Yes, there is a button to turn the fan on and off. There is no indicator light, but you can tell it is on by the button depressed detant, and the sound of the fan. May not be good for older people who may not be able to discern these factors.

Yes, it is. It works very well to help the food cook evenly. My oven light stays on during operation no matter how low I've set the temperature. This is handy as I can see whether I've left the oven on after I've finished baking.

Yes, it is fan forced. I have since got used to every so often having to use the gas gun to light a jet. I also have got used to the stove top layout. Maybe I was a little harsh in my original judgement and probably should have given it another star or 2.

We've had this problem with some of the burners. My husband pulled the knobs out a little which seems to alter the connection. If it's under warranty and won't stay on even if you hold the knob for a few seconds I would get them out to modify it. We had to have a serviceman out shortly after installation because the wok burner wouldn't stay lit and he made some simple alteration. It's very annoying and a poor reflection on Westinghouse that such a crap design made it onto the market.

Sorry - mine has an electric grill but sometimes the gas burners on top have to be lit with either a match or a gas gun. I recommend contacting your installer to re-adjust the griller jets.

Yes, my stove does protrude - actually by about 120ml, (around 4 3/4 ins) if the oven door handle is also included.
I live in a very old house and just having my existing benches refinished and a new stove put in was a bonus for me - I don't mind that the stove isn't flush with the bench tops. As to why it was designed that way is maybe because there is a trend towards deeper, more spacious benches these days? Although I haven't had the stove for 12 months yet, I'm very happy with its actual performance so far.

My stove protrudes 4cm from the benchtop. I've never thought about it looking strange, perhaps because I've only got cabinets on one side - the other side is the doorway into the family room. I like the oven, which seems more 'gentle' than a regular fan-forced. You can have the fan on or not as you choose, which doesn't dry the food out as much. Very nice for roasts. The gas jets on the cooktop, however, are the bane of my existance. The built in safety feature, which I think is universal now for gas jets, means you have to hold the knobs on for a few seconds or the gas goes out. VERY frustrating.

I haven't had any experience with this model but it appears to use the same gas electronic ignition system so I suspect it would also be a problem. I use a gas gun most of the time.
The oven temperature seems to be lower than indicated but will not affect you as yours will be electric. It is also difficult to turn the gas jets down sufficiently to simmer properly.

I'm sure that model will have the same issues with the cooktop as mine. Most (maybe all) gas stoves now seem to have the safety feature where you have to hold the knob for a few seconds after ignition or it won't stay lit. When the oven is in use the knobs become uncomfortably hot to hold on. It's probably due to lack of insulation because of cheap manufacture. The electric oven may make it even hotter than mine because it's fan-forced, whereas the gas oven is fan-assisted - gentler fan and able to be turned off. The temperature of the gas oven runs a bit low but I do like the way it cooks roasts etc.

I'm cooking on one right now as it happens. It is coming up to a year since we bought this model, and since I am in the market for a dishwasher at the moment, I notice that generally people only post bad reviews, so I had decided to write a review. We have been happy, although we had the service guy out in the first week as the timer didn't work. It had to be replaced. Interestingly, there is a window of only a week when parts and travel are covered. If we had left it, we would have had to pay for the travel. Anyway, oven is good. Electric grill is slow to heat when you are used to a gas one. We mainly use the gas top rather than the oven so I am not going to say that it is great - I don't really know. I do know that you don't need a million different types of oven functions. Another thing - installation was expensive. Separate electrical work, and even with existing gas supply, the plumber cost a bomb. He decided that our LPG tank needed a new regulator. It would be good if you could get a price for installation from your supplier if possible. Good luck - buying a new appliance is a pain.
