hi I have a 2009 200sers cruiser on start up cold and let it idle for 5 mins blows white smoke . I have had injectors tested at Toyota all ok had intake manifold cleaned . the car has done 110 000 km .the car is ok at run temp can any one help thank you byron

Hi, for some reason I am having problems with roof DVD player and the radio/CD player, actually the whole system sat nav etc. I have lost all volume to the module. It happened over night. The radio was working when I dropped it off to mechanic and then when I picked it up in the afternoon it wasn’t working. Made arrangements to take it back next day, low and behold it was working. Then over the weekend it stopped all together. I don’t know if I believe it is a heat thing, I live in the Nth West and the car has been here since new. Can anyone help?

I have a 2022 vx cruiser only done 1500km oil catch can fitted engine light came on high temp dpf black soot in tail pipe Toyota only suspect catch can fault limited warranty fault had catch can tested working fine prevent 200 has anyone else had this issue

Make sure its connected correctly. DPF issues are rare on the 200 but have happened. a catch can cannot hurt the engine unless its hooked up wrong. Take it to the workshop who did it and get it checked.

My 200 when it's sitting in Park, it makes a whining scratching noise n I loose power to the dash but when put in to any gear, everything returns to normal.. What is the issue here

I have 2015 vx that has a diff whine..replaced the diff oil,and transfer case oil but still there! It's 5 years old, it's out of warranty, I haven't heard of other cruisers having this problem?

Is this in low range? If so it’s normal as the 200 has straight cut gears in the transfer case and it is noisier than the older 100 series but not there in high range
Not in low range....just normal driving
Took it to toyota and they said it's the rear diff centre bearing, it's only done 85,000 and that will cost me $2,500

I have a 2011 gx, and got it remapped recently after buying it about 8 months ago, and the readout said that it only has 165kw after the remap and 140 before, I thought 200kw was standard

Ask an Agent or look in tbe manual, usually available on line
200kw is at the engine. When you allow for drive-line losses you get 140kw as measured at the tyres
165kw is measured at the tyres.
Dont feel bad, The Y62 Patrol is 297kw at the engine and yet was 163kw at the tyres AFTER a tune.

You cant, it isnt compatible with apple carplay or Android Auto. You need a 3rd party overlay to do it. the 200 Series Landcruiser Owners page on facebook has some options.

Screw the fuel cap up tighter. That will fix it!
Get your ABS sensors checked. I had 2 go on mine.

200 series glove box door won’t stay shut. The side latches work for a while after sprayed with lubricant but then just stay in after a while. I can’t seem to be able to get the door off to pull it apart, can anyone help please. Thanks

The nipples on the door will be gummed up. A clan and a little lube and it will shut again

Voltage sensitive relay. You have an electrical fault somewhere. My advice would be take it to a good Auto electrician of to a Toyota dealer.
the 200 doesnt have a VSR error that comes up on that screen nor a voltage sensitive relay unless added aftermarket (and iff errors, it wouldnt show on that screen). Likely a VSC error

Need more info. On the screen in front of the steering wheel? There can be a ESC, CDL, VSC errors but not a VRS. Does it flash or just say to visit your dealer? Im assuming its likely a VSC which is vehicle stability control. This can error after changing wheels, alignments, balancing etc and usually means they didnt reset and/or calibrate the YAW sensor. Some smaller shops may not even know it has one. The facebook 200 series owners page is a good source of help and has both owners and workshops as members.
