Real feedback!

I purchased a AWN warranty for my car. It was never actually used however a quotation was made and the repairer actually made a fraudulent claim stating that he HAD repaired the car but did NOT.
I asked for a discount for two new polices and they have said no and failed to update me on the refund of the unused policy. I also brought this alleged fraud to their attention and have saved AWN thousands of dollars.

Rang AWN to find out what to do about an air conditioner problem. The contact person was most helpful, referring me to their preferred repairer. Quote sent and approved in a flash. Booked in for repairs which have now been completed. Fantastic.

Outstanding warranty coverage

When Purchasing a secondhand car we were offered AWN warranty Insurance, and did not think for the 3 years coverage was very expensive, so we agreed and took it up. . We have lodged a couple of claims and have been extremely happy with the timing involved with servicing our car problem. So happy we have taken on another 5years of coverage with AWN.

Great Value & Definitely worth it!

published

We brought our car and the dealer had the AWN 12mth Warranty included with the price, already set up for us. So glad it came with it because not even a week later the check engine light came on and it was a O2 sensor that needing replacing. Took it straight to the AWN preferred repairer (recommended by the car dealer) and they dealt with the whole process for me I did nothing but sign for it! The claim got approved within like an hour and they could go ahead with the repairs the next day!
Great value and worth it for sure! AAA+

Great customer service. Very easy to make a claim.

I bought a car with a dealer 2 months ago and AWN insurance came with it. A couple of thousand kilometers into driving the car it had a gearbox issue. I called AWN and they were extremely helpful - they provided me with the closest option for the particular issue in question, they were transparent with what was and wasn't covered, and they were timely in paying out the claim to the mechanic so that I could get my car back quickly.

I had $1,000 approved for a gearbox issue. The issue was more than $1,000 however this was the maximum I could claim on my policy. It certainly helped!

All-in-all the process was very easy and they were all extremely helpful.

AWN INSURANCE is a BRILLIANT company

published

I am so glad I took out warranty insurance with AWN Insurance 11 months ago as it has turned out to be great value for money.

What was initially a negative situation with our car breaking down, quickly became a positive outcome when my claim was assessed & approved within 3 hours of making the initial contact.

The customer service agent from the claims department was amazing to deal with, from start to finish - very professional and personable, as well as informative and swift to action.

This is my first experience with AWN Insurance & I will definitely continue to use them & refer them to colleagues, family and friends.

Quick response and patient staff

A staff called me in two hours after I emailed my claim to them, very quick response.
English is not my first language, I was worried about phone call before I sent the email since I had thought talking about claims and procedures would be very difficult for me to understand. While the truth was that the staff was very patient and explained my questions very clearly. I appreciate it.

Having an AWN warranty for very valuable for me

published

This is my second review for AWN as I've made more than one claim. I had a policy that extended the Hyundai new car policy. My AWN policy was for 3 years. I made several claims during that time. AWN was very prompt each time and they approved all of my claims without delay. This saved me thousands in repairs. The warranty was certainly great value for me.

Hi,
I would like to purchase a X6 BMW, years, 2009 to 2013. I have been advised to look at vehicle warranties which I have done only to find that there is a sealing on the amount they are prepared to pay for a repair. If for example a gearbox on a X6 BMW was to fail $3000 will not be a sufficient amount of money to cover the repair.
Can you help me please with alternatives available

Faizan K.

Faizan K.asked

Hi People,
I just bought BMW 3 series from pickle and they are trying to sell me 5 years extended warranty. The one very rigid term of warranty is that " Car should be serviced each after 6 months or 10k kms which ever comes first. My question is if I don`t do too many Kms in six months and service is not even due then do I still have to go to Dealer and get the service done for no reason. Is it worth it to have a warranty cover if you have to maintain unnecessary record of service in order to keep your warranty and do not want it to be voided.

Please help me to find out whether I should go with warranty or leave it because keeping the warranty up to date cost you as well.

Hi Faizan,
Thank you for the question.
We offer many products and services, these products will differ in coverage options, claim limits and terms and conditions. The service schedule listed in each product type is what is required to be completed to comply with that specific policy. We also list within the policy terms and conditions an additional allowance over and above the required service schedule, please see your policy type for more information. AWN also provides you the flexibility to have your vehicle services carried out at a licensed workshop of your choice, its only when you have a claim related problem we will direct you to an AWN approve repairer..

To help you make an informed decision, the best place to go to do some research on the cover options and review the terms and conditions is our website: go to, www.awninsurance.com.au. You will be able to download and review sample Mechanical Breakdown product documents (PDS).

HI, I was just about to take out your breakdown warranty through pickles when I saw that he conditions included getting the Audi serviced every 10000 kms or 6 months, which is far more frequent than the recommended intervals (15,000 kms and 12 months). also required uploading the invoices for some reason to your WWW site. Can you confirm that the manufacturers recommended servicing is OK?

Hi ken, i dont work for AWN but have had excelent service with them, personally i have no issues with a slightly higher service routine as it only extends the service life of your car and combined with the routine services by audi, its probably only 2 or 3 extra services over the life of the contract. Uploading the service documents only takes a few seconds and can be done from your phone, sorry i can only talk on a personal level, but i found it very handy when a break down actually happens.

Kenn
Kenn

Thanks for that David - very helpful to hear your first hand advice.
I was keen to find out the position of AWN as the requirement (a) exceeds the manufacturer recommended intervals and (b) would result in an extra 5 services each at $400-$800 from Audi. Hopefully AWN will reply and confirm the manufacturer servicing is acceptable
