    Warranty not honoured

The firmness collapsed after 1 Yr and tried to get a claim and was told that this was normal. So when you choose medium firmness after 1 Yr old you get really soft and no support that's right I was told. Never again.

It will get very soft very soon

I bought this mattress from Harvey Norman, specifically ask for a hard/firm one and got recommend a Tempur. It was firm at first, then... it just gets softer and softer. get to the point that I can't stand the back pain anymore. Have finally bought an all latex one and my back pain is gone. Do not buy it, for the price tag it just does not worth it.

Best ever and 3 years on still going strong

    published

Best Mattress I have ever purchased. I have had the mattress now for three years and I now hate going away because I have to sleep on a different mattress. I have 2 bulging disks in my back and had gone through 4 new mattresses in 5 years with all of them after lying down for 5hours sleeping I had to get up as my back would start playing up. Now if my wife does not wake me up I can sleep for 10hrs +
I am buying another one for our spare room so when I am in the dog house an furst to sleep in there I with doing in comfort.
For me it was just perfect from the first night slepp but my wife it took her a few weeks or so to get use to it she now just loves it.

Are the Tempur mattresses made in Denmark? In particular the Cloud Supreme?

    Hi, George.

The vast majority of the TEMPUR range is made in Demark, everything from Originals, through Sensations to Clouds.

However, the one model that isn't is the Cloud Supreme, this is made by TEMPUR in the U.S.A. The products are made to the same exceptional standard and imported directly into Australia.

    Hope this answers your question.

What is the material made of? I know it is memory foam but what is memory made of? Does it give VOC gases like a new car? And can you give me a breakdown of all the layers and where the materials are made, can you tell me all about the glues used. I just want the truth from the tempur rep who is avoiding taking about the chemical side of this mattresses which are the biggest scam.

    Hi Claudia,
Tempur is a unique patented material but is from the Visco-Elastic Memory Foam family. All foams are man made and all have chemical content, and you will find 99% of mattresses will have some type of foam in them.
Tempur has gone through strict protocol and testing to make sure these are not harmful. It does have a characteristic smell like that of a new pillow, couch, mattress and car for some examples. If you contact the team at head office in Melbourne and request the documents and certificates regarding this they can forward this by email to you.
The materials are made by Danfoam in Denmark which is where the mattresses are all imported from.
All Tempur mattresses have a high density foam base layer, a Tempur support layer and a Tempur comfort layer, but it depends on the model as to how much of each of these and the other layers that are added.
I can assure you that there is no scam - Tempur is the biggest global mattress brand (owning Sealy and Sealy Posturepedic worldwide whom work independently here in Australia), and adheres to international safety standards including our own.
    Hope this provides some clarification.
