I'm looking to purchase a 2008 VX VDJ200R with about 140k on the clock.
Is there an easy / quick way to tell if the motor has been exposed to dust and may have been damaged?

I have an issue with my 2018 LC 20 VX model and radio and Bluetooth having no sound. Here’s what happens
Currently - no sound at all coming through. This effects the radio and whilst the phone does connect to Bluetooth, there is no sound coming out of that either.
Previously - there has been static coming from the speakers. It is very random and can ‘crackle’ at any time, then goes quiet, then crackles again.
Occasionally - At times it just switches on and everything works.
Toyota have replaced the head unit and zero change. I just picked it up from Toyota today for attempt #4 and the technician says there are ‘no problems with wiring or speakers’ however I still have no sound
Any help/advice would be wonderful.

I have a 2013 GX and the anit theft alarm(horn and lights flashing for 30 seconds) are being triggered for no apparent reason often in the middle of night. Very annoying. The system activates normally when the car is locked. Any suggestions??

Seemed to be running on say 6 cylinders on initial start for a few seconds after not been started for 2 weeks is this an injected problem

I have a December 2022 registered model 200 series Landcruiser Sahara purchased new and now done 3,000 km.
1. I have tested the accuracy of the vehicle speedo against both a GPS and the app on my smart phone. Both indicate that the vehicle speedo is 5 - 6 kilometres out. The GPS and phone app indicated identical speeds to each other. Returned it to the Toyota dealer who advised that it cannot be fixed. Could it be possible that the speedo system of these vehicles is designed and engineered for the majority of this series eg. the GXL etc with smaller diameter rims but no modifications have been made for the more prestigious and expensive VX and Sahara Models ?? At 5 - 6 kilometres speedo inaccuracy I suggest that this vehicle and probably all VX and Sahara series Toyotas may be in breach of the standard of Australian Design Rule 18.

2. This vehicle is fitted with a smart phone charging dock located in the dashboard. It only charges our phone intermittently. We have tried it with a phone case on and the case removed with the same results.
The dealer says nothing is wrong with the charging unit and it must be our phone. Our phones are very recent Apple phones. I have a very cheap ( $ 20.00 ) phone charging clock at home that charges BOTH our phones.

3. The test vehicle that we drove on the day prior to signing the contract for purchase and ordering of our new Sahara was identical to what we ordered. Whilst driving, it displayed the area speed limit at the bottom right hand corner of the Nav screen. Our new vehicle does not do this. The dealer has advised me that the 2022 model Sahara does not have that feature. How can this be when the same vehicle that I drove 4 months before ours was delivered DID HAVE that feature. Both my wife and I saw it displayed as we drove it and even commented to the salesman at the time how we loved that feature.

4. Our Sahara is fitted with TV monitor screens on the rear of the front headrests for passengers seated in the back seat. When I fold the back seats forward and secure them with the straps fitted as per the manufacturer's instructions, the seats push against those two TV screens with what I would call a great deal of pressure. This design fault puts those very, very expensive screens at risk of being damaged. I feel that these seats have been designed and engineered to fit the general 200 series vehicles not fitted with the TV screens and that Toyota have done nothing to modify the seating system once the screens were fitted not allowing for the protruding screens.

2013 land cruiser no reaction with start switch and no dome light when door open or closed,

I started my 2013 Sahara this morning and it has no audio, at all on any function. Is there a master mute button somewhere? The handbook says that the pause button doubles a mute button but that is having no effect. I spin the volume button and nothing. I press the buttons on teh steering wheel, nothing.

Will the rims of a 2022 Landcruiser Sahara fit on a 2008 Landcruiser GXL?

Console lights not working. My dash lights up ok but the whole console in middle is dark, Nab screen etc, radio, gear stick all in darkness. Any ideas? Thx guys

Have an intermittent door unlock alarm and light, have isolated the 5 door locks one at a time and fault still there. Seems to be no pattern to when the slarm comes on, can be sitting still in driveway and is not affected by rough off road driving ( not loose wire) Any ideas?
