Does not crisp, or brown

published

No crisp roast spuds here... The oven will not crisp anything from vege to pastry. Most things take way longer than the recipe as it seems really slow to cook. Something that should take 20 minutes took an hour and half last night and the result was limp and soggy. Not happy. 6 months old - considering a new oven already! Disappointing that all the houses in our estate have the same terrible oven.

Dissapointed

I agree 100% with the previous reviewer. The oven seems to take forever to heat up. There is a breeze that escapes through the door. The temperature dial does not seem to match up with the temperature of the oven based on my previous ovens. I have only had it two weeks and feel I made a very poor choice buying this oven.

WVE615S oven....... Not great .. doesn't cook well at all.

I have had this oven for a very short time (less than two months) and it doesnt get very hot, takes forever to bake things, does not brown. Have actually raised temp to 200 just to get colour in roast? If over 200 the panel gets so hot its unsafe. Door doesnt seem to seem to seal very well. Bit sad really as I was looking forward to a highly recommended oven according to Choice. Time to contact westinghouse i think.

Hello, Oven and grill elements intermittently turn off then back on during cooking/grilling programs. Temperature drops well below the thermostat limit and food stops cooking.

We have just had a Westinghouse WVE615WC electric oven installed and I cannot find where you see the oven temperature once its reached the temperature you want. Can anyone please help as there is no manual that comes with the oven and the web site tells me nothing helpful, thanks in advance

You only have the dial on the right which selects the temp there is no means of telling when it has reached say 200 C It's guesswork...... dont forget you have to turn the dial on the left before hand otherwise it wont turn on

Thankyou for that information, I was going crazy trying to find something that wasn't there. I've never has an oven that doesn't show the temperature. I assumes they all did. It will teach me to ask more questions next time. once again thankyou for taking the time to answer me. Linda

Hi, I have a 615s oven and have accidentally broken off two of the timer/clock buttons. I was able to find the part number and purchase 2 of them today from Westinghouse online accessories. Now I just need to know how to replace them, can anybody help me out with a quick rundown
Thanx Joe
