Interstate move from Sydney to Adelaide
No communication, informed of a ten day delay to my delivery on the day it was due. I was only informed because i rung up and asked where the delivery was. I took the day off work to be there for the delivery of goods and they just didn't show up.
Given advice by the sales consultant to take out insurance to ensure I am covered in the event of damage. Goods were damaged and my claim has been rejected because Wridgeways did not pack the items. They new this all along as I was always packing the goods mysel...Read more

Exceptional service and attention
We moved our home contents of 37 cubic metres from Sydney to Noosa in late November. I can't offer enough praise for the Wridgways removal team. At the Sydney end, they had to shuttle items to the van as there was no street parking available. For the delivery, the road transfer (from the train in Brisbane to our home) should have taken 2 hrs but took 6.5 hrs due to a traffic accident. At the Sydney and Sunshine Coast ends, the Wridgways teams were efficient, courteous, caring, friendly and helpful - despite the challenges they faced. An invent...Read more
ory was created for all boxes and great care went into itemising the contents of each box and ensuring that all fragile and delicate items were clearly marked and carefully packed. We got 3 quotes - and Wridgways was the least expensive. I can't fault them... or praise them enough, for a great moving experience.1 comment

I will never engage WridgWays again!
I recently relocated interstate with Wridgways and deeply regret my decision to choose this company.
It has been 30 days since my relocation, some of my possessions are still missing and Wridgways are unable to locate them. I am waiting on a decent status update and no one will return my calls within the promised time frames.
I am now waiting for a response from the Australian General Manager.
I am honestly shocked by the treatment I have received. The lack of communication and disregard for customer service is appalling. They do not value small business and I loathed giving 1 star for this review.
I strongly urge others to seek relocation services from alternative companies.

Terrible after sales service
We moved from Penrith to Brisbane. We were informed by the salesman that they would arrive with a 20ft container and load it. Then freight by train to Brisbane then Load container onto truck and deliver our goods. Reality is the lady in the Sydney office informed us, very abruptly, we would be getting a truck to pick the goods up because we don't have a full container, that is what actually happened they turned up with 2 trucks and loaded it. That meant our goods would now be handled minimum 3 times possibly 4 if it had be done the same way at ...Read more
Brisbane. Not happy about that so took out insurance to help mitigate any issues. It arrives in Brisbane and in front of me they break the legs off a very expensive china cabinet. Go to salesman and I said that I am not going to pay an excess because of the poor handling of their staff. He said no worries we will look after it and puts it higher up for attention. It was delivered to us on the 29th November. It is now 24th December, I have made at least 6 calls to salesman and he says that they will call today. Guess what no calls from anyone. We are a retired couple and moving has been stressful and this has been the worst service I have experienced. We are being ignored, treated like crap and would would not recommend this company at all. Sad indictment for the salesman involved who has never bothered to call us when the staff did not call, and the Company, who we thought being large, would be the best to go with. How wrong were we. They also damaged the top of a solid pine Sideboard. Photos attached.2 comments

Sly removalist with absolutely no regard for your belongings. Never moving with them again!
I engaged Wridgways to relocate a 1 bedroom apartment worth of items in Melbourne to Sydney in early December 2018. A confirmation of the payment was not sent to me by the move coordinator; [name removed] upon full payment that I had to make a call to ask about the status of the move. Whatever happened to customer service? This should have been the sign of things to come.
The uplift was supposed to happen at 12pm but not only were they late by a whole 2 hours but they did not have the basic courtesy to inform me. It was only after repeated c...Read more
alls to the customer service desk that I knew they were late. When the movers came, no care was exercised in handling my items - it was basically the movers throwing my stuff around. In addition, the movers punctured a hole in the apartment when moving the washing machine but it was my fault for not taking before and after pictures. Since they managed to get the job done within the stipulated 3 hours, I decided to let it go. Delivery of the items to my apartment in Sydney was on time and handling of items was considerably better than the movers during the uplift. However, to my horror, I found that the saucer plate holding my plant was broken. The movers did not inform me that the saucer plate was broken and was banking on me not noticing it. I was then told that the saucer plate was broken during the move and given how the movers were throwing boxes around even when there was an explicit "fragile" label, I am not surprised. Upon unpacking, I also found most of the bowls were broken as well and this is after using additional padding on the bowls as well as in the box. The only logical explanation for the bowls to be broken was that the movers were not treating fragile items with care and probably throwing the boxes around. Clearly a negligence on their part! I followed up with [name removed on the broken items and was told they will not be reimbursed, I asked for an explanation on 17th December but 10 days on, I have not gotten a response and will probably not get any. In short, Wridgways only care about you up till the point they secure their sales and you have paid the full amount. They exercised no care whatsoever in ensuring your items are safely transported and tried to be sneaky about it hoping you would forget. I only hired Wridgways due to the size of their company in handling interstate removals. I strong advise everyone to not hire Wridgways for your moves. I have seen smaller companies that have done a better job and should have just stuck to the previous removalist I used in my move from Sydney to Melbourne.2 comments

Company to be trusted with your most loved possessions
We found out that we needed to be on the other side of Australia with only 2+ weeks to pack-up everything, close everything, organise everything and we were so lucky that Georgia Kelty from WridgWays/Santa Fe Comp walked through our front door.
We had to supply a number of quotes from removalists and Georgia Kelty (WridgWays) impressed us with her professionalism, methodical practicalities and gentle, non pushy way. Georgia supplied us with lots of information in bite size pieces so we could understand what we needed to do, when we needed t...Read more
o do it, how to do it and if we couldn't, then she would do it for us if necessary. Georgia assessed our 3 x 2 home and 2 cars and 1 very chubby (ok ok, maybe fat) pussy cat. Explained how much room we needed, if we wanted it to be packed up by the company, unpacked on the other side of Australia, what to do with the cars, what to do with the heavily boned cat, insurances, right down to "what to do with the boxes and paper when everything is unpacked". So thank you to Wade and Warren for packing up all our "stuff" - amazing, so quick and so friendly. Kono and Darren for packing the boxes into the truck - these 2 are magical, how they got all those boxes in that sea container??? Then the Eastern side of Aus, John, Matt and Nathan for organising and unpacking all those damn boxes. If you need to move your home from 1 side of Australia to the other, and you want all your "stuff" that means the world to you, delivered as promised, unbroken by a company that takes so much pride and effort in making you feel like your goods are safe and cared for, then call Georgia Kelty at WridgWays (she is the Bomb! and she organises everything, and I mean, everything).1 comment

Never again- they treated us badly.
We were quoted $4346 by the Wridgways Estimator which we accepted. 7 days before the uplift we receive an email from Melbourne office informing us the price is now $8218. This is despicable treatment. As second time users of this company we expected much better treatment. Being pensioners our health has suffered, all caused by Wridgways lack of thought and consideration. SHAME on you Wridgways.

Dream of a move!!
This was a dream move, the staff on both were outstanding. On the move in day it was raining and our house is fully carpeted, the removalists took extra care and put down drop mats on both our floor and or belongings, they took extra time to wipe their feet well while they moved in and out the house. Nothing was to hard for the team. The whole interaction from the start to the end was easy and could not be faulted. Thank you.

Professional, straight-forward and a great company to deal with. Highly recommended.
My partner and I moved from Rochedale South (in Brisbane) to South Melbourne in February this year (2018).
We obtained a quote from two companies and Wridgways were more than $1000 cheaper than the other company. We even tried to negotiate with the other company, but they said they couldn't do any better on their price.
We dealt with Andrew at Wridgways, who was incredibly helpful. Communication was great and he answered all of our questions, which made us feel at ease that the move was going to go smoothly.

arrived on time (actually a bit earlier) which was great, and they were super friendly and great to have a laugh with. They were efficient and professional and even helped us move and load up furniture (that wasn't going to Melbourne) into my parent's ute to take to their house. They took their time to bubble wrap particular items and individually pack our breakable items super carefully, which made all the difference because not a single item arrived damaged or broken in Melbourne. On the other end (in Melbourne), the communication was just as good. We got a call the day before telling us exactly when our possessions would be arriving, and this removalist team was also great. Fast and efficient and made the move in process so much easier. Wridgways made our interstate move so seamless and stress-free and I would highly recommend them. There is nothing they could have done better. We will definitely use them again when we next move. Tomas P1 comment

Anyone looking to move overseas I would absolutely not recommend Wridgways. They have my entire shipment still in Australia after 13 weeks and are now not responding to my emails with any updates.
I have been patient and understanding and flexible (even in the lead up to the moving day) and I think it only fair for a business to attempt to be transparent and communicative in this process.

Do not use them
To be upfront, I won’t be using your services again and will not be recommending Wridgways to anyone in future.
I had various items broken during the move, including cheeseboards (which had sentimental value due to being a gift) and wine glasses. These were packed in boxes that were marked as “fragile” and also wrapped in layers of newspaper. The fact that only a few were broken, rather than all of them, indicates to me that the break wasn’t due to poor packing, but due to poor/rough handling of the boxes. Although I had purchased insurance...Read more
, with an excess of $200 it hardly seems worth the trouble. When in reality your guys should’ve just been careful to begin with. This was further emphasized to me, the nature of which items are handled by the staff members, as I was able to witness this firsthand. The two men who came to my property actually damaged my roof and chipped it (an entire chunk was taken off with a bedframe), resulting in a handyman having to come and re-plaster it. Although this did not come as a charge to me (and why should it), the handyman had to re-paint that section and the paint job was obvious. I am now hoping that I will not be liable for any re-painting job expenses that the landlord may need to incur as a result of this. I could see that the men were rushing and basically throwing my items around, without even noting whether it was fragile or not (even though it was clearly labelled for their benefit). Absolutely, disgustingly careless. Upon arrival in the new home, 3 of my boxes were completely opened. Which is odd considering I had taped/duct taped these boxes. As a result of it being open, dust and debris got into the boxes/items. Not to mention an invasion of my privacy.1 comment

As per your advice I send a instant email to the [email protected] with all of the details included(and information from previous correspondence). In the company that I work for, we have levels of escalation, probably much like yours as the use of your term "Urgent Escalation". Where I work, our Urgent Escalation has a turn around time of between 15 mins to 4 hours, depending on the situation. If we cant resolve the problem we advise the customer and will continue to work on it until an outcome is reached. We always acknowledge receipt of issues - especially if we are offering urgent escalation. Thus far, I have not received any confirmation of receipt of my email, I have had no further contact from your company - even after following the above advice. Once again, I am left disappointed, but sadly, not surprised. I understand Wridgways is a large company, but surely you must value customer service??? or maybe I am wrong to assume this. I keep giving the benefit of the doubt that I was just dealt a unfortunate situation from your company with the move, but more and more through this issue - and reading some of the other real comments, it seems that I am not alone and this situation is a common occurrence. Please see that the "Urgent Escalation" gets attended to. I am sure that there are people within your company, that have spend alot of time and pride building it, that would find some of these situations appalling. Maybe this is who you need to urgently escalate this matter too. I hope to receive a response soon. Regards, DavidSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Worst company I have ever dealt with.. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
We decided to use Wridgways for our move from WA to QLD because initially they seem professional, we needed to move our 3 bedroom house relatively quickly and with all the other hassle of moving states wanted to avoid dealing with the details. Wridgways came out, looked at all our stuff and gave us a quote that was above our budget, so through discussions on the phone we removed lots of very big items ( couches, beds, etc ), and got the quote to a reasonable level, We were assured that we would be provided with a "tight pack", and everything wo...Read more
uld fit with no problem. So far, so good. We are advised that the shipping container will be about 3/4 full. Box Packing day came and being busy we let the packers do there thing, during the which time I offered several times to dismantle some of the furniture ( specifically expedite shelves and dinning table/bench seats ) to minimise space and damage risk, I was advised this would be necessary and that the guys packing the boxes into the container would do this if needed. Next day the container packers came and start loading up, once again, I offer to dismantle things, once again my offer is rejected. Midway through the day the packers start suggesting that not everything is going to fit. During this time we look at some of the boxes and find that some are packed terribly, including a 30" tv in a box big enough for a 100" tv and a small xmas tree taking up a full sized box, even though the tree is around the size of a closed umbrella. Towards the end of the day, its clear that not everything is going to fit and discussions continue with head office, its now estimated that its going to take 1 + 1/4 containers, at this point we are informed that wridgways want about another 50% of the shipping cost to move the remaining items. When all your stuff is in the drive way and your house settlement is the following day, there really isn't much option for negotiation, however after some discussion the extra fee is reduced to about an extra 30%. Before we paid this, we managed to negotiate it down a little further with our contention that the extra space taken was due to poor estimation by Wridgways and poor packing by Wridgways. Eventually we get to QLD and start unpacking, only to find that many of the boxes look like they have been packed by a 5 year old, including such great packing as - many clear plastic tubs ( which had been left to pack things into ), had been packed empty into their cardboard boxes. Many electrical items had been left with their original packing boxes next to them, both the electrical items and their empty boxes had been packed together. Many boxes where 1/2 to 3/4 full, many items which clearly could be folded for packing had been left unfolded. Items "stacked" on top of each other in boxes, where they could clearly be stacked "in" each other. I am confident that if the items had been packed correctly they would have easily fit in the original container.2 comments

Run away from this company. Along with a loss of personal items which have never been found or paid for, the company gets every thing wrong. We employed them for an exclusive 40 ft container only to find after I left Australia they removed items without my consent and prompty lost an unknown amount of items as their inventory was not accurate.
I have not heard from them about my lost property since I was told by a manager they would fix it.
In short do yourself a favour DO NOT MOVE with this company. I could go on for pages regarding the problems we encountered but read the reviews and ask yourself why there are 4 or 5 fantastic reviews all in the same month ???? followed by reviews from people that had no end of issues.
Hope this helps

Hi Dv4,
Santa Fe Wridgways has a very strong reputation in Australia too, with 124 years of experience in moving both locally and globally. We acknowledge that every now and again mistakes can be made, and we make a genuine effort to resolve any issues that may occur during a move. The nature of our industry does mean that people are much more likely to share bad news rather than good news, and we regret that this can sometimes make it seem that our committment to Five Star Service has wavered. Whenever a negative review is received we contact the customer immediately, as long as they have provided identifying information, and will work collaboratively to ensure a resolution is reached. Our customers are what matters the most to us, and we would love to have the opportunity to prove this to you if you do choose to move with us. Please contact [email protected] if you have any further queries.
Regards,
Santa Fe Wridgways
I felt the until I received my property damaged and even when the driver signed a document and wrote that the move caused the damage, Santa Fe refused to reimburse.
I would not recommend them.
