Not my first choice
Recent panic buying forced me into this brand of nappies. I had never tried them before and they were the only brand left on shelves. A warning I should have heeded.
For the last three days, every poo (7 in total) that my baby has done in these nappies has leaked through. From every conceivable part of the nappy. That has NEVER happened to me before with any other brand of nappy. And this is my second baby. Needless to say, hubby and I breathed a sigh of relief when we used the last Tooshie nappy today. I'm really frugal and did not want to j...Read more
ust throw away most of the packet after the first explosion. I now have a laundry sink full of poo stained clothes, change table covers, feeding pillow covers and burping towels. Never again - I've started hoarding my preferred tried and tested brands when I see them in the shops. Biodegradable they may be, but they sure as hell are not friendly on energy and water consumption. Not to mention that you have to use 2 Tooshie nappies for every 1 of the other brands. Not exactly friendly for the environment.Purchased in March 2021 at Chemist Warehouse Physical Store.

Best nappies, super absorbent and no rashes
After using another brand for almost a year I swapped to Tooshies as I was frustrated with constant nappy rash and night leaks. Since I swapped to Tooshies (7 months ago) I have never had a leak despite them feeling incredibly full and no nappy rash caused by the nappies. They may not feel as absorbent/ thick as another well known brand however they sure are! They are a lovely material compared to some other eco brands I’ve tried. 10/10 will use from day one with my next baby. I only wish they were sold in Woolworths so I could grab them as part of my regular shop.

AWESOME nappies and I get to feel good about my footprint
I have been using TOM Tooshies on my baby since she was several weeks old. I tried every brand of biodegradable disposable I could find, and they were all either a bad fit, didn't have good grip tabs or just didn't seem to contain mess (possibly because of poor fit). Even comparing these to non-biodegradables they are superior. I have found the sizing runs a bit large for my daughter - she's a "large" baby by weight but it's mostly length. The newborn size was too large on her when she was born, even though she was a hefty 9'2lb so we waited un...Read more
til around 4-6 weeks from memory, and used this brand exclusively since. The only other nappy which was this good was Rascal + Friends which I used when she was first born because the newborn size fit her better than any other brand. I just had such enormous guilt about the amount of plastic though, so we switched to TOM nappies as soon as the newborn size fit. I've continued with them because they're so good. My daughter's now 7 months old and has never had nappy rash. I do make a point of changing her nappy as much as required though, she never gets left in a pooey nappy, even if it's the middle of the night. We use Lucas' Paw Paw Ointment for barrier cream, and the TOM Tooshies baby wipes (which are also biodegradable and the packaging is recyclable) or Gaia wipes. (My preference is for the TOM wipes because they're wetter and have a waffle texture which cleans better, but the Gaia wipes packaging is better with the resealable lid.) The grip tabs perform very well and will handle being undone and resealed. They do not peel off at the corners and come undone. The nappies themselves are very low-profile and do not create an uncomfortable bulge for my daughter. She's a tall stringbean even at 7 months so I think perhaps not the typical shape or size baby, but these just fit her skinny bum and slim thighs so perfectly. And she's certainly tested the leg seals with her explosions since adding solid foods! We've not had a leak, even when she poos in an already wee-soaked nappy. In fact a couple of times I've opened her nappy and been astounded at the volume of runny mess in there that was entirely contained. I gave modern cloth nappies a go early on but struggled to find any that fit my daughter well or that were affordable in the short term as most require a pretty big initial outlay. I also found the bamboo inserts were HUGE and stopped her from being able to lay flat. If I could afford better MCN I would consider using them now we don't have so many poos per day, but for ease and convenience, especially when going out, I can't go past Tooshies. I just love this brand. I wish everyone would use biodegradable disposables but the sad truth is most people just don't care; even in conversation with other mothers they'll admit this, which I think is shameful. You need to consider what kind of legacy you're leaving for your children, and consider the world they will inherit. The price of these isn't even much more than Huggies. I can leave the same nappy on my daughter all night if she only has wees, so the value for money is there just like with flagship brands like Huggies, which, which most parents hold up as the pinnacle of nappy performance and value. Please, please consider the amount of single-use plastic you are putting into landfill in order to have children.

Tooshie by Tom is my only choice after trying two other brands
I started using Tooshie by Tom from the moment my baby was born. They looked fine and worked fine. The baby showed no rashes or allergies. Then a month later decided to try two other brands as they seemed to be much cheaper. One brand leaked and the snaps were bad and the other brand ended up with leaving allergies on the baby’s skin. I had to go back to Tooshie by Tom again. It is slightly expensive though when compared with other brands.

Tooshies by Tom are awesome - SO amazing to have affordable, effective Eco nappies.
These are such great nappies, mostly because they are Eco friendly, but also organic and they WORK as intended, which is always the worry when using a different nappy brand. And added bonus is that they are more compact, so easier to travel with!

Absolutely terrible and not even great eco credentials
As far as 'eco' nappies go, there are better quality ones with better eco rankings out there. The outer layer was falling apart before it was even wet. Save your money

Good nappies, small sizing
We've been using tooshies since my bub was newborn as I wanted something better for the environment. Only gripe is the small size. She is 9kg and is too big for the nappies meant to go to 16kg, so at 6 months she's now in the walker size. She still wears a size 3 huggies nappy.
We also don't put her in tooshies overnight because she usually sleeps for 12 hours and we had a few leaks when she was younger.
Positives: She doesn't seem to get as much nappy rash as with some of the other nappies we've tried. I think the wide band is great and doe...Read more
sn't fold over. They also don't have a strong chemical smell when really full. Cons: really quite expensive now she's in the biggest size. Overall I'm happy with them and do feel better about the eco friendly materials used. Haven't had any issues with faulty products like some of the other reviews on here.Purchased in December 2021 at Coles for $15.00.

Poor absorbancy and a few were faulty
The newborn nappies leaked all the time.
The infant nappies haven't leaked very much, but we have had a few with manufacturing defects where the straps are either missing or only partially attached.
The bulk pack of wipes is just a multi pack of the travel wipes.
We want to do the right thing and use biodegradable products and Australian made, but these are pretty terrible.
I will avoid in the future.

Doesn't hold anything in
So far, every single nappy I've put on my 2 month old baby has had poo seeping out the sides and/or wee come out. (He doesn't do big poos)
This isn't my first baby, I know a thing or two about putting a nappy on correctly, so this isn't user fault.
The nappies just aren't holding anything in, unfortunately! I was so keen to try these as they are supposedly better for the environment.
Not keen.

If you must use disposables, make it Tooshies
Baby uses modern cloth nappies most of the time, but there are some situations when disposables are necessary (nappy rash, Dad is tired, Grandma is stubborn). Tooshies are my disposable nappies of choice for their great environmental ethos. While they are not fully biodegradable/compostable (have yet to find disposables that are), at least they are made from sustainable plant-based materials (like the corn absorbent core), are chemical free, and that TOM are mindful about the entire product development process. But how do Tooshies actually perf...Read more
orm? Pros Performance. Baby can wear a Tooshie for a 10 hour night period and it would still be absorbing well mid morning. Becomes a very heavy, well contained nappy. Chemical free, made mostly from plant-based materials Fits well for smaller babies. I started Baby on Newborn and we progressed steadily to Infant; she is just hitting Crawler level now at nearly 8 mo and 7 kg.Purchased in January 2021 at Coles Supermarkets for $15.00.

Too small
Size 10-16kg is very small. My baby is 10.7kg and could not fit the nappy properly. I would have thought that being up to 16kg it was going to be more than enough.

Very good nappy
In the negative side, we tend to have up the back leaks from time to time in these nappies. We generally use cloth, but prefer disposable at night. It’s a very comfortable and good fitting nappy. Reduced plastic and a smaller footprint are worth the occasional blow out.
Our 3yr old toddler uses the larger size and never blows out.
They don’t sag and hold up well in the 3 years we’ve been using them.

The best one I’ve used
Now, I’m pretty down to the value when it comes to nappies. Although these were a touch dearer, thanks to my mother in-law who gifted them to me otherwise I would not have discovered them and stuck on using the most common brand... Huggies. They fit so nicely and comfortably I found when my newborn l was in that 4 to 5kgs. At this weight Huggies became too tight for my newborn, however the next size up were still too big. The straps are bigger so that it doesn’t curl up unlike the other nappies... Babylove and Huggies. They are super absorbent ...Read more
as when I’m about to change my newborn and she does the unexpected wee... as long as she is still on the nappy... it catches it all and no need for that unnecessary wet clothes. Bonus is that they are good for the environment. Give them a try specially for the delicate skin of a newborn you won’t regret it.Purchased in June 2021 at Chemist Warehouse for $14.00.

All sizes of Tooshies are great
We had issues with little absorbency, wetting through to clothes and nappy rashes with majority of other nappy brands. I use Toms products on myself and with so many great reviews decided to give Tooshies a try. Absolutely no complaints! Fit great, Absorb well, bub just slept through the night (12 hours) and absorbed well with no rash. We do not use anything else now. I have nothing but praise for these nappies and being environmentally friendly is a huge bonus. The only thing that could be improved is if they were available in bulk/larger packs.

Worst nappies I've used
These nappies have a really low absorbency. Every morning my little one has wet clothes and every time she does a poo it leaks onto her clothes. I won't be purchasing again.

We love these nappies
Tom’s nappies are just fantastic. We’ve used them since birth for a lactose intolerant baby who has.. well utterly horrific explosive poos.. and they are up to the task. No leaks. Plus they breathe, we’ve never had nappy rash. The designs are cute and they’re a better choice for the environment. Big fan!

Good for both baby and environment
Tried these nappies (both infant and crawler sizes) for my son as better for the environment than Huggies disposables. Very happy with them- fit well, with no leakage or nappy rash. They have cute prints. I purchased these nappies at Coles. Despite being slightly pricier than Huggies, I recommend them.

Faulty Nappies
Almost half of the nappies in the package were faulty, at least one of the 2 straps used to hold the nappy was either not attached to the nappy at all or was barely attached and I wasn't able to put the nappy on properly without it tearing off completely. Other then that the nappies caused no irritation for my daughter and had no leaking, I'm not sure if i just had a faulty pack because other reviews have been really good and doesn't look like they have had any issues with the build of the nappy but I don't think i will be purchasing again due to paying for a full pack of them and only being able to use pretty much half of it.

Good quality
There is no chemical smell after bub pee and it is soft for bub. No leaking problem. I love the cute pattern on the nappy as well. Just a little bit problem is there's no wetness indicator on nappy. But overall, I would recommend this nappy as it is good for environment.

An eco friendly choice that meets expectation
Edit (Feb 19): After using this brand for three months, I've recently experienced leakage a few times. I'm not sure why as my daughter may have grown a tiny bit but she is just a little over 9kg. The crawler is for up to 12kg. If I size up, then this nappy is really expensive. I now prefer the other environmental friendly nappy brand which is also available at Coles.
