TomTom GO 620 Questions & Answers

haven't come across any guidance on this but I use sandisk ultra 32GB

Never had the problem but I would think a "Reset" would fix it.

unplug the USB ???? or are they any other ideas

I have an on/off switch inbuilt into the usb cable

It should be fixed by the supplier TOMTOM with software update

My GO520 behaved similarly before shutting down completely, it would flash the TomTom name and Symbol in the screen constantly.
Holding the on/off switch for about 30secs would rectify until eventually (a week after it started doing that) it lost all power/life!
There is NO reset button on these current TomTom devices.
Just purchased a Garmin Drive 61 ($149 from JBs) paid an extra $22 for extended warranty (3yrs - Replacement)
Works great, very happy so far!

the power supply was my problem cheep Chinese socket extension so make sure you have primary power to the device solves so many problems.

If you cannot rectify it in settings the do a full reboot and installation guides are on tom tom sites,plus make sure power supply is the best you can get as cheep Chinese cigarette adapters are not worth it.

Hey Ade maybe go to into your Bluetooth phone settings then find your Home wifi Name and choose to Delete this Device or Forget this Device option and you should be right on from then. Cheers TK

Because I haven't used it a lot since I bought it I haven't tried all the areas, it does show speed once you start moving but being in a rural area don't know about speed cameras,it did recognise the local school zone, only one sound for all warnings, personally, I'd prefer to have my older model, the Start 20, hope that helps a bit. PS the speed zone was recognised while I had a destination in it, don't know if it works without destination.

Try to reset to factory settings, if the problem continued, Contact the tomtom and tell them thr problem.

Just when I thought that their product couldn't possibly get any worse...
Sorry to hear about this 'feature'. And it is nothing that I can offer any help with except for suggesting to contact Tomtom.

open menu... swipe to settings...click on maps... then add a map or choose another map you can select any map in the world. if insufficient space you may need to delete a map not required.

I don't know what you need to set up except your home. Really, the operation is very little different to earlier models. If you want, you can call me and I will assist over the phone. I don't want to put my mobile number in an open forum so we need to find another way - perhaps email. I live in Sydney.

thanks Terry, I rang Tom Tom support again and got a guy that was much more helpful - the previous instructions were connect to wifi !!! I don't have wifi, but this guy helped me to install My drive and guided me through the setup. It is just that I'm not tech savvy !!!

If you look at Tom Tom World Maps on their download site Japan and a few other countries are not included (such as Greenland, etc). I don't know why. Bil

I purchased a 7" Universal Screen Protector Cover Film for Tablet on ebay for A$2.75 delivered. I cut it to suit my TomTom Go 620 and works well.
