Predictable, Professional, Praiseworthy
Insured a townhome for tenancy. In the first year tenant flooded the upstairs and did $4000 damage. Claim very satisfactorily processed by Scheers. Renewed in year two with no premium increase then cancelled two months later with partial refund when we sold the property. All in all a very positive experience (except for the flood)!!

Seamless relationship for over 12 years, yes have had a claim.
Always a receptionist to direct calls or point you in the right direction as they are professional and informative. Tenants abandoned property and left furniture etc. TS paid the rental component until new tenant found, Carpets replaced also, only problem getting real estate confirmation of events.

I found them excellent on 2 occasions
I have just received the assessment on the 2nd claim I have had with them. Both were for loss of rent. Both were accepted quickly once I sent the requested documentation. I thought I would write a review to say how good they were and was truly shocked to see all the negative reviews. I have had 2 separate claims in 3 years on 2 properties. Both have been for loss of rent when a tenant broke the lease (one case) and when the tenant was given notice to vacate due to non-payment of rent. Read more). I did the claim online and clarification and extra documents by email. There was no fuss at all and response was quick - about 5 days from when I sent the documentation of the new lease. I have never tried to call on the phone as I find electronic communication much better as long as people respond - which they did. I have never seen their advertising as I don't watch much TV. I found them by googling, compared PD with others and decided they were the best option. I have not been disappointed. I hope my good experience with them continues.- Value for Money

Wonderful first impression customer service
I finally rang up Terri Scheer today after an extensive research on which company to go with for my Landlord Insurance. I have to say I’m quite pleasantly surprised to be greeted by Michelle, who has showed me that customer service starts with the first impression and it was great.
Michelle has expertly navigate through the quote and answered the questions I have on the policy. It was such a great experience that I took out multiple policy with her and I’ll definitely recommend Terri Scheer to my acquaintances.

Fast and easy refund
I was not sure what to expect, because I had an annoying experience on the phone with them once. I had sold my property and wanted to claim credit back for the rest of the term of my landlord insurance. I called up and the money was in my bank account the next day!! Great!

Excellent claim process
This was my first investment property and the very first tennant. The tanent was paying rent on time for the first few months and after that irregularities kicked in. Throw in the Covid-19 and morotorium on eviction for 6 months, I was having a very bad experience. Throughout the journey, I rang Terri Scheer and informed them about my situation. As all the documents were in order, the claim was settled within 7 business days and I am not left out of pocket. Throughout the process, the person I was dealing with was extremely professional and was understanding of my circumstances. I read the PDS and made sure that everything was done in a right manner. Overall I was very satisfied with the experience which otherwise would've been a nightmare for a first time investor with their first tenant. Thank you TS. Please keep up the good work.

Amazing Service
I have a Landlord Insurance policy with Terri Scheer for a self managed holiday rental property. I live on the South Coast of NSW, in an area severely impacted by the bushfires in Dec / Jan 2020. I lodged a claim for loss of rental income, as people were unable to access the area to road closures because of the fires. Terri Scheer could not have been more helpful during the claims process. Peace of Mind For Investors
Over the years, I've had to lodge a few claims on behalf of clients who were wise enough to have Terri Scheer Landlord Insurance. To date, each claim has been settled appropriately and my clients have not been disappointed. As long as the right documents are provided to support the claim, each claim has been processed and paid out in a timely fashion. Of course, one has to allow for delays as a result of holidays or major disasters, but that would apply to any insurer.

I was looked after by Terri Sheer. I lodged a claim when my bad tenant left me with more than $18000 worth of damage on a property bearly 4 years old. I was worried at first because it took 4 months to get an answer from Terri Scheer. I thought I'll have to cope with the loss of rent for 4 months on top of the damage. Truth be told I didn't have the right paperwork in order because of Citywide property managers witch in 2 years has not done not even 1 inspection. Communication wasn't great but in the end, Terri Scheer had my back when I was in a dire situation and helped me although they could"ve denied the claim. Note: The insurer can and will recover their payout from the bad tenant. My bad tenant was working and living in Australia. When I had a bad tenant from New Zeland who left me with damage and went back to his country I haven't been paid. BUT my Landlord insurance was not with Terri Scheer. In my opinion if the chance of recovering the payout is high the chance of acceptance of the claim is also high.- Value for Money

They were wonderful
I had a holiday rental and the day my first tenants were to arrive a pipe burst. Terri Scheer were so helpful. You could always speak to someone about the claim. They responded very quickly. Everything was covered with no objections or obstructions. I'm now changing my other properties over to them.

Loss of rent claim
Policy taken out when property purchased approx 10 years ago. Was easy to arrange.
Took approx 2 months as we were waiting on information from my Real Estate Agent, once received and sent on to Terri Sheer claim was paid within 10 days. Great service and easy to deal with.

An amazing honourable insurance company
This was my first time of having to make a claim due to absconded tenants who also left damage. It couldn't have happened at a worst time either as I had to leave Australia to visit the UK due to brother's brain haemorrhage. Terri Scheer covered everything, highly recommended
Had a bad tenant, didn't pay rent, damaged the house, dishwasher, etc, didn't pay the water bill, and moved out without returning the key or informing the property manager. Terri Scheer covered everything, from bills to replacing the flooring, a new dishwasher, cleaning, repairs, unpaid rent, lock replacement, just everything. Not as quickly as ten days but it all went through pretty soon and smoothly, my property manager did all the communications with them. I was so glad I took out insurance with Terri Scheer. This episode would have left me in a real pickle otherwise. Happened in my first year with them too. I recommend them highly.

After having insurance with a banking organisation for 4 years and when finally needing to make a claim for malicious damage only to be told that I wasn't covered I changed to Terri Scheer, thank heavens I did. 12 months later I was saddened to hear that my new tenant had passed away and not been found in the house for 5 days. With the help of my property agent and the Terri Scheer assessors we were able to rectify all problems and have the property ready for new tenants in a matter of weeks. I advised you that I had purchased contents cover by mistake, when intending to purchase building only cover, and requested a refund of the contents premium and a quote for building only cover .

Oh Dear.....I should have known there would be a catch to their "reasonable" insurance premium for landlords and building. Certainly won't go with them now. Think I will try EBM next and check out their reviews. I am finding RACV just too expensive!
