Terrible customer service - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Very slow to respond (i.e. did not make any contact with me at all for two weeks after a claim was lodged in which my car was a total loss (I was the third party, and my car was totalled while stationary by the WFI policy holder)). Advised me they were unable to take action as excess hadn't been paid ... as the policy holder had seemed very reasonable to me, I called him directly _and was advised he had paid the excess three days previously!_ he even gave me to receipt/invoice number.
No loan car was arranged, despite repeated promises (three times!) to do so.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they're not much better than criminals.

Disappointed
After 8 weeks and two reports declined claim-still waiting for offical report - we only claim because the first mechanic told us it was claimable but second mechanic said it wasn’t?? Obviously keep taking to different places until they get their outcome.

Terrible service.
Here's an open letter, that I also sent to them. It's funny that you can't comment on their Facebook or link them into your comment. My dad was rear-ended by a guy who is insured by them.
To whom this may concern,
I wrote an e-mail on the 16th March 2018 attached with quotes for two mechanics on behalf of my father and have allowed 10 working days for a reply, as I am familiar with insurance claim processes. I have also attempted to call several times and have been left on hold for 20 - 30 minute intervals, before hanging up.

r customer service is atrocious. If there is a delay in processing claims, at least notify us instead of ignoring us. I will attempt to call on again this week. If I do not have a reply by the 6th April 2018, I will be lodging a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman. Regards

Stay far away from WFI insurance company if you don't want to get into trouble
My advice is to stay away from WFI insurance company if you don't want to get into trouble!
I'm very sorry but currently I'm in process of lodging my claim through the Court against one person who drove a car and caused an accident. Despite of the fact the car was insured in WFI (had comprehensive insurance), WFI did not cover all costs (refused to provide me with a replacing car for the time when my car is repaired) As a result of that the driver will be sued and will need to pay me the money I claim (plus Court costs). The money I claim should be paid de facto by WFI .
WFI maybe is cheap but definitely is not reliable a insurance company and is putting people into trouble!

Will they or won't they?
My car (a work vehicle) was hit while it was parked on a Saturday. The other driver gave us their details and lodged a claim with their insurer, who contacted me with a claim number on the following Monday morning. Thank you! So on that Monday morning I lodged a claim online with WFI, with all those details included.
I hadn't heard back by Wednesday morning, so I sent an email asking if they had all the required information. Someone from the call centre rang me a couple of hours later to tell me it takes 24-48 hours to respond to an online c...Read more
laim. I was then told I could give them the information over the phone right then. I asked why I would need to do this if I had submitted it online. They said I could do this, or "sit and wait patiently" for them to process it. That is an actual quote. I took the subtext to be that I was being told to go f$%k myself. We need the vehicle for work and it's now unroadworthy. So f4%k me indeed. It's now Monday the following week and no claim number, after being told on Thursday by the area manager who sold us the policy that it was being "fast tracked". The customer service from WFI is not satisfactory, nor is it good value if you need to have your vehicle repaired and are beholden to their glacial progress in dealing with claims. Will they process it within the 10 business days as per the Insurance Code of Practice? They might, but that still leaves me without a car to drive for about 2 weeks.1 comment

Do not insure with this company!! Waiting 9 months!!
Avoid this company at all costs!! have been waiting 9 months for my car insurance claim to be settled, after I was hit from behind while stationary at a set of lights. My claim is now in the hands of the insurance ombudsman.

Car Claim payout still waiting 2 months
Funny story; my car written off while at repairers and their insurance is with wesfarmers.
The car repairs been helpful chasing these guys initially because they weren't contacting me.
However, assessors took 2 weeks. That seemed to be the biggest holdup.
Then paperwork where I wrote my bank account number wrong. So I'm chasing THEM to be told of the error. I confirmed by email but now its the week before Xmas and told claim won't come through until early January; a two week break.
I chased them again in January which seemed to jog their me...Read more

It's a Rip off insurance and run by bullies
I been involved in an incident that not my fault with a drunk that insured with WFI while the car parked at the front of my house. They are denying the incident event tho I have police report, witness details and the photos. Until about 2 week after they put their act together. Customers service is rude zero quality assurance (actual act are different with what are promised on the website, and advertising), assessor, mechanic, panel beater network is also rip off that only doing half work on anything and run by bunch of bullies. Left us with un...Read more
safe to drive car and seem all of them just want to wash their hands. It take 2 months to get our car back with half work done and unsafe to drive (no break) claim handle and repairer mocking me with my accent, still not fix the car and now they said that I have to fix the car myself that cost us $3000 because they said you pick up the car from the our repairer, and their repairer forcing us to pick up half fix car or will charge us $35/day for storage fee or will leave my car on the side of the road. Don't deal with this company as they and their network are just a rip off artist and bunch of bullies. I wonder why this kind of company still be able to legally operated. So much for the Moto of good people insurance.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

My car was a financial writeoff
Whilst staff are friendly and policies are well priced . From them saying the car is written off its taken 4 weeks to get the money it still isn't in our account we've been told by this Friday the 19 of august it should be there, other insurance companies take one week from the car being written off.

Worst customer service
I spoke to a gentlemen called [Name removed] on 25/08/15 at 4.45 re my car insurance. very bad customer service. I can't believe a person with such a bad attitude work in WFI. He didn't let me finish talking and he was keep cutting me off and raised his voice to me. I asked to talked to his manager but did not transfer me to a manager. That's about the customer service. I have 3 insurance with them, I'm cancelling them all now.

Appalling company to deal with
We had to deal with this company as the other car in an incident was insured by them. They're appalling! Never seem to receive the information we've forwarded multiple times and are now hassling us. Also all communication has an amateur look to it (letters not folded straight, dodgy sticky tape to seal envelope...)

So slow
Dont recommend having your car insuance with WFI. They are so slow with everything. Had a car accident which my claim was a total loss. A normal claims department would take max of 14 days, have found this out after calling 6 other competitors. This company takes months!!!! Plus several months to get a refund on hire car costs. They never call you back, emails never get answered. Still waiting on the National Claims Manager to sort matter out. Still no response after 4 emails to them directly.
It seems they purposely delay any form...Read more

Just a followup, the other insurer, RACQ, has booked us in for assessment and repair this Wednesday. Thank you to RACQ! Still nothing from WFI. I've cancelled the claim request with WFI and will cancelling the policy as well.
