Im confused when making the Bolognese recipe out of the book. Is the meat meant to be pre cooked? ive made it twice using uncooked meat and ive had to tip the Bolognese into a frying pan to finish cooking the meat.... Any help would be great!!!!!
2 answers
Hi, I'm sorry I can't help.... I've only ever used my machine to make soup.
Tefal A.Tefal
Hi Wilko. Thank you for your question. You shouldn't need to pre-cook the meat before putting it in the machine. Is the meat you are using frozen?

Hi! My moulinex soup & co is showing an unlocked sign, what should I do?
1 answer
Tefal A.Tefal
Hi Jagath,
Thank you for your question regarding the Soup & Co. If a padlock symbol appears unlocked on the display screen this indicates that either the lid or bowl is not locked into position correctly. Please adjust the lid or bowl to the locked position and this should eliminate the padlock symbol.
I hope this helps

Hi Rudy, I'm sorry I don't know which websites or retailers currently stock this machine. I bought mine from Myer. And I took in a printout from the web for another retailer selling the machine for a lower price than Myer. And Myer price-matched to the lower price. Very handy.

Hi please can you tell me what button to press to make a smoothie? i have mislaid my manual. thank you
1 answer
Tefal A.Tefal
Hi Alli,
Thank you for the above question regarding the Tefal Soup & Co BL9031.
To make a smoothie you need to use the Speed Selector Button.
Here is a great Smoothie Recipe you can try:
Red berry, yogurt and cereal smoothie
+ 125 g strawberries
+ 250 g cold plain yogurt
+ 125 g raspberries
+ 1 tsp liquid honey
+ 50 g muesli
1. Wash the strawberries and remove the stalks.
2.Place the yogurt, raspberries, strawberries and honey into the Soup & Co.
Blend on speed 2 for 30 seconds then for 2 minutes on maximum speed.
3.Pour the smoothie into four glasses and add the muesli.
4.Serve cold and eat immediately.
If you prefer a more liquid mixture, add a little cold
milk. You can also make this smoothie with fruits such as
peaches or kiwi fruit. The key is to make it with juicy fruit
and really cold yogurt.
If you require a replacement Manual please send your details to and we will arrange for one to be sent.

Can it be use to blend nuts into powder form or anchovies into powder form? I have bought this Tefal soup & co but haven't use yet. Thank you!
1 answer
Tefal A.Tefal
Hi Irene,
Thank you for your question on the Tefal Soup & Co BL9031.
The Tefal Soup & Co has more of a Blender Function rather than a Grinder Function so unfortunately if you were to place nuts or anchovies in the soup & co it will blend them however not to a fine powder form.
If you are looking for a product for grinding you may be interested in the Tefal Click & Taste (BL142). To find out more information on this product you can click the following link:http://www.tefal.com.au/c/CLICK-%26-TASTE/p/7211001995

Made the lamb curry recipe, not happy why did it turns out like soup. Nothing like the picture at all. Followed the instructions, pressed the P button and left in on P1 and changed the cooking time to 35 minutes but it blended at the end and all the veges turned to soup and left the lamb and onion partially cooked in basket. First time using this, did I do something wrong? Help!
2 answers
Hi Westauswen, I haven't made the curry, though when I make chunkier soup, I use the P2 for around 25 minutes with less blend time as is cooked enough. You could try cooking your curry a little longer with meat, potato and carrot in the steamer and stop the blend cycle once the sauce has reached the texture you like, or, you could add the potato and carrots to the steamer after ten minutes or so if you'd prefer them to be a little firmer. It's all trial and error as with most recipes (I hope). Sorry I couldn't be of more help, good luck.
Thanks Angela for your suggestion . Talked to a friend who has a soup maker and she suggested the same idea. Will keep trying.

I purchased Tefal Soup&Co BL900 few months ago - I have lost the recipe book, so it is useless, as I am not an innovator and NEED THE RECIPES. How/where do I replace the accompanying book that came with the Tefal Soup Maker? Anything I have found on-line does not help (full recipe not given - no weights etc. Thank you.

I'm just wondering when cooking fruit, how much water is needed to stop it burning?
2 answers
Hi. I have no idea as I've not ever used the soup maker for anything but soup (and pureeing kale - see below). I guess it would need to be at least 1 cup of water, to cover the heating element at the bottom of the jug. I suppose it would also depend on how much fruit is in the jug, and how finely chopped. I tried to use my Tefal soup maker to puree raw kale leaves and stalks, so I could freeze the pureed kale into ice block trays, to put into soup, and avoid throwing out yellowed kale leaves from being in the crisper too long. The process only worked once I'd added enough water to the jug and then I needed to re-stir the kale a few times until it was all pureed. I hope you find a way to get it to work. I saw a new idea recently re using the soup maker to make a healthy icecream : frozen fruit + chilled yoghurt. I can't wait for summer to give it a go. Best of luck.
Read your instruction and that will tell you about how much liquid you nead

I have had soup makers before and have broken due to the bottom of the jug getting wet. Can the jug be submerged in water or does the bottom have to be kept dry?
Jen

No don't emerge in water.
No do not emerge in water. I don't immerse the cooking jug in either because I just don't want to damage the electrical side of things, just clean the outside of the jug with a soft clean damp cloth with a bit of detergent, but not abrasive, and then it wipe over, I hope this helps....

What am I doing wrong? Apart from the machine frequently flashing red with a 'SECU" message, when I wriggle it a bit and get it going, the soup is only just warm at the end.

I don't know, I would suggest you ring the Service people
I must not have had the jug inserted correctly - now works perfectly - pumpkin and sweet potato soup for Sunday lunch!
Mine is doing this. Its heating only at the bottom. Only used twice. No message displays just doesn't cook.

Finally I have bought an european version of Tefal Soup and Co. - Moulinex Soup and Co. they are identical except for the brand name. The problem is - there is no manual in English (neither could I find it online on the official Moulinex or Tefal websites! Strange!). I definitely would like to read the manual prior to using the product. If, by any chance, some of you have a pdf version of the manual, or a link where I could find it - I would definitely appreciate your help!

I have the receipe book that came with the machine, I think you can use any soup receipes, as long as you take care not to fill past
The mark on the machine.
Thanks for your answer. I have a receipe book in English, what I don't have is the operating manual in English and I can't find it online :(
I want the manual too. What do the programmes do - and what about the speed selector button? Why isn 't there a manual in English for the product if it is sold in Australia - and why when purchasing the product are we the customer not made aware of this. I certainly would have thought twice about purchasing the Tefal Soup and co product.

Hello everyone, I was just wondering if any of you have used the Tefal Soup & Co to mill flour (grind it from whole wheat)? I've bought it today, made a smoothie, soup and bolognese sauce. Can't wait to test it out some more tomorrow. (I'll also be using a lot of Thermomix recipes and adapting them!)

I am sorry I have not done that, but it is such a powerful machine, I think you should have a go. Regards Margaret
Just updating to say I did manage to mill the chickpeas and got a good quality flour. I've used the machine to cook up so many wonderful things!
Hi
Would love to hear about the recipes you have made.
I also have the supercook (faux thermomix) so keen to hear about those recipes to you have adapted?
Thanks
ps i have started a facebook page for the soup & co

Hello! When I researched the soup makers I came across two identical products (and even the recipe books are identical but with amended brand names!!!): one is called TEFAL Soup and Co (Reference : BL9031AU) and the other one is the MOULINEX Soup & Co (LM9031) 1100W. I'm trying to understand whether it is the same product with two different brand names or they are actually different and the design was borrowed by a sister company? Very confusing.
2 answers
I think it's just branding because they look to be the same design and at a rough guess "MOULINEX Soup & Co" is marketed to the french where "TEFAL Soup and Co" is marketed to Australia and other countries.
Thank you for your answer! I thought so too, but the marketiers should not forget that we live in a global world and many do a thorough research prior to buying electronics, that's why this stragegy is very confusing to a potential client.
P.S. In my area they sell Moulinex, but I can order online anything I want :)
