dust and the dirt you didn't even realise was there! This Hoover stick vacuum is effective on tiles and carpet. It picks up dog hair nicely, we have a cavalier. It picks up larger particles well and the amount of dust it removes is astounding. It comes with a lot accessories and they are handy for car, bed, tall cupboards. The battery has a fairly short run time as do all stick vacuums. If I use it on normal power for the tiled areas and use the turbo for the carpets, I can do the whole 4 bedroom house. Which has carpet in all bedrooms and lounge room. The dust receptacle is fairly small but it compacts the dust and empties easily. It has a second receptacle for dust when used as a hand held vacuum. Sadly it does not have a light on the front bar. We bought this model because it has the weight down near the floor and the battery can be replaced when it dies. You can buy a second battery for it too. It's easy to set the vacuum in the charging dock and holds its charge well once charged, so it can be turned off once charged and left til you next need it. Godfreys do great demos and offer a trade in too.Purchased in June 2021 at Godfreys Physical Stores.

Short battery life
When I bought the Hoover Vortex Pro from Godfreys in Westfield Parramatta, the sales guy did not tell me that the battery lasts only 9 minutes on high and 28 minutes on low and I need to charge it again for 4 hours. There is not enough battery life to vacuum a whole house. When I called the customer service they ask me to bring it back to the shop and the sales guy try to get me to upgrade it to a very expensive one! The service is crap.

Don't buy: Easily blocked and a nightmare to clean
My Vortex Pro got blocked from the first day - unable to deal with simple dust from 2 rugs. All the dirt got stuck at the hose elbow and in its other internal nooks and crannies. It was a nightmare to clean - the staff member using fine pointed scissors and a Wertheim vacuum. Godfreys refused to refund my money and blamed me for its failings!

Average performance - Hoover Vortex Pro Handstick
I purchased the Hoover Vortex Pro Handstick from Godfrey's in Dubbo in March 2022.The sales consultant was friendly and took time to explain to me the difference between the models until I decided on the Hoover Vortex Pro, as it was cordless, long battery life and could go across both carpet and hardwood floors without changing heads. Plus, when they demonstrated in store, it did appear to pick up quite a lot of debris and I like the additional accessories for upholstery cleaning etc.
For the first month it worked well and I was loving how quic...Read more

Dont buy save your money, started good. But once blocked need to take apart, the feeds in hoses are small and small particles can easily get block, finding carpet getting into suck in as well.
