Terrible product, don't waste your money.
I give the zodiac T3 a one out of five. The slightest debris stops the diaphragm. I can easily fix it but if I am not there to stop the pump and clear the diaphragm then the machine is useless. I bought what I understood to be a superior product only to find it to be basically worthless. The diaphragm design is terrible.
I really am very dissatisfied and disappointed in this product.

Diaphragm issues but still good
Over all the vacuum worked great and mine stays submerged 7 days a week-in an outdoor pool that is screened in. I previously had a barracuda and when it came time for replacment purchased a T3. The unit has been great with minimal to no problems except for to diaphragm replacements in 3 years. The hoses are exceptionally better then the previous version and I have not had to replace any in 3 years due to the twist connection style. For the people having issues with multiple diaphragms in a matter of months, I would recommend checking the plasti...Read more
c part that goes into the skimmer and making sure you have the proper pressure release setting. I am by no means a pool guy but figured it out relatively quickly as the vacuum is simple mechanics and will only care the diaphragm if the suction is too high or the vacuum is constantly picking up large items such as kids toys....1 comment

Zodiac T3 Works well
Purchased Zodiac T3 on line for a great price to replace my previous Barracuda which had simply perished with age. The T3 worked like a dream from the start and never gets stuck on the steps like the previous versions. However, after about 4-6 weeks it stopped working and until the pool man came out I was not aware that the diaphragm had split. as the split was not all that visible (until it was pointed out to me!!). Now, at the pool man's recommendation I only have the Zodiac in the pool for about 3 days per week and then remove to try to leng...Read more
then the life of the parts as my pool is now pristine clean. The filter continues to run on its cycles each day. Normally I check this site for reviews, but did not this time so was not aware of the diaphragm issues. It would certainly appear that Zodiac may need to go back to the drawing board in regard to the materials used to manufacture the diaphragms to help extend their life. Overall I am very happy with my Zodiac T3.1 comment

T3 barracuda review
The worst product i have ever bought i would never recommend this product i have had to replace diaphrams on my third one now in matter of months its an indoor pool clean and pressure set correct i would say design fault and manufactures probably make more money on spares than selling the cleaners one work to describe these units "JUNK"

my new T3 works great
Have just bought a new Zodiac T3 cleaner in April 2017. It was easy to set up and is working very well, would not do without it. This T3 replaced my last Zodiac cleaner which worked well for 12 years with only a few repairs and parts. Would recommend the Zodiac T3.

Had my t3 8 months and have gone through 2 diaphragms I can understan why they are difficult to deal
T3 works well enough when its working, would get a good star rating except for the diaphragms. Even though the suction has been adjusted using the pool pulse the diaphragms tear very easy and hard to get replaced on the warrantee.I should have read the reviews before purchasing .

I Agree with previous review - Diaphram destroyer!!
T3 does work well. We have had ours 8 months and today we are fitting our 5th diaphragm!!! The recommended suction pressure was set by a paid pool expert & we have tested it ourselves since. At $50 a pop (at our local pool shop) we are exasperated by the expense. We have previously owned two different Zodiac models and never had such problems. Have contacted Zodiac and was told to check the pressure as that is the probable cause. We think perhaps re-enginering of this part is required. Definitely wouldn't recommend this to other people.

T3 works well enough and would get a 4 star rating except for the diaphragms. Even though the suction has been adjusted using the pool pulse and there are only occasional leaves the diaphragms tear after a month or two. At $40 a diaphragm it is very expensive to maintain. It makes you wonder if that was Zodiacs intention all along.

More than impressed
I purchased the T3 in October 2016 As far as I'm concerned it is performing better than expected. I was worried initially after reading some reviews, but it has not faulted. My previous cleaner ( not a Zodiac ) was constantly stopping That's why I purchased this unit . No complaints here. RAY

Does the job... just.
Done the job, but gets clogged very easily & needs constant attention. With regular use I've found that a diaphragm lasts about 12 months & is ~$45 to replace.
However if you have to contact Zodiac for any reason, I've found that they take 2-3 weeks to reply to each email. In the end I got so annoyed with the company to deal with I threw this in the bin & brought another brand.

Hey Factory, want to buy it back
The diaphragms just suck. I have gone back to Leslie's pool supply about why in 4 months I have had to replace twice. I asked why the first lasted almost a year. I get the old " you must have a suction problem" answer. They had the nerve to look at me and say I could have changed filters or a twig got stuck in it. A twig I said, hearing, YEP. I could go on but what for. The T3 is just a piece of junk and urge others to stay away from it. Where can I get my old G2 back. As for Leslie's, please do not insult me by trying to say changing filters w...Read more

T3 Diaphragm Design Flaw
My T3 diaphragm lasts one month. It always splits at the yellow part. The suction pressure is set at two way below the recommended pressure. There is a design flaw in these cheap pieces. At $25 a hit at pool supply store, it's time to find a new cleaner. Pool supply store will only warranty the part one time. What are your R&D people doing to remedy this design flaw Zodiac?

Diaphragm splits
I bought our T3 online for a great price. But the cost of replacing the diaphragm is crazy. Splits all the time. You say it's meant for small debris. So how do I keep the leaves from going in our pool? You should put 10 extra in with a new T3 to make up for a bad design.

Does exacty what it claims!
As a new pool owner "we brought a house with an existing concrete block in ground pool" I had been manually vacuuming and this was ok but time consuming. I purchased the Zodiac T3 at our local home show. I followed the setup guides. Adjusted to get the correct flow and away it went. We don't have a skimmer box in our pool or return jets just a two simple PVC pipes coming up and over and down into our pool one for intake one for return. But this did not prevent me from connecting the Zodiac to our intake. The T3 moves around our pool without iss...Read more
ue never stops or get caught. Picks up all the debri in the pool and covers all areas of our pool. It never seems to follow the same track twice which is good. Quite simply it just works. Does exactly what it said on the box. I can leave the T3 running overnight or whilst away and return to find it working away. Brilliant product. Couldn't be happier.1 comment

Diaphragm eating machine
I purchased a T3 about a year ago. It cleans the pool fantastically and never gets trapped that it doesn’t free itself in a short time. However after about 9 months the diaphragm split so I bought another. After 4 months the new diaphragm split, so I bought another. After a little over a month that diaphragm split. At about $35 for each diaphragm this is getting expensive.

Works ok but only cleans half the pool.
Gets clogged up on the smallest of things. Hoses have started to rot out replacement cost of is $19 for 1 39" section off hose. I think it may be time to buy a new one but different brand. This is the third Barracuda product I have purchased in 10 years.

Very frustrating cleaner
It constantly gets stuck in corners and tends to land in one place and not move again. Would not recommend it in anyway. Also the diaphragm does not lock in so it tends to break easily. Additionally, once a small piece of debris gets trapped, it will not function properly.

Constantly stuck on the tiniest of seeds. My previous model, the aqua sphere brand, picked these up no trouble and deposited them in the basket. Very disappointed in the T3 which was recommended by the pool shop as a good replacement for my old pool cleaner. Currently back to hand cleaning .

T3 is a poor pool Vacum
Have had pools and cleaners for 35 years. Built a new pool, needed a vac. Have never had a diaphram cleaner before, liked the look of the T3 so ordered one. I spent many frustrating hours trying to get the thing to keep going but would alway get caught in the corner of the pool, just not worth spending more time trying to get going. I have sold it and bought a much more expensive other brand. Cost more but at least I don't have to waste time trying to make it work. My recommendation on the T3? Keep well clear.

I just bought a Zodiac T3 and the hose is sucking air so that the cartridge filter is not filtering. Had almost cleared the green issue in the pool and went to clean the bottom . When I got home from work the stuff was in suspension in the water again. Is there a way to seal the joints?
