Is there an upgraded gearbox for the latest model this year?
This has been a problem in the past
Give General Transmissions the flick and find another gearbox source. Steel used in axles is poor and what the engineer was thinking by drilling out the axle and using a roll pin to secure the axle in the transmission is anybody's guess. Weakens axle strength and won't handle any shock loading - which is inevitable with a lawn mower. Leave the heavy duty commercial side to Honda Toro and Kubota . They know what their doing.
How many variations in gearboxes have been fitted to the Mulchmaster 560s. Each time I've replaced them each one has been different. Is this an admission that the transmissions have never been fit for purpose to start with.
I am after a Victa MSV 567 self-propelled mower, and have been told to wait until July when a new model or variation is to be released. Can anyone tell me what that is and any changes there will be?
Victa have fitted at least 3 different transmissions to their Mulcchmaster range and none, so far, have solved the problem. Gearboxes are too light duty and only suited to lighter residential mowers. Having replaced all three type boxes in the last 5 years I'm hoping for a better run with the latest type gearbox. Having said that, they are east to replace but at $200 a go it's becoming an expensive proposition. I only persist because the rest of the mower is stillas new and does everything asked of it.
Is their a spring that holds the plate with the two little wheels that the belt goes through to provide tension for the speed of the self propelled msv566 Honda slasher mower if you can send a picture of the assembly that would be fantastic [email removed]
What is the correct ratio of oil to fuel? Have bought a second hand one and keep getting it wrong.
Hi.I have the 550 2 stroke Victa motor (around 15 years old now) on my mower. I think the newer versions now have a Briggs and Stratton engine.- the petrol to oil ratio is 25:1. This is usually stamped on the fuel cap on the petrol tank that is strapped to the handles of the mower. Regards, Paul
