Hi I just left the paddles inside my pizza maker! So they are now burnt. Can I get replacements?
1 answer
Snap so did I sadly.
Mine weren’t too badly deformed so they do work in a fashion. I find I don’t use them as I put the pizza dough/base on baking paper and use that to lift it in and out of the oven.

What size pizza is this suited for?
2 answers
Hi, The cooked pizza size would be a maximum of your average dinner plate. You can make smaller ones of course. Most of the pre-made pizza bases fit in or slightly larger than your regular sized tortilla.
Enjoy!!
Thank you. Dinner plates differ in size. However, inches are inches and cm are cm. How many inches? How many cm?

Can you get a replacement stone ?
3 answers
No idea?? Have not had the need to replace as yet. The stone does get dirty, but I’ve taken to using baking paper (especially as I make my own pizza base dough which is impossible to manage without). The baking paper also solved the other problem I had when I accidentally left the paddle pizza lifter things in the machine to heat up and basically destroyed them (ouch) - easier to lift out with the baking paper.
Gayle
Have you contacted the makers of the machine?
No, not yet !

how can i clean the base
3 answers
I don’t clean the base. The instructions said not to and I find most of it burns of. I do try and scrap the big chunks of with the paddles it came with to remove the pizzas with. I also use baking paper underneath and find that helps contain the mess in the first place - also makes the pizza easier to get ready get /out especially using homemade bread/pizza dough which is my preference. Have been doing this for years and all good!!
You don't. long before I got the pizza maker, I used a pizza stone in oven (and still do for general baking).
Just scrape off any residue with a bench scraper like is used in baking, and that's it. The extremely high temps that the stone is subjected to sterilizes it, so there is no issue with food poisoning or anything like that. Over time, the stone stains, darkens, and gets a patina to it. It may be seen as being unsightly, but it actually makes the stone more efficient an absorbing heat in the pre-heating (the stone should be pre-heated for 10 mins before putting food in - that ensures a more even cook, especially if you are using raw dough).
Hi John, you dont clean the base you scrape burnt cheese etc off with a plastic spatula or the paddles and i wait for it to cool then wipe it down with a tea towel.

Which is the better model, the original red one or the black one with a windows?
1 answer
I have never used the red one, but assume it is just as good for cooking pizzas. The black one with the viewing window makes it easier to monitor the cooking process, and also has removable stone and the non-stick deep dish which is handy for frittatas, patties or other dishes that could not be cooked on the pizza stone. Note, the removable pizza stone is not actually reversible due to the position of the handles.

Where do I purchase this product?
2 answers
you can puchase online. If you google it it will give a couple of options where to buy. Kogan, Kitchanwarehouse to name a few.
The "New Wave Multi Functional Pizza Oven Black" which has the removable stone and the non stick deep dish is currently selling for $119.95 online at Everten. The "New Wave Red Pizza Maker" is currently selling for $99 at KitchenWarehouse. If there is not a store nearby they deliver anywhere in Australia for about $10.

Love my pizza maker, BUT when using for first time we overcooked and now have a very black stone!!! Any good ways to clean it other than scratching?
2 answers
Hi Katherine, when the stone goes black it is completely normal. It’s what they call ‘seasoned’. I just scrape all the burnt on cheese way with the paddles and give it a wipe with a dry cloth. not wet as you need the stone to remain dry. Hope this helps.
Hi Katherine, I agree with Miss Moo, the stone is going to go black eventually from melted cheese and juices from the toppings. I cook my pizzas on baking paper cut to the shape of the pizza, which may lessen the blackening process, but also makes it a bit easier to handle. No point in trying to clean the stone - just scrape off the excess debris as Miss Moo suggests.

I have a brand new 'The Pizza Maker' just out of the box. It has been in storage for a couple of years, but otherwise, brand new, unused. When I turned it on, it tripped the power. I tried 3 different power points but the same outcome each time. Ideas anyone?

Hi I had the exact same thing happen last night with my pizza maker, it’s also been stored for a few years, my mother used it twice and then went back to her usual way, but it worked for her, any ideas anyone??
Allieasked
Is anyone else getting the bottom cooking faster than the toppings? If I leave it longer, the bottom burns and the toppings are still like steamed not cooked dry like in a pizza oven.
4 answers
I’ve never had that problem - maybe try lowering the heat setting you’re currently using.
Start with a lower heat setting when warming up the base, then turn up the heat once the pizza is in.
I always cut the topping vegetables into small and thin slices that cook quickly and also scoop the seeds out of tomatoes so they don’t give off too much juice. While I don’t pile the topping too high I do put some extra toppings on top of the cheese layer, eg tomatoes, capsicum, mushrooms as I find they “grill” nicely.

Can anyone tell me how long the pizza oven takes to heat up - mine takes about 15-20 and takes about 25 minutes for the pizza to cook and that is with a store bought pizza with a few extra toppings?????
2 answers
hi no something is wrong, it should take 5 mins to heat up and cook the pizza in 5-6 mins tops, i pile the toppings on mine and can barely close the lid I have to push the top down with my hands and they cook perfectly.
I would take it back or ring them
cheers
Something is definitely wrong - mine takes about 5 min to heat and then 5 - 10 tops to cook.

Which brand is this?
Also can u use lebo bread or does it have to be dough??

Hi it's lust called Pizza maker, just Pizza I think New Wave bought them out I think you could use Le o bread, I haven't tried, but I love mine, my friend who is a chef said it is the only one to get.
Cheers
Lebo bread works just fine - pretty much any kind of bread - you just need to monitor the time a bit more carefully and not have the heat so high.
I mean which brand and model ?
