Gets stuck at a step. Hopeless!

published

With the correct length hose, the cleaner head constantly gets stuck at a step. I have tried everything to resolve the issue to no avail.. I have adjusted the valve, redirected the pool jets, altered the weight position, laid the hose out in the sun (as per manual). I have even adjusted the clock on the Chlorinator so that the thing switches off and 'rests' every half hour. It works ok with a shortened hose but then misses vital parts of the pool. Its a poor product and should have been designed to deflect out of corners and steps. The service team were not sympathetic except they recommended another of their products which they say won't get stuck at steps....for $600!
I don't think so ZODIAC!

I took the suction head to the Pool shop who are agents for Zodiac. They said that the deflector wheel has no scope for adjustment. I tend to agree with them.

$400 Down The Drain, Except It Got Blocked Again.

Complete waste of money - 60000 L concrete pool and it won't even pick up leaf debris. New pump, filter and all the vacuum lines replaced so there's no air leaks. Vacuum level is spot of within recommended range, still stops every 20 minutes. Doesn't climb walls and gets stuck in every corner.

Disappointing Zodiac T3!!

published

This is my 3rd zodiac, other than diaphragms splitting on a regular basis the others were great. This one is next to useless, smallest piece of debris stops it, without an extra guard on hose 350mm above one supplied, it stops in corners. Worst of all, it only does figure eights around the pool, so if bits that need cleaning are not in this figure 8, get out your vacuum. Only way to get it half reasonable is to adjust water jets to move cleaner head around pool, in best position for this, surface debris goes past, not into skimmer box, creating more work.

Waste of time

I have a rectangular pool and it gets stuck at every corner. If i shorten the hose and it doesnt reach a corner it works ok but not great. All will not climb walls or stairs. Not a product as advertised And I'm really wondering why when I rate is it you I have to write more words.

Worst cleaner I've ever owned!

published

The previous Zodiac cleaner - LM3 - was supposed to be the worst cleaner ever made!

Wrong!

The T3 kills it for absolutely useless!

The smallest leaf or piece of debris will cause it to block up the silicone diaphragm and though this item has been upgraded by Zodiac is remains useless!

I would prefer red hot needles plunged into meys before I ever bought another Zodiac pool cleaning product!

This pool cleaner has a problem. 1 small leaf will stop the cleaner. I have had other similar cleaners but this is the worst.

Don't buy it

Gets stuck too easy with one leaf. Also the plastic casing is breaking from uv exposure. Had it for 2 years only and looking for a replacement. Have wasted too much of valuable weekend trying to fix it. What else? Oh yeah it's made in Australia. What a pity. We can

Zodiac T3 is my saviour!

published

I've had some similar looking cleaners but the T3 is the real deal. My pool hasn't been this clean for years. Simple design, but it gets all over my pool, up the walls and doesn't get stuck in corners. Only takes seconds to dislodge gum nuts that have only caught up twice in a month. I'm soooo happy.
Set and forget.

Our zodiac t3 keeps breaking diaphragms . It is two years old so no warrantee. Our local pool shop have replaced 3, Two for free but will not replace any more . If it is a suction issue how can you lower the suction beyond the lowest position ?

No problems with diaphragms. Earlier issues now resolved and now operating fine.

I have replaced mine about 6 times. They are the worst designed units.

And just like that another one broke on my cleaner. It lasted about 6 weeks. What a joke.

I just bought a Zodiac T3 and the hose is sucking air so that the cartridge filter is not filtering. Had almost cleared the green issue in the pool and went to clean the bottom . When I got home from work the stuff was in suspension in the water again. Is there a way to seal the joints?
