Unfortunately after 60 years the switches were failing, the large burner wouldn't work, spares were unobtainable so I had to buy something new. ;-(
The WLE525WB was cheap and had all the tried and true features of my old New World unit... except it was fan forced ONLY. Everyone said "fan-forced is wonderful" except my mother who warned me...Read more
against it. There was little real choice though so I bought it. The first unit that arrived had a factory damaged oven door surround making it useless, so back it went. It is not a good look for a company when obviously faulty units are passed by QC and sent out. Thanks Thailand! The second unit had some minor factory damage to the rear but since that was not visible I let it go and had it installed. I did notice that the steel was considerably thinner than the old New World which was built to last! Everything worked, the unit looks fine and the price was right BUT things didn't work as well as they did on my old New World:Purchased in March 2021 at Bi-Rite Electrical Physical store for A$739.00.
