Very poor service and information.!
I called two weeks before I bring my bike to intall a new set of hydraulic back break .they said $40. I explained that its inner cable .they said yes $50 if your not a member $40 if you're a member. Then the day before I bring the bike in called them again, same thing.happy to bring my bike the nxt day and after they fixed it they charging me $75.I was not happy and called them ask why. Great old-time customer service which is so lacking in so many other places these days
I had a puncture repaired several weeks ago and I purchased a small hand pump.
As I have bad arthritis in my hands I could not work the pump.
Last week I had another puncture which I cannot repair because of arthritis.
I asked if I could return the unopened pump and take the price off the cost of the lastest repair.
Very happy to go in today and be greeted by friendly staff and the cost of the second repair covered by the cost of the pump.
No arguments. Just plain olden days great customer service that us older people do not always receive. Every staff member I dealt with was happy and the warehouse was enforcing social distancing.

Customer service the worst I have ever experienced
I often give positive feedback so I don't feel bad when circumstances require constructive feedback. Macgregor has a particular employee who has the worst approach to customer interaction that I have ever experienced, and for this, I will never return to that store. It was so bad that I attempted to get in touch with management through their internal escalation procedure, yet management didn't even have the courtesy to acknowledge my feedback/concerns.

Great service and passion
Well known Brisbane shop attendants with great knowledge and history owning and running previous bike shops. They seem to have the answer for every one of my questions from bike tyres to decals for wheels. Also happy to send you to another shop when they don’t have the best item

Don't carry spare parts.
I have tried on more than one occasion to buy simple parts for my bikes and this store does not carry simple things like BMX chains, brake levers or cables. This is why people buy on the internet. The public try to buy local and get nothing less than frustrated. This is a poorly run store with no idea of what customers want.

Great Buying Experience
I had my eye on the Norco Charger 9.1 for more than a month before I finally decided to find out more information. It was reduced from $1999 to $1399, an amazing $600 off. I went firstly to the Fortitude Valley store, got great service and was measured for my bike.
It was a clearance model so I was not expecting it to be in stock to try it out.

ally needed a small frame (15") and it was surprising that in the whole store there was not a frame of that size in any brand i could try. Obviously I want to have a test ride before dropping more than $1000 on a bike. The sales assistant suggested that I could pay a refundable deposit, they would get it in and I could have a test. I was impressed that they could do this for me. Cheekily I asked if they could do any better on the price and amazingly they took another $100 off. It was a no-brainer to pay a deposit to have a test. My existing bike has a 15" frame so the 15" frame Norco (only size available) is a good fit.1 comment

Worst after sale service
Bought a $2k Merida ride 4000, sales staff said what an awesome bike, etc. etc. Bad squeak in frame after 4 mths and ridden maybe a dozen times. Took it to Macgregor store who told me it was not a warranty issue and not unusual. They charge me $40 to fix. So I am to spend $40 p/m. Mechanic was useless in my opinion and then tried to make all sorts of false excuses. Bike still squeaks. Avoid!!

ned the situation. They inspected the derailleur and noticed that the derailleur hanger was bent. They couldn't fix this as part of the free service but charged me half price ($20) because they missed it in the first service. I was satisfied that they admitted fault and apologised.
