Perfect first car
Bought this as my first car to learn manual in and honestly such a good choice, steering is lovely and is a joy to drive, extremely fuel efficient and small size is easy to park. Have had absolutely no issues with the car at all. Although small feels surprisingly roomy inside.

Well Marketed
Well designed and marketed vehicle. Small, short, wide wheel based. Handles like a go cart. Three gears auto gutsy small city car. Steers boldly with great torque for engine size. Spacey and comfortable. Economical and cheap to run. Really a two seater. Sporty ride and pulls up sweet. OK on highway for a small car. Almost a mini cruiser. Good vision all round. More fun than my Mazda 2 Sedan and just as zippy. Good boot for size and comfy seats. Not the safest car because of its size - good value for money - mini bodge box

Can't live without my car
I have a 2016 Toyota Yaris and I can't brag enough about it. It's the perfect size for myself and the bluetooth system works flawlessly to connect my music and phone calls. The price I paid of $17000 was very reasonable for a brand new car and fuel economy is great, getting about 500km on a $40 full tank.

This is perfect
Excellent small car. Great for travelling. Nice soundsystem. the Yaris was pretty well equipped with standard air-conditioning, an MP-compatible stereo with a CD player, remote central locking, power mirrors and window. the Yaris was pretty well equipped with standard air-conditioning, an MP-compatible stereo with a CD player, remote central locking, power mirrors and window. Some things to consider before buying
The venerable Toyota delivers on all fronts - looks, cabin space, handling and efficient maintenance (the positives). However there are some major and minor concerns I have with my 2016 standard Yaris that I believe should be considered before buying. Read this if you want to understand this car's negatives:
Major concern 1) Crash protection. After being driven into at 60kmphr, and hit in the front left section of the car, no airbags deployed. I later learned that airbags require velocity to deploy. Perhaps this is standard across the range, b...Read more

Satisfied customer
Satisfied customer, spacious and easy to park. Good mileage so easy on saving. Not a luxury car but first car to start with, helpful in each way. The boot is small but over all a great car for family.Even when driving on a high speed their is no bubbling and its a smooth drive.

Budget car
My partner drives it most of the time and he says it is pretty good and powerful for its price. It does struggles a bit when going uphill or with the air con turned on but generally it's fine. It is small, cosy and easy to drive, suitable for our daily use.

Extremely reliable and not so small
Got this car as a 21st present from my family and it's amazing. I own a 2015 Yaris YR and don't let the exterior fool you, the interior feels a lot bigger than my other family car. It's extremely light and handles great and is by far the most fuel efficient car i have ever driven. My only issue is the bluetooth/touch screen technology which sometimes messes up but not enough to bring my rating down. 5/5

Good small affordable car
Got my yaris sedan secondhand back in uni, and it had been performing really well and very reliable. Small car so it was really easy to monuve around (especially as a new driver). It has relatively big space as well for a single. The running cost is low in general but Toyota service is a bit expensive. Overall a good first car before I move on to ssh more expensive

Great for city driving
Really happy with this car. It's the perfect size to whiz around the city and parking is a breeze. Petrol consumption is pretty economical as well and I only need to fill my tank once every 1.5 - 2 weeks and I drive nearly an hour a day return to commute to work.
I'm not sure how much room would be available in the back for car seat(s) or a pram to fit in the boot but just for myself to drive around with my husband or my friends its perfect. I really like that the boot has a hidden compartment for safety but also for extra space.

ly negative, which I don't know if its just my car or all Yaris but when I start the car the front panel makes this weird vibrating noise from the stereo. Once the car is warmed up and moving it goes away but it can get annoying at first. I had the Toyota dealership check it out during my 3 years service period but they couldn't find any faults. But it's such a minor complaint I wouldn't worry too much about it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good to save fuel and for daily commuter
I rent the car when i traveled in Adelaide and Kangaroo island. Using about 40L to drive for more than 700km.
The boot is small and I can only put 1.5 suitcases. I don't find the other issues and quite happy with the performance of the car. I will buy one in the future

Basic, economical, reliable so far
Driving experience: performance is zippy enough, handling is good, very little noise.
Interior: it's basic, and there are some silly compromises. The touchscreen / rear vision camera is a nice addition. The glove box isn't even big enough to hold the manual / logbook folder that they came in! There's less internal storage than I'd want. But legroom is great.
Reliability: so far so good, but it's only been 2 months.
Running costs: Toyota have fixed price servicing for 3 years, so that's good.

Ok for single person use
Not as strong performance, but a reliable car. Interiors are good, and cheap to run and maintain. As a hatchback, able to utilise back seats for extra space as boot space. New designs are looking better. Would recommend for single person use such as myself (I am a university student).

Good budget car
I love this car. It’s small and cosy. Suitable for a small family. It’s inexpensive side on maintenance, fuel efficiency makes it a cost saver.
I have travelled far with it without issues and have always followed Toyota guidelines making it more reliable even in the long run.
I would recommend it for families who want to save cost and yet enjoy the luxury of a car.
Remember, You won’t have issues in parking!!

Great value for money
Pros:
fuel economy is impressive. My car runs 500km in just $30 worth of fuel.
small and easy to drive, great for 1-2 person use or small families.
Cons:
the 4-speed, 1.3L engine is lacking just a little bit of power, especially in hilly areas, it really takes a while to build up your speed.

cheap reliable little car
As with all toyotas, reliability is the most noticeable feature. I have been driving to work everyday for the past 4 years with this little car, 250 kms each way, and it has never given me any problem. The mileage (i have the manual version) is pretty good, with a full tank giving me about 640 kms depending on the traffic conditions. The car is very spacey (5 doors), the driver seat is quite ergonomic although not luxurious. The engine is quiet but it can get a little noisy on hot days with full aircon on.
The downside is that once it gets to about 95,000 kms it loses a little bit of acceleration it had at the beginning.

one of the best small cars around but would like to see more power
I own a 2017 toyota yaris YR. i got a terrific deal as it was a demo car. although the car is great in all areas, i would like to see it have more power as sometimes when I drive the car up hills it struggles, even in low gear.

Cheap and reliable
Toyotas are always a good car to buy for their reliability however there are some things to note with the Yaris.
Very light car so it will tend to over accelerate at the start
Seats are very average - no support, just one large piece of foam
Low maintenance costs for sure

Reliable, but terrible mileage
Compared to my previous manual Yaris of 10 years ago, which easily got 650 km on a full tank, the fuel economy of this automatic is horrendous, barely able to reach 500 km on a full tank. I would have expected significant improvement in this regard for an automatic. Nowhere near the advertise L per 100km, and I'm almost tempted to call this fraudulent advertising, but unfortunately there's no claim since it's not considered a fault.
Otherwise, the vehicle has been reliable for the 10,000km I've driven it thus far. My previous Yaris easily did 330,000 before I sold it. Will see how well this one does, but am not happy with the extra money being wasted on fuel.

Awesome Car for a Family
Very good in performance and handling. No noise at all while driving. Runs very smoothly. Interior is far better than other models of same brand or other brands. Very spacious from inside. A perfect sedan for a family. Very reliable and easy to operate. Automatic transmission is available which makes your driving much easier. Available in many colors but black looks AWESOME. Low maintenance compared to other cars and models.
