Upside down Fridge a Dream
My westinghouse upside down is the best thing i purchased in white goods,
It runs silent no noises keeps to right temperature that it is set at.
Very easy to clean also the stainless steel look takes some beating.
It gives my kitchen a real renovation look as the style and looks all fall into place.

This is perfect
It is good. Not too loud and easy to clean in side specially for the fruit section. It keeps vegetables and fruits keeps fresh and last longer which is good advantage for me. Doesn't go off easily. Also stainless steel is easy to clean from finger prints. Big enough storage room.

Excellent fridge
Had this fridge for around 4 months now and have not found any issues yet. Plenty of room to held every thing we eat regularly. Very good performances and food seems to be staying fresher than ever. Very easy to control the temps. Would highly recommended for a family of 4 to 5 people.

GREAT FRIDGE BUT NEEDS MORE SPACE
I love my new fridge although it is a bit too tall on the first compartment and I would prefer more space but unfortunately, I am limited by the width in my kitchen. It is very quiet and seems to be doing a good job. I would also like the door to be able to close by itself and the wine rack is an excellent idea.

Surpassing expectations
In the 6 months we've had it so far the Westinghouse has surpassed expectations.
It was reviewed fairly favourably by Choice Magazine, and was available at a VERY good price through Appliances Online which swayed the purchase.
It is replacing a similar sized 12 year old Fisher & Paykel and has initially impressed by its quietness and easy to clean stainless steel door which doesn't seem to particularly attract finger prints.
The impressive thing about the fridge is the evenness of temperature through the fridge compartment. Once set the temperature seems to remain constant through the year also.
Also impressive is the quality of the glass shelves and drawers in the freezer.

Keeps stuff cold, easy to clean
This fridge keeps a nice consistent temperature (verified with a thermometer cos I'm a nerd). It's easy to clean the shelves and doors. I like that the freezer has drawers to keep things organised easily.
The temperature gauge takes a bit of getting used to since it's not very intuitive, but once you set it you basically don't need to touch it again.

Some good features, but very noisy; left-opening version has a design flaw
I've had the left-handed version of the WBE4500 for nearly a year now, and it's proven to be a good fridge for a family of 5/6 (adults and teenagers). It is very noisy though, and it seems to have gotten noisier over time. It has a loud buzzing noise whenever the compressor's running. I've been meaning to call Westinghouse about this re. warranty, but from the other reviews here it seems par for the course.
The left-hand version has a design flaw: the temperature controls are positioned inside the main compartment on the right. Pretty much e...Read more
xactly where you your arm or hands brush against them when getting stuff in and out of the fridge. On the right-hand opening version these controls would be sheltered by the door, they were clearly too lazy to move the controls for the left-handed version.Similar opinion? Westinghouse fridge
We bought a new Westinghouse fridge recently and it required servicing with some new parts to maintain the correct temperatures, it is now working OK and a good product for the discount price we paid at Harvey Norman Outlet shop at the Gold Coast Queensland. It is a good quiet efficient fridge.

Excellent Fridge
I purchased this fridge for our holiday house so I needed a fridge that wasn't too large but would still hold quite a bit for the busy holiday times.
I also needed a fridge that was left hand opening so it could open towards the wall as it's a small space. Most fridges out there are only right hand opening.
The fridge looks good it's streamline looking relatively quiet. Good lighting inside, decent size crisper. The freezer is also a reasonable size for a 450L fidge. I have had the fridge for about 10 months and so far would not hestitate recommending it. This is our second Westinghouse fridge.

Works perfectly
maintains temperature well and is extremely quiet when it runs. Easy for me to clean. There is also a light on the inside which makes it good for seeing things up the back, especially at night. The Fridge is also stylish from the outside and it also magnetic, so that I can hang all my photos on the otuside

Noisy
Good fridge but noisy. It is noisier than my old 15 years westinghouse 450L bottom mount. My little one, 10 years is complaining the noise too. I checked the noise today, compressor noise is acceptable. The noise is coming from the compartment above the compressor. I am going to check with the supplier tomorrow. Hope to get some feedback and will update here.

needs a slide on the crisper draw
looking a buying this fridge but the only thing that ruled in out was that it didn't have a telescopic slide on the crisper draw. all other features are great so if it is possible to get a telescopic slide fitted on the crisper draw by westinghouse or someone after buying it that would be great to know?

Love my fridge!
UPDATE: I've had this fridge since January. It's now May. No issues at all, I've redone all the shelving, taken out the wine tray to make more room but it does hold soda water bottles too which is really handy. Love how well lit it is and it's so quiet I don't even know it's running!
UPDATE: 3 months on - I'm still loving this fridge. VERY quiet, perfect size for up to 3 people and also busy parties as it fits a lot of alcohol if needed, freezes food very quickly with the 'quick freeze' option, I love the lights inside as they make it very e...Read more
asy to find what I need, fits a lot of food, fruit and veg drawer is fine for me and I still find it easy to pull out and push back in and honestly I just love the look of it! I've had the fridge since last Saturday and absolutely love it. It survived a very busy house warming party on it's first day in our house, no finger marks to be seen even though it's stainless steel. With plenty of door opening action going on! Love my wine rack, heaps of room for fruit/veg in the crisper and unlike others I have no issues pulling it out/putting it back in. Never gets stuck but then I'm very careful with my things and don't try to jam drawers in. Even when full I have no issues. The freezer is brilliant especially the quick freeze option if my partner needs his beers to get cold quickly. So far so good! I do think it would be too small for a family though, there's only two of us so it suits us perfectly but honestly I'd be buying the 530L if I had kids. Will update my review in a few months time :)Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Not a great start but seems ok now.
My wife did a lot of research but the fridge delivered to us never went cold - a new one was delivered 2 days later by Bing Lee and that replacement one works fine - has loads of room inside and the stainless finish is great. My wife however is immediately unimpressed with a crisper drawer that is too small in width, so it easily jams if you try to close it with one hand and is very annoying. I can see that being a massive pain in the future - so much so that I might pull it out and try to manually add some rails to it so that it slides better. I will likely complain to Westinghouse about that design flaw as it should never have made it to production. The wine rack is neat and it looks awesome.

Does this fridge come with a left hand side option?

I have seen a left-hand option, but from memory it was a few hundred dollars dearer than the standard right-hand one. Still loving the fridge, by the way.
Thanks, I think it's worth the investment then!!
I have the left-hand version of this fridge (model WBE4500SALH; the "LH" presumably means Left Hand). The left-hand version does have a design flaw: the temperature controls are positioned inside the main compartment on the right. Pretty much exactly where you your arm or hands brush against them when getting stuff in and out of the fridge. On the right-hand opening version these controls would be sheltered by the door so wouldn't get changed accidentally.
