Lightweight... maybe too lightweight for some. Will tip if things hung off it. Very easy to open and collapse...compact for small boots. Has a large hood you can adjust to suit. My only gripe is the basket is small and hard to access if the base is in flat mode.
Super easy to open/collaspe, easy to keep clean, space saver!
Basket is small and inaccessable if stroller base is flat. Too lightweight for hanging anything off...will tip!

After having horrific experience with mountain buggy nano,I couldn't be happier.
I became even fussier after my complete negative experience when looking for replacent.
This Valco Snap is the best pram/stroller purchase in my 9 years of being mum to 4 kids. See my pros for my reasons below !
Extremely light. Excellent weight capacity. Can steer one hand. Smooth ride in and outside. Compact fold. Easy fold. Easy open. Big hood. Big basket. Light. Fits in back of 7 seater car with all seats up. Nice colours. Comfortable for child. Good height for tall child.
The Valco Baby Snap4 pram is pretty well designed and a great workhorse but I feel that it is important to clarify its mechanical problems. The following description is based on my experiences of the brakes failing and having to take the assembly apart to try and repair the problem. Hopefully it might help parents who find themselves in the same situation.
I do like the overall design of this pram and would like to point out that a failure of the brakes won't cause it to be suddenly 'let off the leash' and run into the path of oncoming traff...
Read moreic. Its arresting mechanism is a cable, held under tension by a spring, that prevents the brake from locking the wheels until you apply the brake lever. This means that the potential danger lies in the mechanism failing while the pram is in motion: for instance hurrying across the road, or alighting from a bus or a train. If the brake fails then the pram will suddenly lock up and your momentum could spill you and your child onto the ground. This is the danger to watch out for. The company should be credited for recognising that the problem of the weak cable exists in some of their prams and for offering, to those customers that have been effected, replacement brake assemblies which they say have been upgraded. If you are worried that it may happen to your pram then listen for the warning sign which, in my experience, was a clicking sound coming from the wheel when the pram is in motion. This sound is made because the cable is stretching and allowing the locking lug to make a fluttering contact with the ratchets on the turning wheel. Once that happens you might have another two days or so before the cable breaks.I've had my Snap 4 for a week and absolutely love it. I had a valco tri mode that lasted 3 kids, but was becoming too bulky and heavy for quick errands with my daughter. It was a pain taking it on public transport (which was very rare) and getting in and out of shops. The snap 4 is so quick to fold and unfold and fits into our car easily with the 3 row seats up.
Lightweight, easy fold, compact.
The only con is compared to my Tri mode is that I used to hang bags off the bell on the handle, I tried something similar and it was too heavy and fell backwards.

Have had this pram for about 18 months. Have never had an issue with it until yesterday when the brake cable snapped leaving me with only 2 wheels.
Rang Valco today and explained to them what happened and straight away they asked for my name and address to send a replacement brake.
Pram is very easy to put together so I know that I will have no trouble replacing it myself.
very lightweight. easy to fold/unfold. cheap. good customer service from valco
the brake cable seems to be too thin.

I purchased this pram after (my third one) previously owning a Baby Love Snap and Go which had a baby capsule that was perfect for my new born but after 3-4 months the lo was too big for the capsule and I had to get a new baby seat and a new pram. We didnt get rid of our Baby Love Snap n Go pram because it went as a combo. So I did my research and found that this fantabolous pram Valco Snap 4 had an adaptor for my Baby Love Snap n Go Capsule. PERFECT!
We're obviously thinking of having more kids in the future.

Read more. I had a Combi in between this and the Baby Love pram, however, this one ticks it all. It is light for a petite mum like me to carry and so easy to fold up and fold out! (weighing only 6.6kg according to their website). It fits into my hatchback car just nice the wheels are larger than the Baby Love and Combi prams I owned, but its easy steering and handling. The canopy is large as it has an extendable zip. It has a foot cover (which I leave on period) as its winter and I like to keep the lo warm. The foot cover can be left on when folding down the pram. Foot cover and canopy come in various colours.Related Articles

We've been using the Valco Snap 4 for six months and it has proven to be everything we wanted. Our checklist for a pram was:
- light-weight
- narrow (i.e. able to get through doorways and checkouts easily!)
- easy to fold down
- compact when folded
- not outrageously expensive
- is a good height for my tall husband.
We've been really pleased with the Snap 4 and our baby has always been very happy in it. He sleeps well in it when it reclines, and when it's upright he can look out at the world even with the hood fully extended to protect him from the sun.

Have been using the valco snap 4 for about 16 months. Very impressed. It does everything we need it to: easy fold, light weight, the back goes up straight (as opposed to the steelcraft agile which doesn't seem to be able to go completely upright), good large sun canopy and a big basket. The brake is easy to use (one step control).
Possibly the only con I will note is that it seems the material can get a bit hot. So will need an insert of some sort in summer to help baby stay cool.
Not a big issue for us and all in all its great we love it!
light, easyfold, big basket, large sun canopy, cheap

I was looking for something light-weight, with a one-handed fold, that still reclined fully and was manoeuvrable. I am so impressed, and for the price you pay, you get a lot! The unexpected benefit was the expand-a-hood canopy, which combined with the infant booty, sheltered my baby completely from the sun's rays so I went the whole summer without having to apply sunscreen...it still allowed him to look around happily. Very happy with this purchase.
lightweight, one-handed fold, great canopy, easy to manoeuvre, fully reclinable, inexpensive
foot-rest doesn't stay up, limited space in basket
We're so glad you're happy with your Snap 4! It's a fantastic product - Enjoy :)
I was in the market to purchase a new pram/stroller for my 1 year old son. I have a Steelcraft Strider Compact which has been fantastic throughout my sons first year. However, I was looking for something lighter and easy to unfold for ducking in and out of shops quickly and general everyday use. I had a list of features I was looking for and this pram seemed to meet all of these ideals. This included:
- light weight, making it a delight to push a s well as easy to carry around by hand of over your shoulder. It is even light enough to throw ove...

A light weight transporting machine!!! I hung 20kg of grocery at the back and it didn't tip over.
This pram is highly recommended. I had a steelcraft reverse handle stroller, and this one is so much better in every way. First, it is only 6.5kg, I can lift with one arm and it folds so small that it leaves room for grocery, and I drive a tiny nissan micra. When I had the steelcraft, I can't even fit the nappy bag in the trunk after I put the pram in. The amazing thing about this stroller is that it is compatible with my steelcraft unity baby capsule.
It has a huge hood and the material is water resistant and dries easily. I remember my stee...

I own a Mountain Buggy Terrain and later purchased the Valco Snap 4 when I discovered I needed a compact and light weight pram for keeping in the car and taking to the shops. This pram is brilliant, it is so light, folds away so easily and relatively small, has a massive storage compartment under the seat, fully reclines for small babies, a huge extendable sun canopy, turns so easily, very sturdy and durable wheels and smooth ride for the bub. As a small trade off for having such a light weight pram it is not ideal for hanging bags on the back ...

Lightweight, durable, folds easily and compact, affordable Nothing! We love the Snap 4! We briefly used another pram recently and went back to the Snap 4 because it is super lightweight, easy to fold, plenty of room left in the car boot. It is amazingly easy to manoeuvre in shopping centres so you don't end up getting in other shoppers ways. If bubs is grumbly it is so light to push along while carrying baby. The hood comes down quite low so we've had no issue with sun coming in when taking walks. The only issue we have is that the handle is not reversible so bubs can't face us which is why we briefly had to us...

Lightweight, easy to push and use, size efficient Does not have reversible handleFor 9 months I have loved and recommended this pram, citing choice's review against the new standards. That is until I learned the hard way of how the valco baby snap 4 got its name!

I have found the Snap 4 great so far and my babes is 3 months. It's very lightweight and easy to manoeuvre which is good for me when my little one prefers to be in my arms walking around the shops.. The extendable hood is perfect for keeping out all light however I would recommend the deluxe booty cover (if you have a winter baby) and the regular booty cover for use indoors. The basket is hard to reach when fully reclined but I just avoid the need to get anything out when bubs is sleeping. I also purchased the Maxi Cosy capsule which easily fits on, the brackets are easy to clip in and you don't have to remove when you fold the pram. Overall very happy!!
Easy to use
No reverse handle but I had to compromise on something..

This pram is great as is is really light and easy to use, and really compact. It folds in half and there is loads of room left in my car boot I can do the weekly shop no worries. It folds so that the part baby lies in is on the inside and it stays nice and clean unlike the Baby Jogger City Mini which folds with the inside facing outwards. We couldn't decide between this and the bigger prams like the Uppa Baby Alta and Baby Jogger and SteelCraft that are reverse handle with bucket seats. Hubby basically made the decision as it only weighs 6.8k...
Read moreg he said he didn't want me struggling with a huge pram when out and about on my own. It turns out that those other brands are much more expensive and their bucket seats aren't suitable for newborns so you have to buy a bunch of accessories on top of the $700 for the basic pram. I paid about $320 for this pram and not much more to get the Valco accessories and make it nice and cozy for baby (VeeBee Allsorts snuggler, Infant Bootie, and you can get soft bassinets too). I love how the expanding hood covers bub right up and with the infant bootie accessory it makes it nice and dark and cosy for naps. The hoods and bootie come in different colours that you can glam things up, but I don't think they would make it as dark as black which blocks out all sunlight. I also like that the pram will grow with bub as it is also suitable for toddlers. The basket underneath fits my nappy bag but it is a little hard to get it in and out especially with bub in the reclined seat. Also it is not possible to do reverse handle which is the biggest negative, but if you use a car capsule for your baby it will attach with the adapter and then it is like rearward facing, but we didn't do this. Inexpensive, lightweight, easy to push, clean close, huge expandable hood makes it nice and dark for naps, can take capsule with adapter, lots of colours and accessories available Doesn't have reverse handle, basket hard to get to when fully reclined, need a snuggler and infant bootie or bassinet to make it cosy and comfy for a newbornGreat pram, so light, easy to manoeuvre, opens and shuts with 1 hand, folds down very compact, my 2 year old and new bub both fit it perfectly! Have even been able to jog with it, great range of accessories to personalise the pram! This is my 4th pram and my last! Just fantastic!
Everything! Excellent, excellent !
It wasnt available with my 1st
Just wondering if you can help me? When you say you are able to jog with it, does it handle it well? I'm wanting a pram I can walk/exercise with. Thanks :)

this pram is very very light, so easy to use and takes up relatively small boot space. We were looking at prams 3 times the price until we found this one (it has JUST come out when we bought it), and have loved it ever since. It would be nice to have an easier accessible basket.
Smooth steering, large canopy, folds up great, extremely light, amazing price.
Basket a bit hard to reach, not stable when hanging a heavy bag on the back.

I originally have a steelcraft agile, which works great with a newborn together with the travel system. As my son grow, now close to 1 years old, he wants to sit right up which the agile just can't do. My top criteria when looking into a new pram were: light and compact, easy to fold, easy to steer, large canopy, can sit right up and lie down flat, large shopping basket, not too expensive of course & a safe seat buckle! (The agile one broke, which is a known problem). So the valco baby snap pram ticked all the boxes for me, used it for the seco...

Only complain I have is that the basket is not the easiest to reach and when baby lie flat, there is no foot rest, legs just dangle down, but it is not a deal breaker for me. My son just rest his legs on the front bar, and he looks so comfortable sleeping in it. Highly recommend this product if you are looking for something within this price range! Smooth steering, large canopy & basket, sit right up, very light and fold up nicely Basket a bit hard to reach, no footrest, no accessories comes with the purchaseThis pram has been the answer to all my problems! I had the strider DLX which I hated. Far too big and heavy. Only really good for walking. After having my second child I was wanting a light weight pram that wasn't too big and bulky. The snap 4 is all that and more! So easy to use and manoeuvre. Love the reclining seat and extended hood. Wish this was around when I had my first baby. Great value for money too!
inexpensive, great size, very light and looks great! love love love this pram!
I'm a normal fussy everyday mum who has two children, 3 yrs & bouncing off walls and a 9 mth old. I needed something quick to fold/unfold, safe, light, strong and importantly with the greatest shade - eg extended hood! Bingo! Ditch the big heavy pram, you will love it. :) very very happy mum!
Extended hood - no wind or sun getting in!! Not heavy like a pram and not flimsy like a stroller - but a strong and light combination if both!! Folds/unfolds quickly and takes little room in boot.
This pram is light, easy to fold, folds flat and is a travel system that clips the capsule in which is a life saver! The pram width is small so it glides through shops where other prams can't fit. The hood is big and you can purchase new ones in different colours. It is cheap for what it is. I purchased a big $600 pram that took up all of my boot and couldn't fit in the smaller second car. I couldn't handle the lack of space anymore and found this. I am in love. It has big wheels that travel well off road and they can clip off which help...

I researched and read so many reviews about prams. I wanted one that could be used from newborn age to 4 years old so it needed good head height and a deep seat. This pram is perfect as it lays flat and has mesh along the back so the breeze can flow through when it's hot. It folds down so easily and snaps shut so it's easy to move and there is a strap so it can be carried over the shoulder. The hood is huge too and the storage under the pram is easy to access.
