Leaks.

Silicone O-ring seal on stopper failed after light use. THERMOS told me no, I must purchase new stopper. Replacement with postage close to cost of original THERMOS.

THERMOS BRAND = EARTH KILLERS

FAIL!

Totally useless Thermos

Its easy to carry but thats about all. This unit DOES NOT keep things hot as stated it did work for a couple of weeks over 11 month period. I went to use it in Jan 2022 but when we went to make smoko the water was near cold, have only just arrived home to try and sort it out. Being older I have had several THERMOS over the years and this is the worst I've had. Would certainly NOT recommend this unit.

Purchased in February 2021 for A$45.00.

Disappointed

I purchased two of these for use in our caravan. They don’t keep water hot for more than 2 hours despite filling them with boiling water to warm them first. I purchased them trusting the Thermos branding. Never again.

Just purchased one and it took me 30 minutes to get the strap which was inside the thermos!!!!! it is a wonder I didn't break it trying to get it out.

Terrible

Don't buy one, they are Chinese rubbish. When I fill it with hot water immediately the outside is hot. Thermos you are shameful. What a nasty product & a waste of good money.

Not happy

published

I have had my Dura-Vac Thermos for about 18 months.. Has been working quite well but the last couple of times I have used it the outside has become very hot and the liquid inside is luke warm about 2 hours later. I did as I always do and heat it with hot water before use.

Not keeping coffee warm.

Almost perfect

published

Been using this chap for a couple of months now, 5 days a week for work. It seems to keep my half a litre of coffee piping hot for a good 3 hours. I'm able to fit my hand inside to clean it too, at a push. I've got smaller hands for a bloke though so probably no good for any guy with wide hands.
Only one issue I've had is that it seems to leak just the smallest amount of watery coffee every now and again. I can't work out where it comes from as the seals are good. As it is watery I'm guessing it could be from the gap in the handle. Also the handle doesn't seem very well attached.
Otherwise I'm very happy with the product.
Keeps coffee warm and easy to clean inside
Leaks a little bit.

Used every day

Compared to cheap "no name" versions, these seem to work better (mainly in the lid seal).

All stainless steel, although the lid sometime seals shut too tight if very little air space is left.

The metal shell on the "cup/lid" comes loose after a while and gets water in it after washing.
Does it's job well enough

I bought a Dura Vac and after 2 hours almost cold

Basically 2 places these things can leak - a faulty lid seal (which will be pretty obvious as steam/liquid will come out) or a insulation failure (which will result in the whole thing feeling warm). If it's under warranty etc, time to return it :(
