Area manager was abusive
I purchased a bissell crosswave pet from the narellan store and was told it was brand new in box as the box looked old. Opened it when I got home to see it was previously been used and was still caked in grime and old smelly water. Returned it for refund and was told to come back another day as the manager only approves refunds. So I go out and have a look around for an hour at the shops to get back to the store to find they have closed the store an hour early and all the lights are off. office complaints department to get a straight answer to have them say the manager will call me tomorrow and help me out. Tomorrow came no call. I called the Tuesday to head office and they said they will escalate it to someone higher The area manager ANDY rings me and from the start of the conversation he was defensive and rude and wouldn’t let me talk and by end of conversation he turns around and says he will not refund the machine as i was told by zeljko who sold it to me that it was a ex demo and they don’t have refund policy’s for ex demos Why would I pay $449 for a ex demo when the new one is same price
Hoover Vibrabrush - only worked once.
Took our Vibrabrush shampooer back to Godfrey's after 9 days. Only got to use it once and then the Vibra brush seized up.
After only having it 9 days i expected an exchange. Nope. Godfrey's have to send it to their repair center for evaluation. Up to 2 weeks. Great when you have family coming and you want your carpets clean. Should have bought it from another Retailer who offers exchange for faulty units. This will be a major consideration for future purchases.

Customer service Hoover React
We purchased a Hoover React for $650.00 and have had quite a few issues with it. I have written another product review which highlighted my frustration with not only the product but customer service.
After speaking to Shannon on the phone, she was very easy going and offered her assistance with products if needed.
I would suggest calling if you have any issues and not dealing with it through email.
Shannon was lovely to deal with. Our problem has been resolved since the first initial review.
It’s 4 stars and not 5, because I feel Godfrey’s needs more stores and less franchises. The franchises seem to stock a larger variety and we can’t use vouchers at franchises.
Just got home from Godfreys Mt Gravatt, and am compelled to write this review immediately. A very big thank you to Belinda and Michael for removing my daughter’s firmly lodged headphones from my Dyson brush bar / cleaner head. They would not accept any money that I offered for this immediate repair, and even provided me with unsolicited important routine maintenance advice. Good people - the world needs more of them!
Great Service from David and Michael at Mt Gravatt QLD
So impressed with the level of service I received at the store, from calling the store and speaking with Michael whom gave me options to bring my Hoover into the store for them to look at, to having David, solve my issue and clean and replace my filter and now my hoover is working 100 percent again. Thank you David and Michael for the great service. Just amazing David, it only cost me $29.00 to fix my Hoover.

Super helpful guy in the Camberwell store showed me how to make my Dyson vaccuum Cleaner more powerful again. Quick, polite and effective - I now have a vaccuum that feels like new.

Hoover Paws & Claws Vacuum
I was in the market for a new Vacuum and I decided on a Miele, next morning I had an email which was forwarded by a girlfriend which was a Godfreys sale catalogue and on the first page there was a Hoover Paws & Claws vacuum advertised for $99 with free delivery so I took that as an omen and went online and bought it, it was delivered the next day (I'm in the Country) and it is the best Vacuum i've ever had, I love it, it's that powerful it picks up everything with ease. Great prompt service and great product, Thank you!
Went to Godfreys to buy another pack vac vac and was talked into the more expensive Pullman, I didnt want it but he was pushy, its bulky, straps uncomfortable, cord gets tangled, after a few hours my neck, shoulders and Back were extremely sore, waste of $, used it once, he also sold me the mega gulper tool and it doesnt even fit the vac, was told to buy 5 lt halo as its better than the spray bottle - um isnt it the same product ?
We were sold a vacuum cleaner after being convinced by a Godfreys sales staff member that it was the best by far. A $550 Hoover Air Stick Pro. She told us all the other vacuums in the range we were looking at were nothing compared to the Hoover. I'm assuming Hoover had some deal going with Godfreys because that vacuum was an absolute piece of trash and the biggest waste of money. After being very disappointed with the vacuums performance we looked up reviews for the product and it was THE WORST rated vacuum out of all the stock they had, yet th...e staff member swore to us it would out perform all of them. What made me even more annoyed was that almost all the unhappy costumers like myself were convinced by a Godfreys staff member all around the country. I'll never shop at Godfreys again, they clearly only want your money, and are not concerned with telling you the truth about their products. After almost a year of using the piece of trash I went elsewhere and bought from a different supplier that was much more transparent, and we are now happy with our new purchase.
GODFREYS HEAD OFFICE
I just called Godfrey's H/O on 1800 815 270 and spoke with "MEZ" trying to get replacement parts for my broken Electrolux vacuum cleaner that is still under warranty.
Not only did "Mez" speak constantly over the top of me, she then refused to respond when I asked for her name.
When "Mez" was not speaking over me, I told her I could not deal with her poor attitude and I requested to speak with a supervisor, as I felt I was getting nowhere with her.
Even after I had made this request, several times, "Mez" still continued to take charge of the ...conversation, acting like a spoilt, rude little brat. In her rambling, she even claimed that I was the one yelling and screaming at her, while all she was doing was simply asking for my name, so that she could better assist me.
Crap service and sub standard machines
I paid over $800 for a vacuum cleaner that stopped working after 10 months of minimal use - I asked for a replacement of new for old and was told NO - we will have it repaired for you. still waiting after 4 weeks to get me machine back, they tell me every week at Epping store it will be here on Monday, still waiting. Now they say I need a new part to a 10 month old machine and they are waiting for it to arrive... Well if the machine stops working after 10 months, then in my book it is a faulty machine and no amount of new parts will fix the p...roblem. I have requested 4 times for a replacement and been told no - The service by the staff is shocking and even when I placed calls to Head Office, I was given the run around. Buyer beware - cheap and nasty products and company.

Poor Service and lying staff
We were told by a new staff member we had a 15 day in-house trial to use our vacuum. We brought it back on the 11th day as it was not suitable and didn't do what the new sales person said it would. They are now refusing to honor the 15 days as it is actually 10. The sales staff gave us the wrong information. We now have a $750 vacuum that we do not use because it is not suitable for out carpet and cannot get a refund to go and buy the vacuum we want. Terrible customer service.
Brought ourselves a Hoover steam mop.
Was told this type was THE BEST. First time great, second time terrible. Streaks. Soapy floors. Minimal steam.
I basically forgot about it in the cupboard.
Took it back to the store told them our issue suddenly, they sell them all the time so they cant help me. They send it for a service, not sure what they serviced and it looked exactly the same as when we left it. Again, first time using it again, not bad. Second... terrible!!!!
What a waste of money. A traditional mop on a stick does a better job.
Appalling Sales Practices
Sold me a second hand steamer. It had filthy pads and still had water inside. The water contained rust it had been sitting there so long, which also suggests the steamer is pretty low quality. Packaging was all just jammed in the box rather than protecting the machine.
Returned to the store within 20 mins of purchase where they argued it was tested in the factory hence the water in the reserve, the pads are clean, and the box had never been opened. I asked him to replace it or refund, all he would do is give me replacement pads.
Because I'm a...pushover and don't believe in doing the wrong thing by people, I accepted my fate and took the pack of pads to find one was missing, and that it wasn't a pack of three but a pack of two in the first place. I've purchased several devices since, and haven't even entertained Godfreys. Well done, you lost a customer by palming off second hand goods. A company which knowing sells you second hand items is not worth your time or effort. There is nothing they can do to remedy the situation, selling second hand goods is fraud.
Amazing customer service at Auburn
I visited the Auburn store and was greeted by Alex who was extremely helpful and knowledgable about the different types of vacuums available for purchase. He could tell the first few low range vacuum cleaners were not cutting it for me, then showed me the Vorwerk range and I was hooked. I was amazed by how quiet the VK200 (upright vacuum) was and thoroughly enjoyed the demonstration of all its features and attachments. Alex could also tell I had taken an interest in the robot vacuums on display and did a demonstration of the VR200 (robot) for m...e. Given that I knew nothing about vacuum cleaners, I took a lot of time in the store and didn't realise the store had actually closed while Alex was still giving me demonstrations and answering my questions, but I didn't feel like I was being hurried or pressured to make any decisions. I can appreciate a quality machine, but I can also appreciate an engaging demonstration and attentive customer service. Needless to say, I left that day with the VR200 (robot). I then came back to Alex a few weeks later and purchased the VK200 (upright vacuum) and the new SP600 (hard floor attachment). I love everything about these products and enjoy how they all work in harmony together. I will be sure to go back to Alex at Auburn Godfreys to purchase the rest of the Vorwerk range!
Exceptional Service, Support & Knowledge - Victoria Point Qld
Mike went above and beyond to answer my questions in regards to Enzyme Wizard Urine Staine & Odour Remover. I run a busy doggie daycare, vacation care for dogs in Redlands/Bayside & beyond and have synthetic grass in back, that RARELY is eliminated on. However, if I miss one, I know about it when the sun hits it. I found this product and called Mike to ensure I could get some real customer support should the product not deliver on its promises - (I have been using another product for 2 years, but it wasn't doing it anymore, left a residue & a fragrance).
Mike made calls, backed up the statements, offered me more advice, MSDS sheets, and really went out of his way to ensure I was satisfied with the products

Love new electrolux vacuum
Went into Godfreys Shellharbour to check out upgrading my vacuum. Needed one that bit quieter than one had and bagless. Got shown and demonstrated 3 different ones went with Electrolux bagless green for $249. Suction fantastic vacuumed one room and the amount of dust come up amazing does rugs well too. The lady that served me excellent customer service.
Still poor customer service, zero customer care
Customer of Godfreys Bundall for over 20+ years, Miami store staff were great but store shut down (ages ago), forced to go to Bundall where the service in comparison is hostile and their penny-pinching attitude did nothing to make me want to spend more. But in more recent times (over last 10 years, coz a vac lasts about 5) the clincher was the after sales "service" and lack thereof. The staff were disinterested, condescending and outright mean. I found them mildly bullying. And they only 'act' nice for a few seconds as you are swiping in your c...ard/handing over your cash, then straight back to hostile... But if you have an issue with your vacuum machine, you. can. FORGET. IT. Or get ready for a big fight. They will hunt you out of the store. I thought I'd check on the recent reviews as we are up for a couple of new vacs, but due to the continuing abysmal service by the looks of recent reviews, I will give Godfrey's the swerve. I still remember how lousy the staff made me feel when I had an issue with my vac. I never left a review before, but since they haven't addressed their bad treatment of people they're not getting my $1500. They always want the last word on everything and have no genuine customer care, in my experience with them.
