Not my first choice
Recent panic buying forced me into this brand of nappies. I had never tried them before and they were the only brand left on shelves. A warning I should have heeded.
For the last three days, every poo (7 in total) that my baby has done in these nappies has leaked through. From every conceivable part of the nappy. That has NEVER happened to me before with any other brand of nappy. And this is my second baby. Needless to say, hubby and I breathed a sigh of relief when we used the last Tooshie nappy today. I'm really frugal and did not want to j...Read more
ust throw away most of the packet after the first explosion. I now have a laundry sink full of poo stained clothes, change table covers, feeding pillow covers and burping towels. Never again - I've started hoarding my preferred tried and tested brands when I see them in the shops. Biodegradable they may be, but they sure as hell are not friendly on energy and water consumption. Not to mention that you have to use 2 Tooshie nappies for every 1 of the other brands. Not exactly friendly for the environment.Purchased in March 2021 at Chemist Warehouse Physical Store.

AWESOME nappies and I get to feel good about my footprint
I have been using TOM Tooshies on my baby since she was several weeks old. I tried every brand of biodegradable disposable I could find, and they were all either a bad fit, didn't have good grip tabs or just didn't seem to contain mess (possibly because of poor fit). Even comparing these to non-biodegradables they are superior. I have found the sizing runs a bit large for my daughter - she's a "large" baby by weight but it's mostly length. The newborn size was too large on her when she was born, even though she was a hefty 9'2lb so we waited un...Read more
til around 4-6 weeks from memory, and used this brand exclusively since. The only other nappy which was this good was Rascal + Friends which I used when she was first born because the newborn size fit her better than any other brand. I just had such enormous guilt about the amount of plastic though, so we switched to TOM nappies as soon as the newborn size fit. I've continued with them because they're so good. My daughter's now 7 months old and has never had nappy rash. I do make a point of changing her nappy as much as required though, she never gets left in a pooey nappy, even if it's the middle of the night. We use Lucas' Paw Paw Ointment for barrier cream, and the TOM Tooshies baby wipes (which are also biodegradable and the packaging is recyclable) or Gaia wipes. (My preference is for the TOM wipes because they're wetter and have a waffle texture which cleans better, but the Gaia wipes packaging is better with the resealable lid.) The grip tabs perform very well and will handle being undone and resealed. They do not peel off at the corners and come undone. The nappies themselves are very low-profile and do not create an uncomfortable bulge for my daughter. She's a tall stringbean even at 7 months so I think perhaps not the typical shape or size baby, but these just fit her skinny bum and slim thighs so perfectly. And she's certainly tested the leg seals with her explosions since adding solid foods! We've not had a leak, even when she poos in an already wee-soaked nappy. In fact a couple of times I've opened her nappy and been astounded at the volume of runny mess in there that was entirely contained. I gave modern cloth nappies a go early on but struggled to find any that fit my daughter well or that were affordable in the short term as most require a pretty big initial outlay. I also found the bamboo inserts were HUGE and stopped her from being able to lay flat. If I could afford better MCN I would consider using them now we don't have so many poos per day, but for ease and convenience, especially when going out, I can't go past Tooshies. I just love this brand. I wish everyone would use biodegradable disposables but the sad truth is most people just don't care; even in conversation with other mothers they'll admit this, which I think is shameful. You need to consider what kind of legacy you're leaving for your children, and consider the world they will inherit. The price of these isn't even much more than Huggies. I can leave the same nappy on my daughter all night if she only has wees, so the value for money is there just like with flagship brands like Huggies, which, which most parents hold up as the pinnacle of nappy performance and value. Please, please consider the amount of single-use plastic you are putting into landfill in order to have children.Purchased in August 2021 at Coles for $15.00.

Tooshie by Tom is my only choice after trying two other brands
I started using Tooshie by Tom from the moment my baby was born. They looked fine and worked fine. The baby showed no rashes or allergies. Then a month later decided to try two other brands as they seemed to be much cheaper. One brand leaked and the snaps were bad and the other brand ended up with leaving allergies on the baby’s skin. I had to go back to Tooshie by Tom again. It is slightly expensive though when compared with other brands.
Purchased in December 2021 at Coles for $15.00.

If you must use disposables, make it Tooshies
Baby uses modern cloth nappies most of the time, but there are some situations when disposables are necessary (nappy rash, Dad is tired, Grandma is stubborn). Tooshies are my disposable nappies of choice for their great environmental ethos. While they are not fully biodegradable/compostable (have yet to find disposables that are), at least they are made from sustainable plant-based materials (like the corn absorbent core), are chemical free, and that TOM are mindful about the entire product development process. But how do Tooshies actually perf...Read more
orm? Pros Performance. Baby can wear a Tooshie for a 10 hour night period and it would still be absorbing well mid morning. Becomes a very heavy, well contained nappy. Chemical free, made mostly from plant-based materials Fits well for smaller babies. I started Baby on Newborn and we progressed steadily to Infant; she is just hitting Crawler level now at nearly 8 mo and 7 kg.Purchased in January 2021 at Coles Supermarkets for $15.00.

Very good nappy
In the negative side, we tend to have up the back leaks from time to time in these nappies. We generally use cloth, but prefer disposable at night. It’s a very comfortable and good fitting nappy. Reduced plastic and a smaller footprint are worth the occasional blow out.
Our 3yr old toddler uses the larger size and never blows out.
They don’t sag and hold up well in the 3 years we’ve been using them.
Purchased in July 2021 at Chemist Warehouse for $12.00.

Good for both baby and environment
Tried these nappies (both infant and crawler sizes) for my son as better for the environment than Huggies disposables. Very happy with them- fit well, with no leakage or nappy rash. They have cute prints. I purchased these nappies at Coles. Despite being slightly pricier than Huggies, I recommend them.

An eco friendly choice that meets expectation
Edit (Feb 19): After using this brand for three months, I've recently experienced leakage a few times. I'm not sure why as my daughter may have grown a tiny bit but she is just a little over 9kg. The crawler is for up to 12kg. If I size up, then this nappy is really expensive. I now prefer the other environmental friendly nappy brand which is also available at Coles.

I've to say I wanted to try this brand for a long time but only finally did so when they were on sales. Appreciate that the costs for making organic and eco friendly produ...Read more

Bad performing nappy
This is a very inconsistent and disappointing nappy and gave us a very bad experience on our recent holiday with bub getting wet and cold. I bought one pack while on holidays a few months back as I liked the smaller pack size for our luggage. The nappies seemed all right, though we switched back to our regular Babylove nappies once we got home. Fast forward to our next holiday and I decided to buy another new pack to throw into our luggage - again, only due to the size of the pack. Big mistake! These nappies felt different from the first pack. ...Read more
In the first pack, the nappies had a hard cardboard-like feel inside. I thought this might be uncomfortable for bub but at least they didn't leak. The nappies from the second pack were soft and flimsy and constantly leaked! Bub was wet soon after we got off the plane and at first I thought it was just a fluke. Unfortunately for us, we had gone from summer in Australia to winter in the nothern hemisphere, so when they leaked again while we were out and about, our poor bub was wet and freezing cold. We hadn't noticed in time because we were used to using Babylove nappies which never leak! Bub ended up catching a cold. We can't say for sure if it was due to getting cold from the leaking nappy, but these nappies contributed to us all having a miserable time with every single one leaking until we could find a decent local shop that sold nappies. As I said, the material is very flimsy and also the slimfit design does not ensure the nappy is a tighter fit preventing leaks; rather, there is less absorbent material available to soak up fluid. I will never buy Tom Tooshies again!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great balance of performance and sustainability.
We have used the TOM Organic Nappies in the Crawler size over the last month and have been most impressed by their performance. I love so much about these nappies - from the funky little designs to their durability. The environmentally sustainable mindset of TOM organic is something that strongly resonates with our family, and something I really want to show my support for.

The Dior of nappies!!!
As soon as I heard Tooshies by Tom were being released I had to get my hands on them! (I'm a number one fan of Tom organic)
I was not disappointed! In actual fact after having tried various other nappy brands I was convinced that Tooshies were the best nappies I had come across! Not only are they good for baby's bottom but they are great for the environment! We have never had nappy rash, any accidents or any issues for that martlet! And the baby wipes are just as good. As they don't contain any parabens, alcohol or chemicals I can be sure that even if bubs puts them in his mouth there won't be a reaction to them!! Congratulations Tooshies by Tom for creating 2 such amazing products!

Love Tooshies by TOM!
I have been using Tooshies nappies and wipes with my baby for about 4 months. Great product! We had no "accidents" at all! Better to know that it is made of plant-based and sustainable materials! I first bought it because of that and had no regrets! Love Tooshies by TOM!!!!!
