I did use the oven for the first time and my tray slides around on it and it also slid towards me and I stopped it with my fingers. I don’t think the shelves are level?
The door looks nearly one Center meter ajar but it is hitting the seal and all the air comes from the door there are so many openings is this the make of the oven?

We have the duo oven. It doesn’t have the telescopic shelves. We can’t get the grill trays to fit into the oven . They seem to be too small for this oven. Any ideas why they are soooo tight.?

The Telescopic Runners, were Extra Add on, I found the Grill tray best stays in the bottom, I use the Bottom oven as A Griller, But if You Need to Grill 2 Trays at Once, use a Tray Not Supplied by Westinghouse is what I do, anything more, just Ask Me. Xxx As I had the same problem.

Had the same problem. Cured by swapping catalytic liners from one side to the other ie they were upside down. Took a long time to figure out as there is no indication of which side the liners go on.

Hi Murray,
I am currently cooking in my oven and my husband and I have checked the surrounding panels and we have no heat on them at all. Even the oven door glass panel is cool as it is double glazed You may have to get it checked. Hope this was helpful.

I am replacing a similar Westinghouse purchased 7 years ago. My existing one only has a function with fan forced cooking, which has been a constant dissatisfaction for ever. Can you confirm this WVE626S has a function to cook without the fan and also with the fan.
also my present one has given my trouble with the thermostat not working satisfactorily even though I have had it replaced once. Do you think this would have been improved on in recent years?

Recently bought this oven and having trouble working out oven settings. In the manual it will for example give the temperature for a roast but not the setting...with base heat, fan bake, bake/pizza etc it's confusing. What would be recommended setting for a roast chicken and roast veg, in a seperate pan. ...no success so far with browning/crisping potatoes. I'm sure it's just a matter of working it out. Appreciate some help!

I have just removed the door to the oven. It is new and this is the first time that I have done this. I lifted the stirrups and pulled the door out however, I didn’t realise that you had to have the door at 45 degrees when pulling it out. As s result the hinges have sprung back to the closed position and I cannot pull them done again. What should I do?

Lexie
Lexie

Yes I had the same thing Happen to Me, as the glass is heavy, once you remove it the doors fly up, You Have To Be Very Careful I found OUT Too, Patience I Used a Cord & wrapped it around the Handle of the Oven, then Attached the other end to the Grill Door Handle then Pulled the oven glass door open, that worked for me, otherwise you need 2 people o do it. Thanks Lexie xxx

I am about to install a 626 S oven and grill. I do not understand the required 20 mm gap required at the bottom rear of the cabinet,. Does that mean leaving the stove proud from the back wall by 20 mm or does it mean I need to cut a ventilation slot 20 mm wide in the back wall of the cupboard?

How do I fit the telescopic runners I have purchased the party pack and can’t seem to fit them

1 answer
Lexie
Lexie

Yes I had the same Problem... Not To Worry, Its Easy to do, You Put the TELESCOPIC SETS ONLY ON THE 2 RAILS ONLY, & On The Top Part of the 2 Rails, so I placed the 1st set on the 1st 2 sided rails on LOWER Rails, then Miss the Middle 2nd Rails, Then Place on Upper 2nd Rail, so you go... ONLY ON The 2 Rails NOT On The 3 Rails, which are in the Centre of OVEN, So Place (3 sets of 2 Rails) ON TOP OF The 2 Rails. So I Did 1st Set of 2 Top, Miss 2nd & Then Go Up to 3rd Top, This Works. But You have to Use their Baking Trays, Other Wise, they slide out of Telescopic As You Pull Forward, this Upset Me, as I had Made Several Phone Calls to Westinghouse to sort it OUT, Wire Racks Are Not designed for TELESCOPIC RUNNER'S If You Use them, Do NOT Pull Wire Racks OUT All the way, as they Come off the TELESCOPIC RUNNERS, the 3rd SET Of TELESCOPIC RUNNERS I USED ON Bottom Oven, On the BOTTOM Row, Always Place the TELEXCOPIC RUNNERS ON the TOP Row of the 2 Rails, Finally.. A TIP, if You place the Telescopic Runners on & Need to Move them, Use the Handle of a KNIFE On the Back Of Telescopic Clip, Press Down Gently, BUT Firmley & they POP Off Better. Hope You Find this Helpfull. Lexie xxx PS Let Me know how you get on. xxx

I have a WVE626S installed recently. Whenever I turn on the upper oven, there's hot air blowing out from the oven at the top of the oven door (above the door handle). The hot air was then heating up the control knobs and the panel.

Is it normal that hot air blowing out from the oven while the it's turned on? Should I get the installer to check the installation? Please advise.
