Viano Full HD TV (page 5 of 6)

This is a cheap TV. I did not expect too much from it as it was not going to be watched much at our holiday home. The picture was fair as was the sound. It clearly was a waste of money as it just stopped working in mid viewing. Not worth repairing because of the cost. I do expect cheap products to work at least for a few years. No more Vianos for me.

I have purchased two viano tvs, one for myself and one for my Mother. My Mothers was the first to go ' black screen' still sound, but no picture. Than a year later mine has done the same thing. These were both large tv's, over $1500 dollars spent. I don't think anyone would buy a tv if they knew it would only last two years. Now i have the problem and inconvenience of sorting this out just before christmas. NOT HAPPY JAN !!!!!!!!

Absolute crap, TV channels have stopped working. Remote doesn't work any more. Buttons on back of TV don't work. When I do get it to work, the picture freezes. Screen goes pink and fuzzy. $$$ down the drain. Shame on Big W for selling this junk to their customers. When I approached Big W they didn't want to help and said contact the supplier (Viano) who tried to dodge the bullet in every single way. I'm stuck with a worthless junk.

Satisfactory picture, tinny but good enough sound, enough ports, usb playback (most compression formats work and you learn which file types not to download quickly, haven't tried the dvd player. Remote plasticy but usable. Menus easy enough to navigate. TV guide function hopeless and hard to get to. Overall satisfied for the money paid ($199 from BigW)

I have had mine from big w for 3 years has been nothing but perfect in every way. Thinking about the smart one now if they are as good thats the way ill go.cant understand why others are having problems. .it seems to me not many bother to write reviews unless they are unhappy.give credit where its due.

Not very happy only 8 months old and started smelly like it was fire in the back of tv and right side of tv went very dark compared to the other. Had my 5 month old son in his bouncer in front of tv and I was hanging washing on line when I came back inside I noticed it. I unplugged it and havent used it since. Put in garage. I don't have a receipt as it was a Christmas present from my parents and they have missed placed the receipt

Worst sound of any tv ever. Screen pixilated when anything moves on screen . However ive had it almost 12 months lost receiots on day i bought it . But have payment reicept on card from bank n book big w manager will exchange ..hopefully no more problems..hopefully all ok this time

Screen goes black could hear sound but now nothing. Not sure if repairable or cheaper to dump.
I am really disappointed as I rely heavily on my TV for entertainment given I am bedridden. What does one do it is quite a dilemma.

Bought this tv 3 weeks ago now the screen goes black every 5 seconds, can still hear the sound but picture keeps going black! Rang big w and the don't do refunds

Bought 60 inch full HD from Big W and had it less than a month and it would lose sound and screen would go blue. Can turn it on with remote but have to turn it off at PowerPoint. Today the screen is pink. Not happy, Do not buy, want a refund.

Didnt get 5 minutes turned on before the screen would go black. Could still hear everything but nothing happening on the screen. Unbelievably horrible, bought from BigW, too late to call so calling tomorrow and getting a refund or something, can't believe it didnt even last the night. Viano you need to get yourselves sorted this is shocking

I purchased this TV to use in my caravan, and it hasn't let me down, it has worked perfectly with no problem at all, it was purchased at K.Mart in Ringwood at a very reasonable price, and Im very happy with it, I have travelled over NSW and Victoria with it in my van.

This tv is absolutely horrible don't even bother!!! It works with absolutely nothing, one second the picture is black and white then the sound stops working. I am very angry ughhhhh. I don't even know how it got into stores, it's the worst brand ever, such a waste of hard earned money!

Both [name removed] & [name removed] are pure IDIOTS! It's been an entire MONTH since my initial contact with these two incompetent idiots who were advised in the very beginning that this TV I have is obviously no longer under warranty and that I required assistance with finding someone in our area to fix our TV. A MONTH later their question is "How can I help you?" Upon asking for their Manager their reply was "I don't know their name" are you DUMB! Yes! Idiots! Don't buy Viano! This TV was gift to my Son.

Had our TVs less than 6 months when turned off it loses all the channels have tried everything it's not the antenna as other tv works fine ... Crap tv wasted A thousand dollars just spent 2 hrs trying to get it tuned but no luck.... What... I'm going to consumer affairs purchased at Big W

I bought a 3D viano tv cheap on gumtree for $400 new in the box I was sceptical for the money however amazing picture awesome value for money I'm a electronics tech by trade and I can honestly say the General quality across the board is impressive for the money compared to a lot of tvs I've had over the last 4 years including a new ultra high def 4K set all big name brands this is even comparable to the sets I've spent $3000 / $4000 on living proof you don't always have to spend huge $$$$ to get a great result thank you viano Sydney Australia and sorry to the people who had a bad experience but I find it ironic that most if not all the negative feedback came from big w purchases maybe just a bad batch

I haven't got anything to say I have not had anything wrong with mine one it is fantastic nice and clear on the screen they are really cheap I paid $400.00 for mine one so I recon you should get out and go buy one you will do good by Benny

Bought the 49 inch from Big W, should have clicked when it was the only TV not on display going, terrible picture, poor definition, staff assured me it was a great TV, hoping to return it as I believe its not fit for purpose, spend the money on a recognised brand, if people stop buying this Chinese rubbish, Big W will stop selling it.

Had no trouble with mine, Only negative would be The Sound when u turn sound up to listen to music but o bought a surround sound so happy with it for the price, easy to use as in menu etc, good to see they have different sizes. And I like the stand it sits on as even some expensive tvs have ugly stands

Yep I took a chance on Viano and I regret It now. Bought from BIG W. Sound went within 2 weeks. Big w won't refund. They said to call Viano repair shop that is not local and they didn't have a number for that even. If a service man deems it Unrepairable then they will need a ticket to refund money. I don't want a replacement. I want a refund. Crap brand and the companies who sell them are crap too

I brought 1 year ago a Viano television for my son as a Christmas present and as of 3 days ago he cant watch tv without the picture screen going black he then has to wait sometime for 24 hrs before the picture will come back on, I haven't got the docket for it now so what do i do.

I brought my tv from big w and it worked good at first within a couple of weeks it started to turn off when was a sleep or watching a movie and it was so annoying and it also kept turning on by its self. at the end of it i smash it because it's really bad

I purchased my Viano LEDTV47FHD from BigW and within a few weeks the remote went kaput. BigW demanded I return the whole TV for repairs, and not to expect it back for at least six weeks - at the earliest. Reason given, there was a very large backlog of other Viano's in the pipeline waiting to be repaired. Can't buy a new remote from the importer - all out of stock - and not one generic remote will work with it. Thus, it is effectively an expensive slab of pixelated plastic sitting on the TV stand. Never again Viano and BigW!

I see a lot of unhappy customers here. I bought my screen Christmas last year and we have no problem With it. Of course I was a bit hesitant when I bought it because I'm not familiar with the brand but I'm glad I did. With three young ones running around banging on the screen, drawing etc it still works fine. I would recommend this to anyone. It's cheaper than the big brand and still works the same

I got a call today saying they (not sure if that means Big W or Viano) have replaced the TV in any case it is a miracle (Xmas) & I have picked up the TV & will see how this one performs, anyway I would like to thank Big W Mackay, great service!
