Lifestyle dependent
I owned a vitamix briefly. It was brilliant for blending and achieving amazing creamy texture. If you are the type who drinks lots of smoothies, then this is for you. I don’t find it particularly helpful as an extremely expensive blender. I upgraded to a thermomix and was much happier due to the heating, weighing, cooking, steaming functions.

Fantastic! Highly recommend!
We use this blender on a daily basis for smoothies, making pie crumble and gravy etc.! It churns out a smooth, consistent liquid. One of the best investments in our kitchen! I've filled it with the top with fruit and greens (spinach, lemon, apples, lettuce) and it makes the smoothest green smoothie - great way to get the greens in and save money from buying smoothies outside. Previously I've tried using other blenders for this (Breville and Magic Bullet), but often the smoothie would have chunks of unblended greens or fruit - greatly diminishin...Read more
g the experience. ;) We once had a problem with the jug leaking, and Vitamix service centre was pleasant to deal with and sent a replacement jug that arrived within the week. It comes with a 10 year warranty too!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Well built power horse!
I bought this machine about 7 years ago from the UK Costco. My sister-in-law had mentioned it and then a saw an impressive demo at Costco. My wife was sold on it.
It is a great blender, very strong and reliable. It is very noisy but it spins incredibly fast. As well as obvious things like soups and smoothies, you can make nut butters and flour. There is also an almost cult following on this machine too, and websites on Vitamix specific recipes etc...
However, a few years later my other sister-in-law was in the market for a similar blende...Read more
r and found a few other options including an Australian blender that i believe is just as good and about half the price. So you are paying for the brand also. It does come with a very long warranty. This is a great example of a quality product that really lasts years. It the time of my purchase there were only a handful other powerful blenders e.g Blendtec, but now there are a lot more to choose from. So although i am very happy with the product, i would probably buyer a cheaper and equally as good imitation. If money was no concern, id buy it again.Similar opinion? A beast
This thing will handle everything you throw at it. I mean we tried it all from full oranges to Apple's to ice to peaches to plums to lemons and it just ate thethem up. It sure is noisy though but I think you have to deal with that right. Great buying if you can afford

Frankly I’m not convinced it’s worth the money
This is a big blender and frankly I expected more.i find it seems to struggle with my morning smoothies. These are only a couple of ice cube fruit, often bananas and spinach and some milk.
I often have to stop it and reorganise the contents.
It’s pretty noisy too.
The size and appearance are impressive but not sure it’s worth the hefty price tag!

Works well but very noisy
We purchased Vitamix Total Nutrition Centre together with an extra dry jar to grind nuts and seeds. It is a very powerful blender and we have used it extensively. Great for blending soups and making large qualitites of smoothies and shakes. The only issue is it is very noisy.

Didn't use to potential
Very solid blender, able to blend fruit smoothies by only chopping the fruit in large pieces and also frozen fruit.
Very handy to quickly make smoothies and juices but it also has potential to cook foods, tried once with a pumpkin soup, was terrible..

Wonderful powerful blender backed by great customer service
After my old Taiwanese blender died trying to blend a frozen veggie smoothie, decided to invest in this Vitamix Blender mainly on the basis of the 7 year warranty and motor.
Since purchase I've been very happy with the performance of it - whilst a bit noisy on the high setting, it has no problems at all blending even solid frozen items like whole beetroot, and getting to a very fine and creamy texture within 30 seconds. Also has no problem with nuts - eg almonds, walnuts etc. It is also stable on the base, and doesn't move around on the ki...Read more
tchen top like my old blender. Cleaning is simple using the blend function, and the 2L jug that comes with it is more than enough to handle smoothies for a few people in the family. A slight minor issue is that you need to start at speed 1 and go to 10 and switch to high yourself, within the first few seconds, but that's not a big deal once you get used to it. PS - Vitamix customer service is great, I asked a question about how to blend frozen veggies and they were able to answer it in a call really quickly. Overall, expensive but more than worth the investment for the long term.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

My Vitamix.
I am still learning that my Vitamix does everything. I love it for smoothies, ice cream making, I make hot soups and so much more. I really know now that you don't need all the other things to run a house. It is a bit expensive, but well worth the money.

Use daily, love it.
100% satisfied with my Vitamix. It will blend anything perfectly. I make smoothies daily.
Very reliable and sturdy, doesn't rattle around when switched on.
Also I find it's a great size, doesn't take up too much room on the counter.

Perfect purchase
This is the best blender available
Even the most fibrous foods are blended to perfection.
Absolutely cannot do without this it’s a family favourite for all types of smoothies & dips.
It’s certainly well built and stable even on the highest speed although it is quite loud.
Due to height I like to leave it set upon the bench as it’s annoying to have to store.
The extra things you can do with this appliance is endless & I have many things to still explore but am extremely happy with this appliance :))

Great blender but expensive
Love the blender but not sure it’s worth the price tag. Haven’t used the warm soup function much which was of interest to me when I made the purchase. Pulverises well

I have been following Vitamix recipes but am struggling to get same results? My husband attempted to blend a sambal last night and he ended up getting out an old cheap blender (Russell Hobbs) to finish the job. I've also struggled with blending pesto. I had to continually stop the machine and spoon the mixture around. again I got frustrated and gave up after 4 attempts. what are we doing wrong? smoothies no drama, but even ice cream has been tricky. I've had the machine for a month and I'm seriously thinking to take it back because I just don't want great smoothies :(
