Please give customers a choice re packaging
everything was perfect except it arrived wrapped in plastic !The product was protected by a hard case and did not need the plastic. Please abandon plastic packaging to paper packaging.

Easy to navigate, good range of tools to choose from, quality of product excellent. It was cheaper and easier to by from Toolmart online than to go and search local hardware stores.

Now that's what I call customer service.
All I wanted was a small, possibly the smallest, block plane, cost $13.50. Hardly going to bust their sales figures for the month. Guys in there couldn't have been more helpful. They didn't have it in stock but no problem, they'd have it shipped over and give me a call when it arrived. Sure enough, late the next afternoon I got the call, it had arrived. Went over the next day and there it was. Well done guys, that's customer service.

Fantastic Service
My shopping experience was outstanding. I'm not usually one for writing reviews however I had to after the service I recieved at the Belmont store yesterday. I cannot speak highly enough of the manager there who spent A LOT of time with me listening to what I needed and recommending different ways about it. A lot of store you go into don't wanna go above and beyond for a "smallish" sale, but Toolmart definitely do! Will be back, never going anywhere else again!

trying to get a tool repaired
I dropped of a Dewalt 12' compound dropsaw 9 weeks ago for repair. i have since cancelled the repair order as i cannot get any useful information or updates from them.
I was told i would be contacted when the saw arrived at the repair centre - Belmont, and given advice on what was wrong and a cost to fix. after waiting a week to hear from them i called to see what was happening and was told it was a very simple problem and would be done in a week. after waiting for almost 2 weeks i called again as i had heard nothing and was told that the par...Read more

well it all ended well, after this review i was contacted and the matter was sorted free of charge.
saw is working well and no further trouble.
Just wish it had not taken so long, or required a review to be written for it to be resolved.

Best tool shop in Perth
Fantastic shop. All the staff are really helpful and went out of their way to explain the differences between makita, milwaukee, dewalt and brushless and non brushless tools. Didn't feel like they were pushing me to buy and just wanted to make sure i got the best deal. Will definately be back.

Dear John,
Sincere apologies for the time it took to address the warranty issue with your tool.... Read more
Unfortunately your review doesn’t state what the brand was or which store you had processing the warranty. Depending on the tool, supplier and warrantable issue, sometimes it is necessary for us to wait for a rep to have a look before providing a replacement. Torque wrenches and other precision instruments are a good example of this and need to be authorised by the particular supplier prior to actioning. We do have “warranty changeover” agreements on simple manufacturer issue warranties with most of our major hand tool suppliers, but again without knowing specific details it is hard to comment. Following some recent feedback of a similar kind, we have started negotiations with the other suppliers that previously did not provide this service to ensure even smaller brands have the same back up provided. Toolmart sell quality tradesman tools and it is important that we are able to back up the manufacturer’s warranty at store level. Please feel free to message us or contact us on 08 6278 0000 to provide more details so we can follow through with the store or supplier involved. Regards, Toolmart Management.Kemscot store call them they still got the tool as i need the tool so bought new one from bunnings as they do have an exchange policy and secondly it cost me hours of work due to braking head bolts of... Be Careful of buying online from Toolmart
The guy I spoke to there about my DAWN vice which broke after only 1 month of use (owned for 9 months) was nice and being as helpful as he could but it is obvious that there is very little training for staff to correctly handle online purchases and I was never given any type of compensation
I did not as far as I know misuse the vice in any way (just was holding my axes) I restore vintage axes
Now I am left trying to clamp my axe heads to my workbench with vice grips (not very efficient) while I work out where to get another vice

Hello Scott,
As has been relayed to you via email, Toolmart were waiting on Dawn Tools to get back to us regarding your complaint before any compensation was awarded. We passed on the photos and info... Read more
rmation you provided to the general manager of Dawn and were dealing direct with him. It was explained after you sent through the images of the fault that Dawn themselves would make the final decision on whether or not the warranty claim was accepted. We also stated that Dawn may want to get the vice back for inspection prior to this happening.Yes...no worries...my phone was actually out of charge and I did not realize...appreciate you getting back to me on this matter and the support of your team

Big shop, great range, helpful staff
I recently purchased a new cordless kit from the belmont store, i was tossing up between Makita and Milwaukee so the salesperson talked me through my options, I ended up going for the Milwaukee 6 piece kit (Milwaukee have a larger range of mechanics tools). They even swapped out the circular saw for the big impact wrench and i just paid the difference ( something that the red shed up the road refused to do). Im more than happy with the tools and they looked after me on the price for a set of deep impact sockets when i went back in a couple of days after. overall really happy with the service and the range of products.

I have been shopping at the Belmont store for years now, I've never had any issues with the staff or customer service, they are always willing to help and gave my son a good discount on his tool kit when he started his apprenticeship, definitely worth having a look in there nexe time you're shopping for tools, would recomend to anyone

Customer service.
O'Connor and Rockingham
2 bad experiences.
What a joke these blokes are.
O'Connor first:
Catalogue special, Kinchrome pegboard $59
Went in there December 2016
Had to order, said will be in January 2017.
When I phoned in January, he said nothing has come in yet.
After the third phone call, he said the Kinchrome rep was in now, he asked him, told me to leave it with him, he would get back to me.

Dodgy I reckon.
Took my ELU PS174 saw in as the blade was stopping some times. They charged $44 to inspect got the report $240 as bearings where gone and belt needed replaced, would have to wait 3 months for parts, reckoned it was best to buy a new saw as their warranty is only 1 or 3 months. Given saw back still unassembled. I re-assembled and bought a belt online for $25 from UK low and behold saw works like new! If they where not interested in the job why bother lying just tell the customer, they will not be getting any business from me dodgy as!

Hi Stephen,
Please accept our apologies for the delay as we have only recently begun monitoring this site.... Read more
I can assure you that after 40 years operating in WA we are far from “dodgy” and we did try to explain to you at the time that your saw was very old and the expense to repair it was likely unwarranted at commercial rates. We also pointed out that parts would be difficult to source in a timely manner due to the age of the tool. We have a duty of care to make sure that we do not send a machine out from the workshop with items that could be dangerous such as worn bearings on a bench saw – and they are checked properly while in the shop. It is industry practice not to reassemble inspections that do not go ahead as it is effectively a double up at the hourly rate for a tool that is deemed to be unserviceable on a commercial basis. We are pleased to hear that you have undertaken the repair and taken the time to source the parts required and hope it continues to work well for you.Similar opinion? Toolmart torch exchange
Brought a metabo torch with my drill and angle grinder, as it takes rechargable lion batteries same as the drill and angle grinder, the torch really performed poorly, the next day I took it back, and there was no problem exchanging the value onto another item I planned on buying, a couple of multitool blades the ones they sell at toolmart are high quality and last alot longer than the ozito blades I was buying in bunnings.I have since brought a Led lenser M7R rechargable torch, best torch I've ever had, I'll review it fully on another occasion. ...Read more
