Wish I read the Reviews. Problem after problem.
We ordered a louvre window for our bathroom. We knew there would be delays but it's now close to 3 weeks past the initial date. Part of the delivery arrived while we were away and was left on the porch, even when we specifically asked for it to arrive when we were home. The communication around deliveries has been appalling, and the delivery date keeps moving. The company does say to book trades after the product has arrived, but booking trades last minute in Sydney is impossible. There is a disconnect between the factory and the sales staff,...
Read more and no one will take responsibility, each blaming someone else. The Wideline contract is a catch all agreement that lets the company do what they please; and quotes are confusing unless you're an expert in what each of their sub-brands actually mean. I specifically requested a security fly screen, yet we received a flimsy one that can easily be removed. I've been told 'SafelineTM' was not on the quote, yet how could I know this & why didn't the salesperson check with me? The whole experience has been stressful and confusing with nothing arriving on time. I just wish I had read all the other negative reviews before I chose this company. Wideline is not at all customer or quality focused, their claim to be 'Best known and trusted window brands in Australia' is a complete fallacy. Avoid at all costs.

Problems at every interaction. Do not recommend.
Delivered wrong doors, damaged on delivery, unable to repair, came to finish glazing with only, 2 out of 5 pieces of glass!

I’m still waiting for glazing (urgent) and repairs to doors that were damaged before they arrived. The transport guy said they were like that when he picked them up from Tuggerah and has photos.
If I can give a negative star rating I would!
Our windows had been delayed by 6 weeks delaying our whole project and incurring significant costs to us. Wideline make you sign their terms and condition me victimising the consumer to accept and pay for their incompetencies in service. There is a huge lack in communication and we had our doors delivered out of ordinary working hours of which were dropped of on the council strip. I would not recommend wideline at all for any type of service.

Horrible Company & Bad Customer Services
Glass shattered within 4 years and Don't care about the law - Not install the safety lock for windows upstairs. When I contacted the company, they didn't want to listen their customers and the only answer to me was not under warranty.

Avoid if possible
Had Wideline aluminium Bi Fold doors installed approx 5 years ago. The doors arrived with numerous missing parts causing the installer to drive to the factory to collect required parts so he could finish the install. Needed a service call within 2 weeks after install to rectify finish problems with the doors which was done to my satisfaction. Recently called Wideline for a service call to replace the key locks which had fallen apart (cheap .Fragile, not fit for use). I was then informed that they don't do repairs any more and was given a phon...
Read moree number for a "door repairer." Needless to say that this was a waste of time as this guy didn't do bi fold doors. I removed the locks and plugged the holes so we now have doors we cannot lock with a key. I have also had a TREND sliding door installed and the quality far surpasses Wideline's product. You might pay a little bit more but in the long term it's worth it.- Incentivised Review No
Hi Tim, we are really sorry to hear that this was your experience with us. Would you mind sending through some more details around your job to [email protected]? Then, we can investigate internally.
Horrible company to deal with.
From the beginning nothing went right. Delivery was wrong. Only one person came with truck so we as seniors had to help unload. Sash window had incorrect weights so wouldn’t stay open and extremely difficult to close. The fly screen which they made for a raw wood window had a batten across the centre which was impossible to paint without pulling out screening and wasn’t even level. Service people came knowing full well they couldn’t make the window fit for purpose as they didn’t have enough parts. If you want to waste a lot of time and have anxiety in your life then use Wideline otherwise be aware, they are horrible to deal with.

Avoid at all costs.
The workmanship and quality is by far the worst in the industry. If your very desperate, even then steer clear. I’m taking them to fair trading now. I wish I had read the reviews, I would have waited a year just to avoid wide line windows. Just don’t do it. Avoid at all costs.

The most disgraceful and dishonest company I have ever dealt with.
By far the worst company I have ever dealt with. To start with the customer service is disgraceful and unethical. Prior to posting this i decided to read the reviews. I wish I’d done this before … Unfortunately it appears our experience is not uncommon and it the MO of not answering or returning calls is standard practice when there is an issue. The sales person and his manger are dishonest and their conduct boarder line fraudulent.

Appalling customer service and total lack of communication.
As a builder for over 40 years - I have never in my life been so dissatisfied with the service of any company as I have been with Wideline. They have a very good product but it took me 2 months just to get a quote as nobody answers their phones, or replies to voicemail, or responds to texts, or emails. Usual time for any response was 2 weeks after multiple attempts to communicate. Finally windows arrived 3 months after initial contact. Errors were made in window sizes. windows were damaged, incomplete, or missing. Missing components took a furt...
Read moreher 3 months before they turned up on site. Delivery dates and servicing appointments were extended on multiple occasions. Finally fly screens arrived and they are all too small by 10mm and have to be re-made. Incorrectly sized window was delivered unglazed and installed by Wideline representative only to fall out of the opening overnight - due to insufficient fastening. Now we have to wait a further 3 weeks for glazing and 2 weeks for a service call. Words to describe - Inept, Appalling, Incompetent, Non Communicative, Evasive, and Dishonest. The project was 32k for windows and doors and I will never deal with them again!- Product Quality

Terrible company
We built a brand new house and they sent defective windows out with pieces of the frame missing, havent fixed or replaced anything and once they run out of excuses they stop answering the phone. They shouldnt be allowed to trade with this many bad reviews and unhappy clients.

Don't buy from them!
Love the design of the windows. The execution was the issue. First arrived with incorrect reveals. Went back to the factory to be replaced. Returned with the correct reveals only to have powder coating chipped off every place on the frames where the old staples had been removed. 2 frames also bent on return. Went back to the factory a second time. I think they were remade at this stage, no informed me of what was happening with them. The whole experience was made worse by the total lack of communication from Wideline. Trucks arriving when I ...

Sales estimates have been incredibly helpful
Ive spoken to Shamila, at the Roseberry office, a few times now and she's always been incredibly helpful in going through the various window options and suggesting more economical alternatives. Time at Tuggerah has been equally helpful. The service has been fantastic. Charlie at the Warwhick Farm showroom was very insightful, patient and helpful in going through the various windows and doors.
Im very impressed by the quality of the windows that I saw in the showroom for the Ascend and Paragon particularly. The sliding stacker doors at 2.4m are very easy to open much to my surprise.

No responsibility taken for inferior materials
Three year old house fitted with all alloy screens due to bushfire requirements. Every single screen is corroded after three years and needs replacement. Image shows the facts. We live 15 km from the coast so salt spray is not the issue. Just cheap inferior materials used. Went back and forth with Wideline for weeks and ultimately they said that it is not their responsibility. Somehow this is my fault. It is beyond belief that I need to replece every screen in a new home after three years. I will fix them myself but I shouldnt have to.

Questions & Answers
Where are the weepholes in a Wideline 3 door sliding stacker door (approx 14 years old)? Ours doesn't seem to have any.
Hi, sliding stacking door weep holes are on the base or track of the sill depending on the style of sill you have. If you would like to send a photo of your door track we can help identify them. Email to [email protected]
Why would Wideline, make the windows x 3 and one door bigger, than our already built holes in the wall/stud opening size? I have spent all day trying to have the company speak to me on the phone, yet I am receiving emails of which my questions are NOT being responded too and the NSW Manager told me to go to Department of Fair Trading and he would be happy to talk to them (smugly/scarcastically I feel) and would start a file just in case. I have contacted DFT. We will proceed as requested by DFT staff to raise a formal complaint. I also don't want other customers to be STUNG by an error, where the company is now stating that we were ALL talking about aluminium window size (how could we, we don't know the aluminium profile of a double hung, fixed and double hung windows, or a double/double hung window or a glass door). We were talking about the "stud opening size"/the holes in the wall. His conclusion was to have the two walls of three window openings and one door opening redone by our builder (like it was his fault). Thereby this would mean pulling down two walls part-there-of and pulling off all the outside cladding and removal of the sarking of the two walls, to incorporate the larger than ordered windows. How did staff take my constant comments of "the holes are already built for the windows and doors" and produce windows and doors that do not fit the 'stud size opening' already there months ago? This is all so very tiring and should not be happening. Wideline did not supply windows/door on the agreed date costing us two builders that came and therefore could not fit the windows/door on that Tuesday as they were then coming on Friday (no apology, no compensation and a loss for us as we had to pay two builders for windows/door that did not come. Then when they came on Friday. The windows and door were too big and did not fit our holes in the wall. I am off to start the official paperwork of DFT and advised to take photos of the "holes in the wall". Where and how did this all go so very wrong? Wideline staff even talked to our builder who stressed that the sizes given were "stud opening size" ONLY. Staff told me that they can work out the reveals and the window size within this size opening. I clarified numerous times, these are the holes in the wall/stud opening size. I said will you be able to work out the reveals and windows within the holes already in the wall. Staff replied Yes, I can work this out as this is my job. As stated above on Friday the windows x 3 and door arrived and two builders hired to put these items into our wall openings, could not believe it, they were too big! At our expense for two builders @ 8 hours each, we continue to have no fitted windows or door and our building is open to the weather and has stopped us from lining the inside. Our conclusion; Wideline is in a hurry to get your money 50% up front, then full payment two weeks before delivery date and the day before delivery at 10.40pm via email on our phone, we are advised that the delivery date of Tuesday 12 January (my husband took the day off to reduce our cost of a second builder) was not happening due to a "material delay". Delivery date gets changed with little explanation or apology, then we were dragged out as to what day and told it could be anytime through to 5.30 pm. We were going to a funeral with a locked gated property. Our builders finished at 3.30pm. We had to push for a delivery for the Friday where our builders had started early, finishing jobs and once again our builders were present waiting for the windows/doors to come to install. I was told on Thursday to call back on Friday at 8.30 am I would be told what time the delivery would be. It was 11am. They put on another truck to drop these windows/doors to our property and after all of this, they are too big and will not fit into our stud opening/hole in the wall. This is NOT good enough! Any of it. Amanda ICAG Inc.

Hi, have just done a final inspection of our new house built by Montgomery homes. We have windows that wind outwards, however the hinges only go so far, ie they do not straighten so the windows can only open a short space, as the chain seems to only go so far. Is there a trick to going further, or is that all they go, seems like a design fault if thats the case, very small opening with very little airflow? Hope to hear back from you, regards Fran Edwards
