Yates Weed 'n' Feed Liquid Hose-on
Pros
Cons
Won't come out of bottle
Level in bottle didn't change even after putting bottle down with hose on and walking away for 20mins came back to same amount in the bottle useless waist of time and money. Now at what ratio do I mix it with water so I can use it with a pressure spray pack
Water everywhere. Did the weed and feed do any good?
We did the weed and feed this morning so now will wait 4 weeks to see if this works. Neighbors lawn looks great. By reading the reviews I am not sure if product any good. Could end up with weird summer lawn for playing croquet on and summer bbq time
Hi Sal,
Thank you for your review. ...

As many other reviewers, I purchased 2 packs. After following the instructions regarding attachment and use, I sprayed for 1 hour with no change to the level. I will have to get a spray pack now. Not happy. Chose hose attachment bottle ad I have MS and the quickest, easiest method of delivery was chosen due to limited energy.
Please fix this issue or do not sell the packs with hose attachment.

Bad connection with back spray
The connection point is poor. I took in my hose connector to Bunnings with the product I purchased and asked them to attach it. They had trouble!! For all persons having this issue there are two fixes. One buy yes buy an adapter. Or as was the case of my hose connection SHOVE the damn thing on hard! Yes use force. The later solved my back spray issue and the product in the bottle was going down instead of remaining stagnant. Make sure you lift the black tab too. (To others being rude to some that are unable to work it all out it's not necessar...
Read morey). Now to the product. I applied and waited, waited, waited and waited. It had not rained for 2 weeks before applying product and did not rain for 4 days following application. After 2 weeks the weeds started to brown, after 3 weeks shrivelled and after 4 weeks started to completely die. Left my ground bare in a lot of places honestly I had a great deal of weeds in this rental property. (Renter). Then I waited a week before commencing watering. So beginning of second week I watered 3rd daily in the am for 40 mins via sprinkler. Waited and waited for greener grass growth that never came. Disappointed. In all honesty the ground underneath was poor. So maybe this had something to do with it. I have just applied it agin in our new rental with good soil underneath and will let you know how it goes.Find out how Yates Weed 'n' Feed Liquid Hose-on compares to other Garden Maintenance Products

Badly designed hose attachment
Some users have no trouble, many do. I'm one of the latter.
Connect hose - standard hose fitting. Check.
Raise black plastic tab at front: Check.
Result: still getting drowned.
Repeat with brand new hose connector.
Result: still getting drowned.
If you look at the connector fitting on the container, it has raised solid black pieces around the diameter, and these are too high for any standard connector to grip over. Result: the hose will only partially click on to the container fitting. Some of the water will certainly spray onto the lawn...
Confused
I have just sprayed my lawns with weed n feed and find that the bottle after application has no less liquid in it than before I started. Does this mean the bottle now has very diluted spray in it. Did I do something wrong?
Or are the instructions not clear?
Very easy to apply
Didn't seem to empty the container
I have used Yates Weed 'n'feed liquid spray on and another similar product.I no problems with the Yates one which clicked onto my hose fitting quite securely .However, the other product did not and so ...

Questions & Answers
1. What is the best hose connector to use with a 4L Yates Weed and Feed so that it doesn't pop off and spray water all over the place.
2. Can Yates colour the liquid so that we can see it coming out. (Seasol is brown and you can actually see it coming out with the water spray).
3. Can Yates please make the flip cap and on/off tap easier to operate. Near impossible for elderly people.
4. Does Yates have a concentrate that I can refill the bottle with. Seems a waste to throw a 4 litre bottle to landfill each time.
I just got set up to use this, following the instructions to the letter, and got a face full of liquid, the spay did not work ...water sprayed out in all directions, mainly up into my face...it sprayed out from all over the attachment ... unbelievably poor, didn't remotely look like the pics or video, ...thankfully I was wearing gloves and glasses but still got a face full!!!...did I just poison myself

Details
Features:
- The Yates Weed ‘n’ Feed Liquid Hose-on is a weed killer and fertiliser.
- It has added nitrogen fertiliser to help your lawn stay healthy and keep green.
- The weed killer selectively kills the most common broadleaf weeds found in lawns, such as bindii, clover, thistles, and dandelions.
- The formula contains a wetting agent, helping to improve the spray coverage and better penetrate leaves.
- Plant hormones in the product are absorbed by weeds and transferred to the roots, causing them to curl and yellow before being destroyed within 4 weeks.
- An on and off switch means you can attach the Hose-on straight to your garden hose and spray it on your yard directly. You can also dilute it in water and use a watering can for a more precise application.
What did reviewers think about the Yates Weed ‘n’ Feed Hose-on?
Reviews for this product were well and truly mixed. Reviewers who left positive feedback reported that it effectively killed broadleaf weeds on their yard, and said that the Hose-on was easy to use.
However, there were many reviewers who found that this product was difficult to use. They said that it was difficult to attach the snap-on hose connector to the bottle. Some also stated that the dispenser was unreliable, and that only water - and no chemicals - were being fed a lot of the time.
A few reviewers also noted that the product didn’t nourish their lawn or kill weeds - a few even said that it killed their grass or left it discoloured and patchy.
