Disappointed
I have owned two Westinghouse Dishwashers previously over many years and was extremely happy with both of them so when I recently moved interstate and had to buy a new one, I didn't hesitate to buy another Westinghouse.
That has proven to be a disappointing decision as it turns out. This dishwasher was purchased and installed early November 2016. Within 4 weeks, an internal part fell off and I could not work out where it had come from. I called for service and to their credit, Westinghouse service is quite efficient in terms of the process....Read more
They seem to be able to come out within a week or so which isn't too bad although a little quicker would be nice but I guess they're busy! The serviceman came out and replaced the part, no problem and conceded it should not have come off but implied this model was not made as well as previous ones (great!). About 8 weeks later, I had cause to call service again as the rinse aid dispenser appeared to be leaking thus I was going through quite a bit of rinse aid. The same gentleman attended again and again, the process was very efficient. He took a look and while it was repairable, offered me a brand new replacement to spare me any further inconvenience. I accepted his offer and he made arrangements for the dishwasher to be replaced. That was at about 3pm in the afternoon. By midday the next day, my new dishwasher was installed. That process was absolutely seamless and so quick I was gobsmacked. When the guys installed the new one, they told me the old one would be dumped. I said it is perfectly repairable, why would it be dumped. He told me Westinghouse has insurance to cover this scenario and the old dishwasher (which was only 3 months old) gets dumped. He told me under their policy, they are not permitted to give it away, repair and resell it or sell it as is. I thought gee, if I'd known that, I would have asked the guy to just repair my old one. Seemed an enormous waste to me.1 comment

Great features, only one flaw.
Have had this for 7 months now. Great range of features including Rinse and Hold, and special button for if you are using a tablet detergent.
It's been reliable and very quiet.
The only design flaw I can see is the layout of the interior racks which means, no matter how you configure all the racks, ( and there are many ways to do it), you will be disappointed with its capacity. Never seems to live up to its rated capacity.
But overall 4 out of 5

Silent rocker
After a lot of research on the internet I chose this over Bosch for two reasons: Price & Stainless steel interior.
It runs noiselessly and cleans pretty well. I put it on 50 min cycle after scrubbing the vessels of hard stains. Fast 30 does not dry vessels some times. Very happy with the machine after about 10 months. The adjustable upper rack is my favourite feature. Only flip side is it does not beep after the wash is done. No regrets buying this and very happy.

A Good Choice
We can achieve a good wash on the fast cycle of 50 mins. Our previous machine took 2 Hr 20 mins. We have also seen a reduction in our power bill. It also came with a bonus of 12 mths supply of Finish dishwashing products.
The machine is extremely quiet, most times we don't know that it is on
We are extrembly happy with our purchase.

This is something else!
I recently bought this dishwasher and it has not disappointed me in any way. My old dishwasher used to make quirky noises and god knows what. It used to leave marks on dishes. I am very happy with the new dishwasher, it's build quality is good and it's quite. I'd recommend it.

Very good and quiet
Have had this dishwasher for around 6 months now and have found it quiet (you sometimes don't know its on), cleans well and I think was good value for money (cost was $695 delivered and old dishwasher removed). Received a $80 customer loyalty offer (cheque for $80 from Electrolux) so cost was only $615. We generally use the 52 minute "quick" cycle with a Finish tablet.

Be wary of comments about Westinghouse / Electrolux Dishwashers (Other Install Problems)
There are a lot of comments on this particular forum about a certain brand. They are usually from users with only one post. Also, there are complaints about Westinghouse / Electrolux not drying dishes. Not one model, but 4-5 models I have come across. i doubt there is a major design fault over such a wide range of dishwashers of one brand. Seems very strange, and they usually mention Bosch is the best. "Should have bought a Bosch" . I have a snesking feeling some people are opening the dishwasher way too eraly for the dishes to steam dry as wel...Read more
l. Maybe we should all re-read our manuals. One last point. Dishwashers need the right power source, new homes have the correct power for the appliance. If the new dishwasher is installed incorrectly on s shared power circuit with an oven or other appliance, it may run for weeks, months, but will eventually begin to error out. Plus most people connect UP into the sink waste. This 500mm high kills dishwashers. As a small amount of dirty water can backwash into the internals of the dishwasher, eventually damaging internal components. New home plumb always plumb directly down to waste. So really, most of these complaints are due from dodgy installations or user errors.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Terrible Dishwasher
Second time using replacement dishwasher after the first one stopped working after 1week same problem. The start button would not activate. Power would come on but go off as power button would not stay on. Worked intermittently before stoping all together. New replacement second wash took three attempt to get it to work. Very angry. Also brand new still came out of new boxes with dents on the inner door. Replacing a dishwasher that worked perfectly for 7yrs. Rubbish. Never a Westinghouse again.

Sparkling Wine Glasses
Cleans and dries very well - better than a previous more expensive model from a different brand.
Also much quieter.
Time Saver wash is the most economical (both power wise and water usage) according to the manual.
This is the only cycle I have used, and does such a great job I have not tried the other selections.

WSF6606X
We have just purchased a WSF6608 Dishwasher. We have not been able to use it as every time we’d turn it on it comes up with the F5 error. Very disappointed. This is despite checking every hose and making sure of everything it says in the manual. Help please?

i have F5 error code coming up on my machine what does this mean?

F5 is a water supply problem. Check the tap is on or if there is an inlet filter after the tap that is blocked.
Hi Vanessa, Did you get this sorted? I have the same prob, wouldn't start a cycle, then i repositioned the inlet hose and it worked again for about 3 washes, but then again F5, plenty of pressure. Rang Electrolux, they suggested I contact the service centre.
